"Good hotel- just needs attention to details."
This hotel has a LOT of potential - great location, cool décor but they have not paid attention to the finer details. They should make repairs to things like the broken ceiling tiles and broken light fixtures. They should pick up dirty room service dishes promptly. They should make sure things are in working order in the rooms (our companions had a […] broken tv for 2 days). The front desk did not respond promptly to requests as they should and our bill was incorrect the first time around. "Convenient, trendy, hotel to meet your needs"
I was please with the look and feel of the hotel overall. Staff was good. Room service stated it was available until 10 however calls after 9:15 went unanswered or to a busy signal over and over. There were hairs in the bed. There was an earring on the floor which almost pierced my foot. The room temperature would get very hot then the air conditioner would turn on very loudly, waking us up, and then would turn off and then the cycle would continue. The TV worked only sporadically. The location of the hotel was great, the rooms were nice, and the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies were incredibly tasty. When we first arrived at 9pm the valet was great! The front desk was under staffed, the one attendant was on the phone and there was one customer waiting, after a couple of minutes another attendant came to the counter and was very friendly and helpful. We got to our room and it was 58 degrees, we were tired and hungry, so we turn the control to 72 […] and left to get some dinner. About 2 hours later we came back to a still freezing room and had to call the front desk to send someone to fix it. So at 11pm on our anniversary we had a matainance man visiting for 20-30min, but he was able to get the heat working. Unfortunately because of the very drastic change in temperature the whole room was covered in moisture for about 45 minutes, making the floor very slippery. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great!!! The next morning there was no shampoo or conditioner, so again I called the front desk, they sent it right away, but the woman who came to the door was rude. We enjoyed a great day in Nashville, and came back to our room to clean up and change for dinner. The room had been cleaned, but the shampoo, conditioner, etc. had not been replaced so we had to just use what was left for our showers the next day; also the bathroom floor was dirtier than it was when we left, like the mop used on it was dirty and hair had been left behind. "Cross country stay"
We stayed at several hotels across the country the week we styed at hotel indigo. Our favorite above all was the hotel indigo, it was within walking distance to downtown Nashville, the valet service was excellent and the rest of the staff were so nice. We stayed just one night in a large bright corner room, but we were very fortunate that it was "re-launch" night just after new owners renovated this historic hotel. So we enjoyed cocktails & finger foods, plus got to chat with the owners and management. As you would expect the staff were all on "best behaviour".. ALL staff from check in onwards were […] superb! The hotel is in a nice location. Very walkable. The cleanliness was ok. The floors in the room are hardwood and it showed a lot of dusk, which just made the overall feeling not as clean as I would have liked. There was garbage in the hall (beer bottles left on tables) that were not picked up for over 8 hours. Not as convenient as I would have liked. Definitely closer to business and courthouse. Hilton was closer to restaurants and nightlife. Not bad for a different flair. Room had NO immenities. "One thing after another..."
We chose this hotel due to it being a pet-friendly hotel. When we arrived, we had already prepaid and was told that we owed an additional $75 because we brought our pet but we had purchased the four legged package in advance. Why the extra fee? Then when we asked where the designated pet area was... We were told to just use the alley. Very unacceptable! […] The food was not good... How do you mess up a pizza and salad? Lastly, when we got ready to check out, we learned we were not able to leave the hotel due to a 5K occurring around the city and the traffic around the entire hotel was not permitted to leave until the 5K ended. Wanted to love this hotel. Staff was great from the moment we arrived. One note: there are no dressers at all in the rooms. Basically you can use the nightstand drawer but thats about it. Main issue we had was that our tower had two elevators. One had an obviously old sign "out of order". It was obvious it hasn't been working in sometime. This hotel has a lot of potential but was under construction for renovations during our visit. Therefore, check -n desk was a little desk crowded into a small lobby right at the elevator. The dining room/bar/restaraunt was about 60 x 20 feet of space with little 2-person bistro tables. The rooms are very nice, though somewhat small and modern in design. […] The old building has a lot of charm and what we could see of the new construction looks like it will be very lovely when complete. I have mixed thoughts on Hotel Indigo. It was in a great location. It was within walking distance to LP Field and downtown Broadway St which was nice. The room was also great. There was no concierge/staff as you walked in through […] the side doors which were directly in front of our elevator. It was dangerous; someone could have walked off the street and onto the elevator without any staff seeing them. We also tried to order room service one morning after speaking with the front desk/room service staff people four times. After an hour, when we called to check up on our food, our order hadn't been been started so we told them nevermind!
