I can't say enough nice things about the staff here. They even remembered us from our stay 3 months prior, to which we were pleasantly surprised. It's always clean and they are very helpful. Also, we had left something behind on our previous visit and they held onto it for us. They also accommodated me by weighing my suitcase twice -so that I could be ensured not to pay overweight fees - great customer service!

This hotel was truly right behind the Taj, walking distance to the Gateway of India, and walkign distance to many attractions in South Mumbai. As a budget traveler; I think this one was a good deal... good enough that I booked another stay here the next time I go back to Mumbai in a few weeks when I have my gf with me there for the weekend.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport, situated in Andheri East, is one of the busiest airports in India. The international airport is named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhonsle, a 17th-century Maratha Emperor. This area is surrounded by shopping, authentic craft markets, and restaurants. Within a 10km radius from the area are prominent business districts like the Bandra-Kurla complex and the Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ). Other popular local attractions include NSE Exhibition Centre, Borovilli National Park, Film City, and the Bombay Museum. Pre-paid taxis to the city centre are good value, and there are also less expensive (and slower) buses to travel around in.

Not worth the money.
"Hotel Le Grande - in the middle of nowhere"
This hotel is situated off a dirt track, off a main road near the international airport. They do offer a free shuttle to the airport but it is in the middle of nowhere! There are no shops etc close by. It is rather grim around there. This did force us to eat in the hotel restaurant which turned out to be very good and reasonably priced. We booked a […] family room for 4 and were given 3 single beds. If you just want to stay overnight then head off to the airport then this is fine. But, if you want to base yourself here and explore Mumbai you will find it rather difficult as there are no nearby transport links. Read more
