Good place to stay in terms of cost and location. Small rooms, but comfortable. Bathroom is fine. Breakfast is pretty bad (and I know European breakfast very well) but they do bring that bad breakfast right to your room! Staff (of 1) was very nice and truly concerned that everything was ok. Would (will) use this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Reasonable Spot in Rome"
I would classify this spot as more of the "guest house" than a hotel. The room was simple and clean. The breakfast delivered every morning was very nice but this is not a hotel in the traditional sense. It is a little hard to find - no sign, etc. It does not have any type of concierge or community spaces. The gentleman that handles check-in, breakfast […] delivery and maintenance was very nice but did not speak very much English so communication was a little tough. The location was pretty good for sightseeing - it is close to the Colosseum but there isn't very much nightlife in the area. It is affordable and nice if you are traveling with more than 2 people (we were a group of 3) and it was very difficult in our hotel search to find a place that accommodated 3 people that was not a hostel. Definitely good spot for staying with friends, not sure if I would recommend it for a romantic getaway. The beds were a little hard but the rest of the room/bathroom were nice and clean. The free wireless internet was also a HUGE plus. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent hotel but sketchy surroundings"
When I first arrived at the hotel I was extremely disappointed by the surrounding mainly because I was new to Rome and it was not at all what I expected. I felt like I was entering the "Projects" but the hotel staffs were friendly and kept to themselves, they gave us some great tips on subways and buses and all the major landmarks to hit. I wish the […] hotel was a bit manicured and didnt look too much like a motel but overall I was satisfied since we were close to the main subway station Termini and the Colosseum, unfortunately the area just looked a bit "ghetto". We were happy that there were good restaurants near by. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ottima posizione centrale"
"Günstiges Hotel in guter Lage"
Das Appartment befindet sich im 3. Stock.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to sleep but that's it."
The rooms have what you need, are clean and the hotel keeper does his best. This hotel are rooms in a big building, lots of noise between rooms which is a lack a privacy. Very well located. Just a place to sleep, nothing more. Internet is on and off. If you want enjoy the hotel for commodity it's not for you.Genuine Expedia guest review

"mögligt badrum men bra läge"

"Serviceable but be aware."
05/31/14 Blutomattey Winnipeg, Canada
This is NOT a hotel...more of a guest house really. Several rooms in an apartment complex on the Via Merculana. The rooms were small but serviceable and clean. There was no hot water for my morning shower but there was the night before for my wife's. The location is decent: a brisk walk from the main train station, a light walk to the Colliseum and a 45 minute trudge from the Trevi fountain. The neighbourhood seemed quite nice and lively along the Via Mervulana but we didn't have the time to go local. Perhaps the worst thing about our stay was the strong body odor of the gentleman who both checked us in and out the next morning. Whoa Nelly!

Best described as...interesting. First off, I have to say it's a very good location, and very good value for money. I'd probably return, knowing what I know now. We had the 3 person room (there were 3 of us!). Having read the issues of finding this 'hotel', I emailed the owner with a Google Streetview screenshot to confirm the location. He replied quickly confirming it. Also, having read that credit cards were not accepted, I emailed about this and was told that of course they were. So, we eventually found it - wish I'd taken the streetview pic. Be aware that the rooms are in a block of apartments, and you'll need to use the left hand set of buzzers. Be patient when buzzing...the rooms are on the 3rd floor and it'll take him a while to get down. He just managed to get himself and 3 cases into the lift (elevator). Smallest. Lift. Ever. Bedroom was ok, bathroom could use some tlc, especially mould and mildew remover around the shower and the ceiling above it flaking. Breakfast was interesting. Wasn't expecting much, but a perfectly acceptable continental breakfast was delivered at the time requested. Nowhere to eat it though. A small box of rice krispies was included. Unfortunately, the owner supplied no bowl (or milk) and when I asked for one, he suggested that I eat them dry, out of the packet. Oh well, it takes all sorts! The advertised internet wasn't working on the day we got there. I was assured that the 'technician' was sorting it out the next day - still wasn't working 2 days later. Also, the lock on our (sliding door) bathroom didn't work, and when I asked what was going on he said this was "normal". I think not. Came to settle up, and I presented my credit card. "Oh no" and a shake of the head was the response. I pointed out to him that I'd emailed previously and he'd said it was ok, and he reluctantly produced a credit card machine (although he insisted the local tax be paid by cash). I hope he replaced the keys (you need 4) that he dropped down the lift shaft when we were leaving, but I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't! Basically a 1-man operation so don't expect miracles. Oh, and I suggest you wear earplugs to bed if you're sleeping there on Friday morning. He gets his weekly food delivery at 5:15am, and it takes forever for him to answer the door. The buzzer is VERY loud and the delivery person does a VERY good job of ringing it. As I said, everything considered, I'd stay again. Forewarned is forearmed.
"not a hotel"

I paid for a room in hotel in Rome and it was nothing close to it. the place has no name, no identification on the street. I was looking for it with paper on hand until a person open the door of a "condominium building" I asked and they directed me to a third floor on a very narrow lift (one person only) once I arrived there was and apartment door open and that was the "hotel" a flat that rents rooms with no other service around. The person in charge didn't speak English. total disaster. I am complaining to the agency that sold me this service as a hotel room, where there is like a clandestine place renting rooms inside a flat without any identification name.

A very clean place. Room was not very big but large enough for resting after long walks around rome. Breakfast was continental and although not very exciting was sufficient ready for a busy day ahead. The chap on reception was very friendly and pleasant and helpful although English and Italian limited. All in all brilliant location to get to everywhere, conveniently located 15 min walk from termini station and around 10 mins from the collaseum. Pleasant neighbourhood, felt safe. Good value

Hi I travelled with my teenage daughter. It was a bit hard to find as we didn't understand the building. and stood outside looking at the bells!. However once we rang the bell we were welcomed warmly and shown every curtesy. They could do with a picture of the door so you understand where you ring!"We were pleased with the room. It was spacious and very clean.breakfast was delivered every morning. If you are on a buget this is a little gem. Nice clean towels sheets etc. The collesum was less than 3minutes away. Just around the corner!. We were stunned it was so near. The sights were easy to walk to.Just note the termini was a short walk(10 min or less) and the bus to the airport was $4 euros! compared to $48euros for a taxi! Also go to the termi to buy any bus tickets as they have better offers on for winter There was a good selection of shops to buy food very near and several resteruants. We found the best was manuelle? which is left out the door to the bottom of the road cross the road and go up to the top of road. It had wonderful home made foods especially desserts. I would say it is a grown up traveller place .Not a hotel but much much better than English B&B. All in al a little gem.

Strategic position. I was in Rome this month just before arriving in asia. I had promised the owner that I would modestly commended its structure, and the word ... maintained. I chose this B & B on the advice of Marco, a friend of mine who lives in Rome, in the historic center of Rome, but the main reason has been its strategic position in the historical center of the town, a few minutes from the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. This is perfect for those who wish to visit the central areas of the city. The rooms, are nice and spacious, but my second room was equipped with a very new bathroom. I had a new room because I had a little problem with the bathroom, and the owner very kindly worked hard to find me a new location, in a very fast time ( thank you ). Breakfast is included in the price, and it's quite rich. So I want to recommend this B & B to all those who don't intend to spend a lot of euro, and want clean place, quiet and in a real strategic location. Bye Bye my beautiful ROMA, I miss you !

We had three rooms for two nights, it was a very clean B&B which included breakfast every morning. Due to our plane departure we had to leave the hotel around 4:30am the morning of our checkout- The hotel manager brought us our breakfast around 3:45 that morning so we could eat before we left, I thought that was exceptional service! The internet was off and on through out our stay, but we where in Rome so we didn't hang around the hotel a lot. The only thing I could say negative is the language barrier. They didn't speak English that well, and we had a someone who spoke Italian in our group, but they didn't speak Italian at all, this I find troubling since they are running a business in Rome.
"Bad experience in an otherwise good B&B"

We stayed in 2 rooms of this B&B just this month. We all loved the location and will most likely stay in the same area next time we visit rome. The colosseum and Roman Forum were just 10 mins away via Labicana. There was a pizzeria just next door and other restaurants around the area. The B&B itself is looks new and there was free wifi and even a desktop computer with free internet access. The rooms were spacious. The owner was not around but his employee, Alom was always there to help us out. The only issue our family had was when the owner wanted us to transfer to another B&B for our last night. The owner reasoned that there is a big problem with our rooms and he was willing to give us a steep discount and free transfers for our trouble. We later found out the real reason: there was another bigger group and the owner most likely double booked the rooms. I had a heated argument with the owner since we refused to transfer. The owner was really rude and even had the confidence to tell me that he had the right to transfer us! I would have given this hotel a much better rating if only the owner respected the fact that we already fully paid the rooms and had every right to refuse the transfer.
"Great location, out of tourist crush."

This tiny hotel isn't really a hotel, so much as a B&B without the owner hanging around. We had one of 3 rooms built into a charming apartment building. We did have difficulty finding the place as there is NO signage, only a tiny name on one of the 40 doorbell buttons. Even inside the first door, we couldn't figure out which way to go. (Stairs on the left, 3rd floor for the reception.) Unfortunately, in renovating into hotel rooms, all the charm of the period building has been wiped out of the rooms. The bathroom was modern and clean and the family room was small but we managed to keep from tripping over each other. Simple continental breakfast was delivered to the room each morning. Several reasonably priced restaurants within a few blocks. The hop on/off bus tour has a stop just across the street. 10 minute walk to the Colosseum.
