Monterey Inn & Marina - Stuart

I ran off and forgot my electric shaver guard they called me to let me I had left it in the room. I found it to be a good clean hotel with a great staff. I recommend.

The hotel was OK nothing to brag about. Breakfast was juice&coffee, some prepackaged danish and snacks. Cereal and some fruit & bagels. Found a roach in the room in the morning. At least it was dead. Small bathroom. If I paid $50 I would of expected this but no almost $80. Staff was nice. Will not stay their again.

I basically used the room for an overnight while travelling, but was I surprised after seeing the room in person (not just relying on pictures/comments). Conveniently located, very comfortable bed, great décor ... a must see for yourself.

I prefer to stay at a "Mom and Pop" hotel with charactor rather than an impersonal "Chain" hotel. The river view deck and dock very nice. Room and property very clean and appeared well maintained. Staff was most helpful. Had just torn meniscus in knee, desk clerk searched for another room, on the first level..unbelievable service. Morning room staff was helpful, polite and even got my car out of tight parking spot!I highly recommend this Inn for anyone in the area.

Staff was very polite. Only downside was that it's located next to a very busy bridge across the intercostal waterway and there is a lot of traffic noise. Room was very neat and clean.

I was in Stuart, Fl to do team training with my new service dog. I chose Monterey Inn because of how affordable it was and I was very pleased by our experience. Once I told them I had a service dog with me, they did not try to charge a pet fee and were very nice about it. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. Booked one of the premium rooms and the owners did a nice job with finishing it out. But the staff and especially housekeeping lets them down from there. The front desk staff leaves at 9pm each night so you are on your own ... until it is check out day and they are bugging you from 9am on. So forget about some extra Z's because housekeeping is also […] hammering on your door every half hour also - regardless of do not disturb signs. Guess they are on a 'If all the rooms are cleaned then you can go home deal'. Now housekeeping! If it is cold and blankets are put on your beds ... throw them on the floor because they are not cleaned and are dusty. Or maybe it is just a dust dirty room? Sleep in your warm clothes - I was sick for 2 days. Checked into another place in Jensen Beach after 3 days there and stayed in my room for a full day to get over this nightmare stay! Our stay was wonderful, starting with the staff, room, and surroundings. Will definitely stay here again when we are in town for baseball spring training. It is one of the best kept secrets of Stuart right on the marina.

Stayed here based on the reviews, and it was a nice alternative to the Interstate chain hotels. It's a throwback to the 1950's/60s's motel, but clean and in good shape. Came up to Stuart for the Port Salerno Seafood Fest, and stayed at the Monterey Inn. The outside appearance looks somewhat aged, but the building, rooms and property are all well maintained. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. We would stay there again if we were to venture up to Stuart for a little getaway.

The only problem in the room were sugar ants found around the sink and fridge area, but even though we were visiting from Ohio, my husband & I lived in S.Florida for nearly 20 years and ants & insects come with living in Florida, so they didn't bother […] us, besides they didn't each much! I love this place. Tile floors are great. There is a leash free dog park just blocks away, and after your dog plays in the lake and sand, you don't have to worry about getting it in the carpet. VERY CLEAN.

This hotel is small, but clean and a great place to stay if you are in the Stuart, Florida area to fish or boat. The attached marina is reasonable for the price and appears well maintained. Location was key, beautiful to be on the water and watch the boats. The room was clean but small ( no desk for using our computer). We did not have a coffeemaker but later we were told that we need to ask for one, then they would have provided it.

My husband and I wanted a short getaway to the East coast of Florida and we wanted to take our precious pet with us. The hotel's location was very convenient to most things. The outside appearance was neat and pleasing. It sits on the water where several boats are docked. The The rooms were clean and roomy offering microwave, refrigerator, and coffee […] maker. There is an outside desk overlooking the water and a grill for used by the patrons staying there. The hotel's staff was friendly and very accommodating for whatever we requested. The continental breakfast consisted of bagels, danish, granola bars, cereal, apples, oranges, bananas, orange juice, milk and coffee.
