"Bed and Boooze"
Was a nice little place that is conveniently close to the train station. We chose it so that we can enjoy Rome without having to rely on a taxi and having to haul our luggage around since our intinerary included traveling to other parts of Italy via train. However, it is misnamed. They do not offer breakfast but do have a stocked bar that you can just […] use to make your own drinks. No ice though...so be warned. "Excellent but hard to get in"
We were very pleased with this hotel. The pictures don't lie and what we saw online is what we got once there. Very comfortable and clean facilities. The location is very convenient. The only reason we gave it an overall rating of 4 vs. 5 is because nobody was at the bed and breakfast when we arrived (shortly before 1PM). We could not enter the building […] (it's an apartment building and La Habana is a 3 bedroom B&B inside an apartment). The doorbell had a telephone number on it and says to call it if nobody answers the doorbell. That is fine if you live in Europe and have European phone service. However, if you don't have a local phone, you are at a loss trying to call the number or you may have to pay international calling rates to reach the owners. We still would highly recommend this B&B to anyone, just be prepared to contact the owners via phone upon arrival. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I was not expecting too much from this B&B because of the price, but I was wrong to judge. The room was very clean, the bathroom was a lot nicer than what I was expecting, the gentlemen running the B&B emailed me the day before we were due to show up in Rome to let me know that if were going to be getting to Rome earlier than check-in he could accommodate […] us for no extra charge and gave us his cell number in case we got lost. The room was actually really nice. I will admit it was a little hard to find but if I would go back to Rome I would defiantly stay here again. It is also conveniently right next to the train and subway station. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent cost benefit"
Friendly service, clean room and bathroom. Very good location, close to Termini station. Only one inconvenience was the misundertand of information: the web site inform the payment should be in the check out by credit card, but the hotel charged in cash at check in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Experience, Location and Comfort When in Rome"
We traveled by foot and train and this B&B was perfect! We were literally a block from the train station which made it easy for walking with a roller bag and backpack. We did not hear any train noise since we were on the opposite side the block. The neighborhood is comparable to most major downtown cities (not the cleanest), but we always felt safe. […] We arrived at two large wood doors with a sign for La Habana. We buzzed up and were greeted by Ulli the owner. He was so friendly and welcoming. We walked from the main hallway of the flat and were shown to one of three rooms. Our room was bright, clean and modern. There is a bathroom in the room which was spacious and the shower was the largest we've had during our travels. He provided shampoo, soap and towels and a built in blow dryer (not all hotels provide this in Europe). We had a safe and refrigerator in our room. It was better than most European hotels. The bed was a king (not two beds pulled together). It was so comfortable. The window looked out onto a park and it was so quiet. Ulli provided us with a map and pointed our local joints and places to see. He was so accommodating and helped us to immerse ourselves in the local vibe. He provided a beautiful breakfast and coffee each morning. He left us alone unless we asked questions or wanted to chat. We truly enjoyed his company. We couldn't have asked for a better place and yes, we would stay with at La Habana again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very polite, room was small but the staff were very helpful and polite - their advice about the metro links helped us a huge amount. The B&B is 2 minutes walk from the main train station and metro links! We did have to wait outside until the owner arrived, but only about 5 minutes!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nicely located and transpotation to it is good"
My Stay was brilliant in this hotel. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Only thing that It had no Air-conditioning system. The weather at the time I spent in the La Habana was cool but later in the summer it is going to be hot there. Consideration should be given to this.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, close to the station"
This B&B was located right across from Rome's termini (central station). A clean modern room was perfect for an overnight in Rome. Will stay again and recommend to friends and family.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great host, super clean room, no breakfast, but bar available and free! Surrounding neighbourhood didn't feel safe at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great service with clean room n frendly staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is within a block of the main train station, and since there is an airport bus (for 4 euros) that leaves from the train station, this is an ideal place to stay the night before flying. The building itself is a bit off-putting and the only indication that you've arrived is a door buzzer marked La Habana. You must wait to be buzzed in, so make […] sure they're expecting you. Despite being called a B&B they don't serve breakfast currently. The elevator is tiny, old contraption. Despite all these issues, the room and bathroom were nice, large, and spotless. So, this is an inexpensive option located perfectly for traveling onward via train or plane. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was clean and tidy. There were no personal when we arrived and we had to call them to come to open the door. Luckily it wasn't that big of a deal and they arrived in 5 minutes to let us in. The breakfast was basically only white bread with jam and coffee (which northern people might think it's not enough). But the owner was very helpful and […] bought us also yoghurt at the breakfast when we asked. There were a hair dryer, tv and a safety box in the room. No iron. Free wifi worked well. They cleaned the room every day and changed the towels and sheets. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful stay in Rome"
The hotel is just few minutes away from Rome Termini, excellent location. Owner is so nice and friendly, fluent in English. Room is newly renovated with air con (that was a big relief cause it was super hot in Rome during our stay). Overall, we had an excellent stay with La Habana and will definitely choose it again when we are back in the future!

Termini. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Déco très sympa, accueil également. Literie confortable.

If I ever come to Rome for holidays again, I would definitely choose La Habana B&B for sure. The location is great and the hostel is owned by a very nice married couple. The room is clean and well furnished, and they offer breakfast too. Just the check out time is a bit too early(at 10am). But overall, it's a perfect place to stay in Rome if you don't […] want to spend too much on hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Functional guesthouse close to Termini"
02/22/15 joe_cy Larnaka, Cyprus
When we arrived, there was nobody there although we did specify our time of arrival when booking (through booking.com). We called the number provided and our host came in about 15 mins, not a big problem, it was just a bit strange waiting in the corridor. Check in was friendly and efficient. The room was quite big, a very comfortable bed and pillow - great for us as we had only a few hours to sleep. Design may be not to everybody's taste but it was OK. Very close to Termini station, convenient if you need to take a train or bus early in the morning. All in all, this guesthouse is a good value for money.

Clean, nice bed, hot water, heat and 5 min away from termini station. Go for it! Strongly recomended! The man who has the rooms is funny and friendly. La habana is near to everything you may need. Food , drinks, walks, historical centre etc.
"Comfortable and convenient and modern"

This is right next to the train station so it was very convenient for us arriving for one night from Naples before flying home. Very clean and modern. Looks just like the pictures. Window overlooks the park. Call when arriving and owner is there in five minutes. He is very friendly and helpful. 3 rooms with a nice common area he sets up for drinks in the evening which is a nice touch.
"Great location with Clean Rooms"
10/08/14 mokshaowei Singapore
Located just across Roma Termini, so it's really accessible, especially if you are coming to Rome via train. The metro station is just next door to the train station, so exploring the city was a breeze. Clean room (looks newly renovated), strong wifi connection, and the common corridor comes with a free mini bar and nespresso. And there's a safe in the room. I would say it's very comprehensive for tourists who would be spending most of their time exploring the city. Only downs of the stay were that the portable aircon was a little noisy. Likewise for the streets just below the apartment. Nonetheless, a pretty good experience.
"B&B without breakfast"
09/03/14 LHH1111 Aalborg, Denmark
We stayed at B&B Roma Central for 5 days in August 2014. We ordered our stay at Hotels.com in June with breakfast included. When we arrived we were told that breakfast was not included but instead there was a free bar. This lead to extra expenses. It was hard to get in touch with the host. It was a nice and new renovated room, it was cleaned everyday, and there was an aircondition but it was a bit noisy. The area around the B&B was a bit uncomfortable at night with a lot of homeless people due to the small distance to the central station. It is a nice place to stay if you only need a place to sleep for a night or two.
"Ideal Location, Clean Rooms, Great Access to City"
07/07/14 Grace C Singapore, Singapore
We arrived very early into Rome Termini (Main train station) at around 9.30am and located La Habana B&B within minutes using the map provided on their website. It was so easy to locate and it was our first time to Rome. Upon reaching, we had to telephone the owner to come and open the door for us (He will not be there all day all the time, but he comes very quickly as soon as you give him a call). The room was so clean and decent with attached bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there was also wifi included. Just a stone's throw away from Termini station, it made our transport options much easier. A little noisy at night but that's because we chose to sleep with our windows opened to enjoy the cool night breeze. A short walk to Colosseum (15mins) as well. It was very nice and easy to move around with this location. The owner of La Habana made check in and check out so easy and fuss free. We stayed twice at this B& B on the same trip, once was in room 103 for one night before we left for Capri and then we were back again in Room 101 for 2 more nights. Termini station is so convenient, we could catch a bus to the city area avoiding the mad rush on the metros. The Vatican is a couple of metro stops away, the Spanish steps is just 2 stops away, it's all very easy. When moving around Termini area, do be cautious as there are many people around and you just want to be safe with your belongings. Just stay alert and aware of your surroundings and all is fine! All was good and we will definitely return to stay if we ever come to Rome once again.
"Clean and Cozy Base to Explore Rome"
05/25/14 hkg2009hkg Hong Kong
Only a few blocks from Termini on a quieter street, this B&B is on the 1st floor with 3 rooms. Buzz the intercom downstairs or ring them up as there is no official reception desk, but I was lucky to bump into their staff upon arrival. Didn't feel unsafe despite my evening arrival although there are a lot of questionable folks hanging around Termini or sleeping there for the night. Room is clean and cozy with stable wifi connection. Breakfast is sporadically served with juice, water, and packaged breads kept on the table in the corridor. Maps are available as well. Great base to explore Rome. It's a bit pricey, but Rome is generally an expensive city with few budget hotel/B&B options in the city centre.
"Not a good experience"
10/04/13 nobags everett, WA
I am giving this three stars rather than two because the couple who own it are very nice and the room was clean. The day we arrived was 80 degrees which is warm for us.( we are from the pacific NW in the US) We put on the air con before we went to dinner but when we got back it was turned off with a note on the unit saying the nights are cool and we don't need to use it, just open the window. The room finally cooled off about 3am but the garbage trucks started. Went on for an hour. B&B is on the first floor so it was noisy. Breakfast consisted of a whole pear and a whole apple, juice, packaged pastry and stale bread. If you stay bring ear plugs and eat breakfast out.
"Excellent location, basic and clean"
08/27/13 Vincent Y Hong Kong
Have stayed there for 2 nights. Location is excellent and just next block to the Termini. Very convenient for taking metro/bus for rome city visit and train to town nearby as well. We arrived by the airport train and what you have to do is to get an exit just next to the platform and you can arrive the B&B in just 2 mins! The staff there is helpful in helping us to check-in and store our luggage (as we arrive early in the morning), and gave us a brife introduction on the location of the main attraction. The room is actually a basic one (not much different from photos here) but that's all we need as it is tidy, with good wi-fi, clean private bath room and air-con. Obviously it's newly renovated and things are new. Breakfast is simple with bread, coffee, toast, biscuit, juice, etc.. Lot's of restaurant surrounding and you can find supermarket inside the Termini. The only point to mention is that the air-con isn't that strong. Need to be patient waiting for the cool air to come. Struggle in the first 2 hours we turned in on but fine in the mid-night. Given the price we paid, this B&B did provided all we need and have a good balance between price and value.
"Convenient, could use a few upgrades"
07/16/13 mrmnem New York City, New York
We stayed as a couple for five nights, during an escape to Rome. The location is very convenient: just 2 or 3 minutes walking from Termini station. If you're coming from afar, at least you don't have to bother taking a cab, bus or subway to your final destination. Although the neighborhood is a typical "train station surrounding" (understand: not necessarily as nice as the rest of the city), you won't get into any trouble, day or night. You're right next to the Termini subway station, central bus station, and it's an easy walk to basically anywhere in the ancient Rome (it will take you 30-40 minutes of a very pleasant walk to go to Piazza Navona) Checking in was a bit special, as no one was there when we arrived. There was a note asking us to call a number, and then a waiter from the restaurant next door brought us the key. It's fine with me as I'm used to traveling to new places, and speak a little Italian, but that could be a stressful surprise if you don't expect this kind of situation - it could be nice upon booking / a few days before arrival to know when they expect to be present or not. The tenants were pleasant; luckily we had money with us as they requested full payment upfront (our booking said payment upon check-out). The room was pretty big and the bed comfortable - everything looked like it was updated recently; there's a big AC unit, a bit noisy but pretty efficient. Each room has a private bathroom; ours was fairly small and unfortunately had a constant sewer smell. You'll survive if you're staying one or two night, but it was a bit more of an issue for us, staying five. Breakfast was a buffet, with some toast, cereals and fresh fruits + coffee and juice, overall OK even though it was nothing exceptional. The concept is between a B&B and a small hotel. It's more affordable than most hotels in the city, overall convenient and did the job for us, despite some inconveniences. In a city like Rome, I'd say it's still on the better side if you're not willing to spend a fortune on lodging, but for sure a few improvements would do it some good.
