Great location for visiting the numerous sites and attractions of Liverpool / Merseyside whilst being on the outskirts of the city itself. Fabulous building which is immaculately maintained being the old LiverpoolAirport. Staff very pleasant. Only complaint is that you have to pay for Internet service so we found ourselves walking over to Macdonalds on the retail park opposite where it is FREE! If you plan to spend most of your trip in Livedpool City Centre be aware that you would need some transport. Luckily taxis and public transport are readily available.

We were very pleased with the central location of the hotel. There was wonderful shopping and many restaurants right outside our door. The view from our 7th floor apartment was lovely (gigantic floor to ceiling windows). My only complaint would be the size of the bedrooms - it was difficult to find a place for our suitcases in the bedrooms. Everything else was great - we would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stone Villa in Chester The manager made us feel very welcome and gave us the information we needed to get around Chester. The breakfast provided was a Great way to start the day. It was our first B&B and my wife and I and our teenage girls enjoyed it there.

We loved the location of Base To Stay. A short walk to all of the spots in city center without the noise. The ambiance is cool and low key. The rooms are the perfect size, clean, and everything is functional. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and felt very at home here. The modern decor is offset nicely with the old world charm of the building .

The room was small but OK. Floorboards squeaked, which was rather annoying. Great location- near station and an easy walk to center of town. Good value.

Arrived late, left early so unable to take advantage of the excellent-looking spa facilities. There some beautiful features in the old bit of the hotel. Very comfortable room newly decorated room. Able to control radiator temperature. Had difficulty opening the rather old window and for a 4 star hotel, the tea and coffee facilities/supplies were a bit […] limited - but you can ask for fresh milk and I'm sure they would have accommodated special requests. Also limited information in the room about hotel facilities especially about eating there. We went out in the end (Basset Hound Tihngwall - lovely pub grub and didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food). Staff helpful and friendly. If you're in the newer bit and are offered help with your luggage , take it - it's a bit of a trek. Overall though this is a lovely peaceful hotel in a very nice rural/urban setting, easy to find and well connected. Read more
"Lovely 4 star hotel with 2 star breakfast"
The hotel itself is lovely and deserves its 4 stars but the breakfast needs sorting out. Firstly, it wasn't included in the price we paid on-line and for £13.50 a head you would expect a better service and better food. You get poured a cup of tea and then have to try and grab a waitress if you want more. They have one of those conveyor toasters that […] doesn't toast the bread first time round then burns it if you put it in again. There was no butter so again you had to try and grab a waitress. The buffet style service means you get rubber eggs, overcooked beans and bacon and soggy mushrooms. Thats if there is any on the counter! I only comment on this as we own a guest house and serve fresh food as ordered and get told that we should do more by the inspectors. Overall a lovely place but don't pay £13.50 for breakfast if its not included in your room price. Read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at this hotel - all the staff I spoke to were extremely polit and helpful - room service and food was great - didn't use the spa etc this time but will definitely go back again
