I lived at the Somerset for 2+ years. It was a very comfortable and friendly place to stay. The staff are very helpful and they have great amenities. The facilities are some of the best in Juffair. There are many long term rental options in Nahrain but Somerset is the whole package from world class service to breakfast and a good gym. I'd stay there anytime I was in Bahrain.

It is some really nice apartments they have here. It is really big with lot of space. The kitchen is nice. There was two bathrooms which may be a little too much when you are just on person. I had a good view. Some negative things. The internet is not very fast. There is not a lot of places to get something to eat you will have to take a taxi or car or order something to eat. The pool is mostly in the shade so here in october it was really cold.
"Great Place to Stay in Bahrain"
Am staying here for the past 2.5 yrs . The apartment is very clean , spacious , well equipped . Wi-Fi is complimentary , The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous . The location is also an added bonus, as the surrounding's are quite and peaceful .
"Friendly staff makes a difference"

We stayed about five weeks in a two-bedroom flat, our second stay here. The cheerfulness and friendliness of the staff is why we came back. This is one of the few places in Bahrain where you're greeted with a sincere smile. The garden is a relief of green and flowers and the pool is very nice. Breakfast is a great addition and the gym is well equipped. But it's the people -- the gardener, maintenance staff, front desk, waiters, chef -- who really make this place. They LOVE children. The only negative is internet connectivity - it's slow and occasionally down - but that's Bahrain. We found internet generally unreliable island-wide, so I can't blame Somerset.

Very nice hotel; tidy and roomy apartment with all the necessary; wifi, hifi, tv ecc...full equipped kitchen, a small but nice swimming pool and gym. Good breakfast. Located in a very quiet area, not noisy at all and very close to several restaurants and bars

My husband and I enjoyed our time staying here at the Somerset. We spent a little over a month here and loved it. Our room was cleaned every day, the free breakfast was fresh, hot, with a good selection to choose from, and most importantly delicious. If they didn't have something I liked, I asked and they made it for me with no problems. The gym was clean and quiet. The staff friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely put this on a list if you ever visit Bahrain.
"Modern and smart"

We stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment for one night only, instead of a hotel - it's the best option with small children when on the odd escape from Saudi. This and the nearby Serene apartments (cheaper) is in a still half-built part of Juffair so dust and building noise are an inevitable feature outside. It's also a bit tricky to find your way to it even once you have spotted it among the cranes and scaffolding, because the roads aren't quite complete and one knows not to expect any signs. But once inside it is clean, modern, the staff are friendly and helpful and the apartment we had was enormous and well appointed. Like many of the serviced apartments in the region the kitchen is only basically equipped, although this Somerset is better equipped than many we have stayed at. If cooking a square meal is important to you make sure you express your needs before booking - it isn't for many as you can eat out quite cheaply nearby, and they provide a reasonable breakfast anyway. There is a small-ish outside pool (unheated - so avoid from November to March) and an inside pool which irritatingly was closed for maintenance. Again, check first if inside pool access is what you are looking for. The Bahrain Museum and Grand Mosque are both close by, there is a small Al Jazira supermarket a few minutes' drive away and for those in need of the type of liquid refreshment that Saudi cannot provide, the bottle shop under the Gulf Hotel is a few minutes away also. There is plenty of space to park around and under the apartment tower. All in, a good place to stay and not bad value - we paid about $300 for the night for a 3-bedroom apartment.

I stayed at this hotel with my family during my buisness trip to Bahrain, we really felt like we are at home!. the room was good and with attached toilette and walk-in cabinet in between. the living room was really really huge with a balcony overlooking the Muharraq bridge. the kitchen was fully equiped with all needed cooking appliances. The parking were avilible IN the hotel premises not like the adjacent hotels were the guestes were parking on the street. in addtion all the parkings were covered. the inetrnet service was free of charge and with reasonable speed. the TV channels have wide variety of choices inluding SHOWTIME. The only disadvantage is the unpaved way to reach to this hotel. other than this everything was perfect !
"A pleasant surprise"

Stayed at the Somerset Residence for about a week with family. We chose this Residential apartment because it is part of an international chain. This part of Juffair is full of apartment hotels. The Somerset is a bit of a way in with some of the roads still not tarmac’d What set this one apart is that it has its own entrance drive way & parking outside & underground. It gives it a nice cozy hotel feel. Other apartment hotels have car parking outside and look a bit austere. The A shape building also makes it look attractive. The apartment was well appointed and clean. We requested a sea view & were offered a sea view apartment for an extra 3BD. It made all the difference. As per an earlier comment, the carpets have been recently renewed. They are Berber type and confined to the bedrooms only. The common areas have wooden floors and bathrooms are tiled. All very clean. Breakfast was included in the price and is in a nice seating area overlooking a patio garden. The main swimming pool area is also pleasant because of the approach either from the patio area or a small garden. Again it is on the ground floor as opposed to a roof top garden as in some of the others. With the starter pack they seem to have thought of everything including washing powder for the washing machine. As we were on holiday we were in and out during the day & evening and fortunately did not experience any construction noise. The staff were extremely polite, professional and friendly.
"Lovely Apts - Great Staff"

Stayed just for a weekend with friends to celebrate a birthday weekend. Located a bit off the main drag but still easily accessible (albeit past a few building sites!) with nice sea views (unless your facing the new building being built next door!). Apartments fully furnished with all mod cons, staff went out of their way to accommodate requests for extra sun beds by pool & then extra bed in one of the apartments. Ample breakfast & free airport pick up all in all added to the great weekend!
