Skyview Manor Motel - Seaside Heights

Let me just put it like this. The place served its purpose. No, it was not the Holiday Inn, that was 10 miles over the bridge. It was four of us, we didnt hang out in the room, we pretty much used it to shower and sleep. Pool was huge and again, the location was perfect. It wasnt gross, it was just ok!

The staff was very nice but the hotel was dirty, the room was small. The pictures were misleading. When we drove into the parking lot we were frightened by the appearance. It was very overpriced.

The hotel was run down. It was filthy. Light fixtures were light bulbs. Dresser draws were missing. Cigarette holes in sheets. Mold in the bathroom. Dirty towels. Not sure how it passed the board of health.

You get what you pay for....Room was dated and beat! Locks on door, beds and shower curtain rod was broken. This would be fine if I was with a bunch of buddies trying to get in JWoww's pants but not sufficient for a family with young children.

It was filthy. The window was broke so anyone could have broke in. The floor and bathroom were dirty. The airconditioner filter must have never been changed, it was musty and made the room smell like someone was smoking a cigarett in it. The bathtub and shower had mold. The location of the hotel was great for the price as it was just over a block walk to the boardwalk/beach. Otherwise extremely dissatisfied with the service, cleanliness, and maintenance of the hotel. Upon check in the ac in my room was broken, they had it fixed the next day but that first night was not comfortable at all. Myself being a young vacationer […] didn't mind all the rowdy teenage/early twenties guests and their noisy parties as it wasn't log ago I was one of them... But I can see where it could be an issue for families with children. Out room was not cleaned once in our 3 night stay, we had no do not disturb sign or anything like that up so I don't know why, at least some fresh towels would have been nice... I was very disappointed. First, I checked in all was good. Opened the door to the room and at first glance its not very clean... no microwave like they said there would be and when we told them about it they just said huh no microwave? The first night my children and I were woken up by staff sitting right outside our door laughing and carrying on at […] 3am! This went on for awhile. Called the office then it stopped. This hotel was full of early 20's and some looking way younger drinking using drugs and partying all day and night! Mid day I was swimming with my two 4 year olds and was told they had to stay in the two ft section (even though they had life jackets on and I was with them) they were afraid they may drown. moments later a slew of clearly drunk people jumped in the pool drinks in hand and proceded to full blown make out! No concern for the children. Management did nothing at all. Guess they were not concerned they may drown. The walk ways smelled like beer every morning men leaving their hotel doors open while changing. People spitting off the top floor beer being dumped from the upper floors as well. Police there every day and night. Management does nothing at all. Was told these kids come here every year with stacks of cash ready to pay for anything they break and have no regaurd for the rules at all. Guess as long as your willing to pay they don't care. The location, price, and staff were all positives, if you're just looking to party and not really be in the hotel room much, its cheap and friendly but very dirty. I'd highly recommend 'Aztec' or the 'Sand and Surf' for best location and cleanliness combos! One of those will probably be my hotel next year.

This is the worst property that I ever stayed at in my life!!! The Room Had a Stink odor, we had to buy incents to mask the smell!! They had wholes in the sheets and the carpets were nasty as hell! We picked this hotel solely for the location. It is just a block from the boardwalk, and a few blocks from Bamboo and Karma. For a crazy weekend with the guys in Seaside Heights, it wasn't so bad. But honestly... that was the dirtiest motel I've ever stayed in. This hotel isn't built for families, more so for teenagers. Everything in the room looked like it been there since the 90's and it made us feel very uncomfortable. But then again, the hotel location could make up for the discomfort in the room if you planning to stay out the entire day.

The hotel is smack in the middle of Seaside Heights, which I didn't know anything about, but is filled with the trashiest people, 24 hour party people, shirts off, tattoos, smoking, skanky people. This place was very run down and in need of major maintainance. the rooms are ugly and very smelly. the bathroom was very old but at least working. If I could have gotten my money back I would have left before I arrived. It pushed us to spend a lot of time out on the beach and boardwalk

The web site for this hotel offers, free breakfast and internet connection. Neither exist...the rooms need a major upgrade. The bathroom had mold in the shower, there was no telephone or alarm clocks in the room. The carbon monoxide detector had no batteries, and there were no smoke alarms. Not a very pleasant experience at all...

The hotel was in a great location, very near boardwalk and beach. The room was run down and looked cheap. My wife cleaned the bathroom and the room before we settled in. I guess that's the trade off for good location and price.

Check-in time was 2:00. We arrived at 12:30, and they let us in our room early, which was nice so we could unload our stuff and hit the beach. Our room faced the pool, which was a little noisy in the morning but better than looking out at a parking lot. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We got certificates for $3.00 off breakfast […] at Jimmie's, a couple blocks away. We also got free beach passes. I just had to let them hold my driver's license as collateral until we returned the passes. Our room had less than a half roll of toilet paper when we checked in, and we had to ask for more toilet paper and soap the next morning . There was no housekeeping, but that was fine since we were staying for only two nights. Our room was small but clean, and we had a microwave and mini-fridge. The TV also came in clear since it's satellite. It was only a half block to the beach and boardwalk, and everything was within walking distance. The parking lot was tinier than tiny, though, and our car got a door ding in it, so don't bring your good car if you can avoid it! For a 1-1/2 star motel, it wasn't bad at all. Read more
