The staff at this hotel are exceptional. The front desk lady was so sweet and was very accommodating when asked a question. She made the visit very homely. The hotel rooms are as expected, simple and clean. The decor is fine. Great little breakfast and free wireless in your bedroom if you could get it. A great holiday hotel.

We ordered a room with a view. We were given the ground floor facing the ocean,with a big bush growing in front of the window blocking out the view. We complained and were given a well placed 3rd floor room with bird poop on the chairs and floor of the patio. Day 2 was the room with no view. Day 3 a 3rd floor room with clean patio. My partner and I stayed in a ocean view room with a spa. Great location and beautiful view of Western Port. The service was absolutely fantastic. Rooms could use an refurbishment but for the price we payed they were good enough. Breakfast was disapointing though.

We needed a place to stay at Prince Phillip Island and booked here the night before arriving based on location and cost. The front of the hotel was impressive with a posh facade on The Esplanade, and ocean views. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The drive around back to access our room revealed the rest of the story. There is really no other […] way to describe what we found other than to say that the back of the hotel looked like a city tenement. Our room was on the 3rd floor, with the only access being a metal and wooden stairway with some of the treads of questionable quality. There was no lift available for accessing upper floors. Several of the rooms on the ground level had sand bags at their doors--it looked like an attempt to stave off flooding. The room was spacious, and of minimal cleanliness. The carpet and furniture was stained. The bed was lumpy and barely comfortable. The vent from the AC was stuck open with no apparent way to close it, and so cold air was flooding into the room all night. The room heater was barely able to compensate. Fortunately we only needed to stay one night. This is either a nice place that is falling into disrepair, or a questionable place trying to make a comeback, as ongoing construction/repair activities were evident in some of the rooms. The location is convenient, being about 20 minutes to the Penguin Parade, The Nobbies, and the Koala Conservation Centre, as well as walking distance to a variety of restaurants in Cowes. Read more

We thought the room and the bathroom were very comfortable. We did have problems with the heater but this was seen to by staff. In the end they gave us a portable heater just when I had worked out how the heater worked!!! Make sure you ring the hotel and request a room away from the night club like we did or you will be awake until the music stops at about 1am. The room was a little tired but it was clean and cheap. The room we had was a Garden suite. The back door frame was comming apart, the door did not have all the secondary lock on it and the main lock with a bit of a push the door would open. The carpets were well worn. The bathroom was from the 70s, the tiles around the wall were cracked and some tiles in the shower were missing, it also could do with a […] paint. The bedroom was ok so was the living area but both were still dated.The front sliding door was better than the front but still needed some work on it. We booked two 1 bed apartments and we were put in a two bed apartment with heaps of stairs and two people had to sleep on a very uncomfortable sofa bed. The manager was very sympathetic but in the end only offered a 10% discount on our next stay. We had paid for the two apartments up front but there was no refund of the difference offered.
