Staff vey friendly & helpful, fantastic breakfast fare. Close to public transport & restaurants. One small turnoff was a problem getting Wi-Fi in the room. I could be using this hotel again in the future.thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hyvä majapaikka. Huoneen sisustus vaan melko askettinen. Huoneen hintaan kuuluvalla aamiaisella sai vatsan täyteen.

"Good oldfashioned hotel in quiet street"
Graf Stadion is 5 minutes' walk from tram, U-bahn, and the Rathaus. It would take about 20 minutes to walk to Hofburg. There are restaurants nearby. Breakfast is fine with good bread, brown and white. Everything is clean. I enjoyed my stay there very much.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Недорогой отель в самом центре Вены"
Наилучшее расположение, позволяющее за 2 минуты добраться до любого транспорта, доброжелательный персонал, чисто и тихо, съедобные завтраки, в целом вполне достойный вариант за такую стоимость.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old hotel with charme, but small rooms"
11/18/14 TudelaMartins Lisbon, Portugal
We stayed for the 3 nights in a short stay in Vienna. The hotel is rather old and this is reflected in the facilities (the elevator has more than 100 years, but we can go seated, wich is very cool). The location is good as it is close to the Rathaus and the Museum Quarter The hotel staff was very helpful and the breakfast is good, so overall it has very good price for the services provided. The only point we did not like at all: the rooms are very small.

I like this hotel. It is not brand new but it has something special. It is lovely for couples and it has everything you need on one place. I was here with my girlfriend and we stayed only two nights but it hit the spot
"Very good hotel in city center"
01/19/14 Sovica Belgrade, Serbia
This hotel is perfectly positioned, on a quiet street, not far from the city center and public transportation. Everything was according to a 3 star value. Breakfast was good, staff was nice. It has a garage for your car with good prices. But, be careful, garage is very small with 4 lots, it is very hard to fit a car on the 4th parking space, especially if you have a SUV and the garage is somewhat populated, you may have trouble parking. . We had a superior room which was huge and cozy. It offered a water kettle, TV, sofa corner, big windows and street view. Bathroom was fine although shower curtain was a bit dirty, but that is generally the problem with shower curtains: if you want them to look presentable, you should change them more often. I also didn't like that the maid touched and repositioned my personal (hygiene) towel. Overall, It is a great hotel for its price, location and stars.

Stayed there for almost a week over the new year's and loved it. The rooms are actually as in the pictures here and on booking.com; the elevator is a marvellous piece of history; the location is perfect - you're very close to the center and the metro stations where you'll be transferring the most; but you're not in the middle of the tourist crowd (or any crowd at all for that matter - Vienna seemed very, very quiet to me). My room was clean every day, the towels, soap etc. were kept up as they should be; the shower, lights were working fine - so I had none of those usual hotel problems. Breakfasts are great - you can try different things every day for several days. The coffeemaker knows those Viennese types of coffee that you will probably have already read about on wikipedia (melange, grosser brauner etc) - you actually get to know what they are after several days of drinking them at breakfast. Read carefully the "important information" though: reception is only open 6.30am-10.30pm. If you expect to come back late in the evening, just bring the key with you - I never once left my key at reception, and they seemed to be okay with it. The key to the room also opens the entrance door to the hotel. I honestly don't know how you check in if you arrive late at night - better check with reception first (they seem to reply quite fast to emails). Speaking of the staff, all of them (throughout the week I interacted with five or six people at the reception) are very helpful, friendly and open; and all of them speak good English, so it's no problem if you don't speak German - I don't understand more than two words in German and I had no problem in Vienna thanks to the guys and gals at the hotel's reception (they even helped me with an amazon.de delivery - the emails were in German only, so I asked the guy at reception to tell me if everything was ok). So, overall it was a perfect hotel experience for me - definitely saving as the hotel to stay at for later visits to Vienna. Definitely recommend. P.S.: and I didn't find any problems with the wi-fi - yes, you have to go through the tedious login/password process. But the speed is good. And I used wi-fi a lot (iPhone only; no laptops etc., so no torrent-scale needs for speed..).

The hotel is ideally located near the Rathaus and close to a metro station (perfect for airport transfer and the mandatory Schonbrun trip). It is within walking distance from Museum Quartier and other points of interest. The breakfast was excellent, served by two very merry and helpful ladies. The room was a bit austere and cold, but clean.

Stayed in May 2013. Good location, well priced, clean room, good breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Would recommend and stay again. Very close to metro, trams, good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was more than adequate.
"No AC and poor internet"
This hotel has a great location: 10 min by foot to parliament, 15 to the museums, etc. However, there a are two things you should bear in mind. 1) this is an eco-friendly hotel and there is no AC, and 2) internet connection is very poor. Besides this, the hotel is a small and very simple hotel that worked fine for us. Breakfast was good.
"Comfort & convenience"

We decided to visit Wien in advent: greatest, busiest and therefore most expensive time of the year in this city. Having that in mind, Graf Stadion could be considered a budget accommodation and a very good value. Needless to say, location couldn't be better: just behind Rathaus, less than 100 meters from U-bahn station, 10 min walk to Museumsquartier, 15 min to Stephansplatz. It is situated in a small quiet alley and the neighborhood seemed very friendly and safe. We booked Superior room and it was exactly like in the pictures: huge, comfortable and very clean (as well as the bathroom). It was a shame only to sleep there, but we were in Wien just for a couple of days, therefore walking around the city from early morning until late in the evening. Breakfast was excellent, but without cooked food if that is what someone would require. Ambience in the entire hotel is contagiously charming. Famous old elevator is mentioned in almost every review. The building has architectural style of Biedermeier era, it is even more fun if you know something about it before arrival. Staff at the reception were a bit slow-motioned, but polite and friendly and that is most important. In conclusion, we really enjoyed this hotel in every aspect. Accommodation in Wien (especially in high season) is very expensive. Cheaper options could be found but Graf Stadion, considering location and it's comfort, has a very good value for money.

I traveled last year in September. I choose this hotel because the great location and walking distance to the old town and public transportation. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was included to the hotel rates ( unusually for downtown Vienna). The rooms were very small but this is historic building and we expected it. the price was very low to compare other hotels in this area. Mariola Vacation and Spa Travel
"Price/location ratio very good"
I stayed in this hotel for one night only. It is situated just behind Rathaus (city hall) so city center is in walking distance. The price is in the lower range for this area due to building being quite old, rooms small. The receptionist was very friendly. My room was a bit cold through the night, my colleague in another room had to open the window because it was too hot. Bathroom was very small but enough big for my needs. Wifi works fine in the room, you get free username and pass to access it. Breakfast is as you would expect for this price range. Nothing special, but acceptable. The garage has capacity for 4 cars only and if you are the fourth one (we were), you might have some difficulties to park in there. It costs 18 EUR/day (compared to city center, where we paid 40 EUR in the garage from 9.00 till 19.00).
