Nice place. Walking distance to metro. If you do not have heavy suitcases then take the metro from Airport instead of cabs. Great spread for Breakfast buffet. We had a suite. Only one bathroom. An extra half bath would be prefect or at least an extra sink (instead of a lot of cupboard space). Friendly and helpful staff.

Convenient to downtown and impeccable room and service! Breakfast buffet was splendid. Beautiful decor and funky. Only thing missing is airport transfer. It cost $60 US dollars each way to reach this hotel. They could attract more hotel stays with an affordable airport transfer....taxis out front of hotel. I loved this place! (They need only a gym and pool to make it truly perfect!) Neighborhood surrounding is clean, safe and charming!

The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Gran Via metro station and close to lots of restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It has air-con and TV, although I didn't need them. The best value I have had in quite a while.

This place was nice and in a great location. The staff were friendly and it had a 24 hour reception and elevator. The only downside was the bathroom had no door handle so it didn't really close properly. Tell your taxi driver to take you to the McDonald's on Gran Via. The hotel is located right in the heart of madrid with all the sightseeing at walking distance. It is quite clean, the staff is very helpful and while it is a little run down, the price makes up for that. The only two issues i found with it is the noise at night because our windiws gave directly to gran via which is the main street with a lot of traffic […] and nightlife and the street it is located on is similar at night to a red light district. Pros: easy to find, very centrally located, few meters away from metro station and 3 min stroll from the Sol area, excellent room/bathroom quality and service, has air conditioner, overall better than some 3-star hotels I've stayed at. Cons: the elevators are a bit tight and sometimes won't open on the required floor but would go to some other floor, […] but that's a minor issue. Also beware that it's a red light area, hence a dozen or so ladies in miniskirts would patrol the street at night time, although they are not very noticeable in the crowds of tourists and there is nothing particularly gross or explicit going on. Very convenient central location, virtually on top of the Gran Via Metro. This meant that Sol was less than 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of restaurants available locally including a McDonalds next door. The sign on the door says Hostel rather than hotel and so I was a little wary. This is a nice hotel with friendly English speaking staff and small clean rooms but currently it has significant drawbacks which mean that I can't recommend it. The hotel is on the fifth and sixth floors of a building. It seems that the first four floors have been completely gutted and are being rebuilt. This means that during the week work (loud drilling […] etc) starts at 8 in the morning or before. Second the walls are thin which means that loud groups can wake you up at any time in the night (for us it was 5 in the morning one night and 4 the next night despite the hotel having moved us!). Third outside the entrance is a 'hot spot' for prostitution - surprisingly not as seedy as it sounds (there is a police station down the road) but you might want to think twice about who you are going with. El hotel esta ubicado entre la Gran via y Puerta del Sol, para recorrer Madrid es lo mejor porque te moves a todos lados caminando. Tiene un metro a metros de la puerta del hotel. La habitación es pequeña pero limpia y todo esta en buen estado. En la recepcion son muy serviciales

Llegamos en metro a la estación la gran via y el hotel estaba justo en frente nuestro! en pleno centro de madrid y con muchos lugares de interes muy cerca, limpio y comodo, nuestra habitacion tenia balcon a la gran via la vista era super pero habia un poco de bulla en las noches.

Hosteli oli erinomainen, ja hintansa väärti. Siisti huone, ja muutkin tilat. Henkilökunta puhui englantia ja oli varsin ystävällistä. Paikka oli muuten erinomainen, keskellä kaikkea toimintaa, mutta kävelykatu jonka varrelle hosteli oli, oli samalla "punaisten lyhtyjen katu", vaikka toisaalta oli myös läpikulkukatu kaikille ihmisille.

Das Hostal Jerez liegt extrem zentral - besser geht nimmer :-) Da es auch Zimmer zur Gran Via hat, sind nicht alle optimal, wobei die Fenster (und Ohrenstöpsel) den Strassenlärm schon unterdrücken! Sehr sauber und freundliches Personal. Zu empfehlen!
