Resort Terra Paraiso - Calangute

AWESOME!! The people there were really cool, the restaurant there was not over priced and pretty reasonable. The food there was really good, well seasoned and very delicious. The rooms were cool. They were upscale rooms, but they had a beach feel to them, so you felt that you were at the beach. The only problem that my friends and I had was that sometimes […] there wasn't hot water, but I had it for the majority of the day. The place was clean, the help there was great. The pool was nice, they also have a bar at the edge of the pool. If you go there, and its in season, get the pineapple juice and add whatever liquor you want to it. The juice was freshly cut and squeezed and was frothy. Other than food, we did laundry over there too, they did a decent job, and the price was pretty good. Overall, I really recommend going there! It was a lovely small hotel, very cosy. Only 2 minute walk to the beach but a long walk to the main part of town. Located in arrow winding street with lots of character. You do need to be aware though, that everything in Goa is much more expensive than elsewhere in India, so you do get less for your dollar. I enjoyed my stay here very much

very thoughtfully laid out hotel. very very sumptuous food & VFM .clean pool .around 100-200 mtrs from the beach.the only issue was that hotel should have strict policy of not allowing guests to dry their laundry in front of their room since its mars the aesthetics of the property.must go !

The rooms are in a poor state of repair. I had a broken and rusty fold up bed on my door step for my entire stay. The service is too laid back to be efficient and the staff are clearly in need of direction. The pool area is ok, but is spoilt by loud booming music coming from the bar / restaurant area at the side of the pool. For peace and quiet you […] really need to go to the beach which is only a two minute walk away. (The only advantage of staying here). Is marketed as 3.5 stars, it's definitely not at that level. We were 2 families and stayed in Oct. if you are looking for a place away from the market and close to beach then this is the right place. Flip side is that you would require conveyance every time you want to go out... Scooters and taxi are easily available. Breakfast spread is way below standard. Nice decent pool and good courteous staff...sincere […] too. We lost our camera, a staff found it and returned it .... That's commendable. The rooms are spacious, the jacuzzi was working perfectly, and the pool is well-maintained. What else does one really want on a lavish vacation...The staff was very cordial and the spa services are an icing on the cake. All in all, a pleasant experience!

If you go to this place with what you see in the photographs you will be disappointed. There are better place to stay for the price this hotel charge us. The breakfast is so disappointing and reception sucks.

The stay was good. The staff could be more welcoming. An ounce of smile would have made me feel very welcomed especially the reception when I checked in. Whilst the rooms were above average the free morning buffet was quite disappointing. The pics put on the web issues not speak the whole story. I'd strongly recommend visiting other hotels around calangute […] for better deals. I ended up staying at ocean palms resort. Worked out at 2500 and has the best room n breakfast I could have asked for. Nevertheless with the above comments, if you come from a small town like chennai you might think terra Paraiso is a bliss. The bath tub was taken out and the shower which was over the bath was just surrounded by a certain so the water went all over the bathroom. Poor service - certainly not service with a smile. Lots of people hanging around reception waiting to check into their rooms which were not ready.

When we arrived we didn't really have a good look around and unpacked everything immediately. When we did take a good look we found that we were the only room which did not have a balcony large enough to sit on, our balcony was about 4ft long and not wide enough to sit and stretch your legs, very cramped. When the manager was told about this he offered […] to move us, however we chose not to as we had unpacked eveything and the hassle of repacking won over getting a room with a balcony. Not taking the replacement room turned out to be a big mistake, at night the cockroaches appeared, the first couple of nights we killed about 6 or 7 each night. We told the Manager who then instigated some cleaning process, but not very much and not very effective. The room was infested by cockroaches, we never saw any large ones only small young ones (lots) which indicated to me that it was an infestation rather than just on or two stray ones. On the 6th night my wife was woken at around 2am with a cockroach crawling under her night dress down her arm, not very nice. The best part of the stay was the great restaurant and bar staff, they were friendly, helpfull and good fun. The food and drink was also very good with nothing too much trouble. I have said that I would recommend this hotel only on the belief that the cockroach problem will be cleared eventually and that no one else we spoke to had a problem. We were in Block I room 119. Booked super deluxe room pool facing . Road to hotel is narrow but when you reach there it is very peaceful and nice.The resort is very .well maintained with clean swimming pool and clean rooms. The bathrooms were clean and the jacuzzi was working . Room cleaning is done daily and nicely. The towels and the bed linen were clean . The buffet breakfast […] was good. Vi bodde i två superdeluxerum. De var rymliga, bra inredda samt låg alldeles vid poolen och restaurangen. Vi trivdes otroligt bra på detta hotell. I kvarteret bredvid finns några restauranger som håller väldigt hög klass. Bara några minuters promenad från stranden. Ett minus var att extrabädden vi beställt hade väldigt dålig kvalitet.
