The hotel owner was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast choices which were included were great! We arrived during a cold period and it snowed and was very windy. The heat was not sufficient in the two rooms we reserved. That is my only complaint. Otherwise would be a great place to stay in good weather.

great place. only downside was the bathroom was about 18 inches wide. my knees literally touched the wall when i was sitting on toilet and i'm not a big person! but i'm sure all the bathrooms are not that small. the towels in the room were huge and fluffy. breakfast was adequate.

We had troubles finding maps to the hotel, but based on another person's review indicating that the hotel was just a short walk through the tunnel, we were easily able to find it. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We loved staying at Giovanni Rooms! We would definitely stay here again. You couldn't find a better location. The view is absolutely stunning. I think Manarola's the most beautiful city to stay in, too. The rooms are really nice and well kept. The only thing to keep in mind is that walking to the hotel from the train station is a little bit of a hike, just because it's near the top of the city. It doesn't take long (5-10 min.), but it's steep. It was fine for us, but a little bit hard on my older in-laws.

"Amazing view but very small room"
I'm sure that we would have enjoyed this stay more if it hadn't been early March and pouring rain! The view from the room would have been amazing. It's beautiful in Vernazza, but only book this room if you don't mind dragging your bags up some very steep steps. "Worth the walk"
Elisabetta isn't actually a hotel but we had a fabulous room with the most amazing views. The long walk up all the steps was certainly worth the effort. It was so good we decided to stay another night. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and trusting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I would highly recommend this hotel! We found it after we couldn't get another hotel that my parents had stayed at a few years ago. We have 2 sons so we had an apartment for 4 people. There is a bit of a climb on stairs to get to the hotel but that is what makes it so worth while! It is high at the top of the town so the views are stunning! The roof […] top terrace is amazing! We always travel light (2 of the smallest suitcases for 4 people for a month) so the stairs weren't bad at all. The owners were so kind and accomodating and really made us feel special. The room was spotless and had all the basics we needed for our stay. It also had a lot of charm which I wasn't sure it would have...I felt like we were staying in a real Italian apartment! The bed was a bit on the hard side but we are finding that is is the same everywhere in Italy. We can't wait to go back...maybe this time without our kids so it can be more romantic!! OK, the room was small. OK, there were no air conditioning. OK, there wasn't much in the way of extra comforts. But who cares with the most amazing view I've ever had in any hotel! Vi kom til et hotell som var under oppussing. Det var reist et stillas rundt hele hotellet, og arbeiderne startet arbeidet med hamring og boring kl. 07.00 hver morgen. Dette medførte også mye støv inn på rommene. Det var ingen reinhold på rommene og vi så heller ikke noe til hotelleierne.
