Ibis Amman - Amman

Ibis is a good value. Nothing is fantastic--not the neighborhood of the hotel, not the size or comfort of the rooms, not the facilities in the hotel--but everything is okay, even good at times, and at a more reasonable cost than at other hotels in Amman.

Well, it is over priced The only thing that I find was missing from this hotel is the WI-FI in the room was very bad, you have to come to the lobby to get good WI-FI reception, the second thing is no continental breakfast for the amount of money the hotel charge per night.

The hotel is very nice and very clean, it is in very good location. The bathroom in the room are very small, i wish the hotel had a small gym for working out, but over all i was very pleased with my stay at the hotel and i will stay there again.

Very nice, new, hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good water pressure. There aren't real toiletries though, there is a pump on the wall for "lotion soap" and in the shower for "shampoo/conditioner/body soap" (all in one). The hotel itself we very poorly located. Unless you are there on business then I don't see a point in staying there. The staff was friendly but not helpful at all. They had no tours or travel guides available at all. They had a small map of Amman but that was about it. The lobby seemed to have a very cold atmosphere. Would take a while just to find the gentlemen that worked there then would take about half an hr at best just to get the coffee. Being tourists me just wanted to get it and go. Also the room was very small. Their idea of a queen bed is two very small twin beds pushed together. Keep that in mind when you book two queens. You get two twins. They have the 15 mins satisfaction guarantee, but I wasn't satisfied. I hate the smell of smoke and my bathroom smelled of it until check out the next day. I called them to complain about this and the lady told me she would call me back. She never did. Very satisfied with the hotel value. Reviews on Hotels.com captured the hotel very well. The hotel doesn't have a concierge for arranging tours, etc. However, Nasser at the front desk went out of his way to assist by getting bus tickets to Petra for us after his shift ended. Customer service above and beyond the call of duty!

Best I can say is below average. Aircon on and off, wi-fi on and off so what use is that? Small rooms banging doors and sleazy blokes (smoking) hanging out in the lobby. The front desk staff were very rude even after us having to wait for 40 mins to check in despite only have 2 people in front of us and 2 people working on the front desk. Internet does not work at this hotel. Restaurant staff were pleasant.

it was a nice room opening on the main road .. The hotel in general was nice well equipped and pleasant .. The two bed room had a nice size and was comfortable. The hotel is just across one of the city's main super markets, which opens until late, so one can easily buy anything without having to worry about room service..

When I got to the room, my key did not work so I went back to the desk and the clerk put it back in the machine, but with no apology. I had a meal and drink in the outdoor bar, but when I went to pay, they told me I had no credit facilities and had to […] pay cash. I paid and went back to reception. The same clerk was there and after looking at his computer, said 'It's O.K. now", but again, no apology. My room key failed again the next day - same clerk - same reaction - no apology! I went to the bar for a beer as there was a board up saying 'Two drinks for one' but had to wait ten minutes for a barman. When I ordered a Corona I was told it was 7 Dinars. I said, what about the "two for one offer?" "Ah yes, sorry" said the barman and gave me a second beer. At least I got an apology. However, it was later apparent that the same barman was getting a dressing down, in front of the few patrons in the bar, by a manager. They really need to get their act together if they want clients to return to this hotel. They also do not offer continental breakfast. You have to pay 10 Dinars no matter how little you eat and the buffet selection was not brilliant. The only real plus is that there is a shopping mall with a supermarket and food court right oppsite! Stayed here several times, good service and friendly staff . Near to a bedwin style restraunts and they Are both great for local food and fresh breads. Small shopping mall makes it convenient to get basics if needed includes a super Market and fast food retraunts. Very good value all round.

This hotel is just newly open and was fairly clean and comfortable, while the prices are reasonable. Please be mindful that there is no bathing kits (shampoo, tooth brush etc) in your room so you have to bring them along with you, although there was a dryer.
