Stay here if you have a car and GPS. Worth it for the beautiful beach walks. Our room balcony provided a great beachside view. Big drawback- you can smell the sewage pipe from the toilet. A big turnoff. Housekeeping staff kindly greeted us each morning. Better deal if you buy breakfast in advance with your hotel stay. If you love umlimited real coffee and espresso as we do, the restaurant offers it as part of your breakfast deal. Restaurant and snack bar staff are very polite and promptly serve you. Very nice residential area.

Situated in Malaga, Parador Malaga Gibralfaro is close to Gibralfaro Castle, Alcazaba, and Malaga Amphitheatre. Also nearby are Picasso's Birthplace and Malaga Cathedral.

I loved the quaint hotel. It is located high up near the castle. The views from our balconies were amazing. The hotel also has a roof top pool and patio... area that is really wonderful. The service was excellent, the included breakfast was terrific, even included Cava. Dinner was OK, but once we got in from our busy day, we did not want to venture out again. I definitely would stay here again. Perfect if u want to be away from the city center. The hop on hop off bus is close by, it stops at the castle, which is a 5 minute walk away. The view from the Parador is unbeatable, but the hotel is simply not worth it. We were assigned a smoking room (non-smoking rooms are hard to come by), and the room's air conditioning did not work. It was hot, uncomfortable and difficult to breathe. The walk down to downtown Malaga is long and steep and only for those in excellent condition. excellent hotel and good value but if over 40 you must have a car as the hotel with its location high above malaga with a superb view is a tough hill walk down to the town

The hotel was very good as were the staff. Our room was clean and well maintained however the lighting could be improved and made brighter. The walk down into the city was a bit on the steep side but we knew that before we booked. However, he path is not lit at night so we took a taxi back. Rolige omgivelser med flott utsikt. Rommet var veldig fint og rent med deilig balkong. Litt tungvint å gå til byen med bratt bakke fra hotellet selv om gangavstanden var ca 15 min. Utsikten fra restauranten var fantastisk men maten kun middels god.
