Loved the location of this hotel ! It's right on Lake Brienz. Imagine every morning you have a nice breakfast with the wonderful view of the lake and mountain in the background! The room is simple but functional. Breakfast is included with the price of the room.

This hotel was a great find... spectacular setting on the shore of Lake Brienz, surrounded by mountains, overlooking the town Bönigen. We took a "Komfort" room, with lake view and balcony. The room was on the small side - the addition of a private bathroom clearly had reduced the original room size - but it was comfortable and well appointed. Everything […] worked - free internet - satellite TV. Parking is limited, so make sure you arrive early afternoon! Lakeside dining was great.. the food was great, albeit the menu somewhat limited. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing.. standard buffet fare that you could find at any Holiday Inn worldwide. Food aside, it was a little on the pricey side, but it is, of course, Switzerland... and the location is spectacular and the staff super-friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a serenely peaceful location, where the only disturbance was a group of noisy ducks on the lake! Read more

Hotel is located at Ringgenberg which is 5KM far from Interlaken (Previous stop from Interlaken OST if coming from Lucerne). I've booked 2 double bedroom (both see view) one for me and my wife and another for my parents and it was the best hotel I ever had because of nice, beautiful and calm place. I stayed for a night only and leave hotel early morning […] 5:30 to get goodmorning train from interlaken for jungfraujoch. Hotel provided me breakfast on previous night with cattle of hot water for coffee and tea. They also provided me free pass for morning bus which took 10 mins to reach interlaken ost. Bus stop was only 5 mins walk. They also helped me to get my GBP exchange with CHF. I'll recommend this hotel for all my family and friends. Read more

We stayed in an un-renovated room with a shared bathroom for one night, which was bearable, but about all you would want. The decor in the room was extremely tired, with very worn furnishings and the shared shower was very ordinary. For the price, ithe room was definitely not value for money. However, the service from all staff was very friendly, there […] was free wifi in the room and breakfast was adequate. The location is nice, right on the lake, but it is a bit out of the way. The renovated rooms on the lakeside may provide better value for money. Overall, this place has the feeling of a very old-school European family-run hotel. If the un-renovated rooms weren't so expensive, or were brought up to scratch to match the rest of the hotel, we would consider returning. Read more

This hotel is a MUST SEE. I've worked in the travel industry for eight years, been to over 40 countries and rarely does a hotel delight as much as this one. Firstly, location. Within easy access of Interlaken (a few minutes by train, or there is a boat which stops right in front of the hotel), it is situated on Lake Brienz with a 180degree view of […] the mountains from most bedrooms. The scenery is magnificent and it is completely quiet apart from the quaint bell chimes from neighbouring villages. If you have a balcony, it gets better - table, chairs and sun loungers overlooking the lake. There is a private beach surrounded by rose beds, the rooms are spotless and breakfast buffet is copious. The evening menu caters for all diets, nice wine list, and snacks available throughout the day. The owners are charming, helpful and multilingual. This is a perfect base from which to discover the Jungfrau region without the noise of Interlaken and also an ideal spot for anyone convalescing or wanting a peaceful spot to recharge batteries. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen direkt am Brienzer See mit wundervollem Blick auf die Alpen und Anlegestelle für Passageierschiffe gleich nebenan. Das Zimmer (einfaches DZ) war klein mit älterer Ausstattung, aber für den Preis OK.

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön und hat viel Potential. Leider nehmen die Besitzer offensichtlich maximalen Gewinn ohne Investitionen mit. Das gebuchte Zimmer mit Bergblick ist extrem klein und dunkel und mit 30 Jahren alten Möbeln lieblos vollgestellt, Styroporplatten als Decken. Bad nennt sich eine Mininasszelle mit Dusche Toilette und Waschbecken auf […] 2 qm - da verzichtet man lieber aufs Duschen, als es dort zu tun. Frühstück ist ok, aber rechtfertigt den Zimmerpreis in keinster Weise. Fazit: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis extrem schlecht und auf keinen Fall empfehlenswert! Read more

We wanted to stay somewhere near Interlaken and Grindelwald, and found this hotel with an incredibly beautiful location by Lake Brienz. Took less than 10 minutes by car to Interlaken and 20 minutes to Grindelwald. We were very pleased with this peaceful, beautiful location by the lake. The little garden outside the hotel is so pretty and there are stairs […] leading to the clear waters of the lake so you can take a swim just 20 metres from the hotel.
