Thermostate didn't work in the room. Couldn't set it to auto so fan constantly ran all night which was very loud. Never found a comfortable setting. Started @ 72 which is what I keep my house at. Turned it down to 65 and it was still hot.

The only think that might be a con is the location next to the interstate so you get road noise. Plus the newer style a/c is not one that you can just use the fan to drown out the traffic noise. So I got a "white noise" machine and all was well. Easy on/off interstate, McDonalds 1/4 mile away. Good value.

This truly is a good value. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The nights were quiet for good sleeping. We liked the room so much we decided to stay and extra day.

Nice hotel and staff. Allowed our two large dogs to stay in the hotel, which is a major plus for our family. Room was very neat and clean, and didn't smell like a smoking room which a lot of "pet hotel rooms" seemed to have been at a previous time.

The room was clean but when I returned home and unpacked my bag, I found a black bug within my clothing. It had the appearance of a bed=bug. I would reccomend that this be checked out and taken care of. My room number was 122.

Good value for the price. One ding - no extra blankets! Not in the room, and not at the front desk. This should be a no-brainer, but they flubbed it. Otherwise, room was clean,neat, and service was acceptable.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a sense of light and spaciousness with the wall behind the beds covered in mirrors with lights reflecting into them. The staff was nice and helpful. They gave us extra sheets so my son could sleep on the built-in windowseat. Breads and cereal breakfast, with coffee/tea/orange drink. They […] had the kind of water-softening system that makes it feel like I can't rinse off the soap. It didn't taste good to me. No bottled water in the vending machine. The hotel is very near an I-80 exit, which is convenient, but I thought the traffic noise was pretty loud. It didn't bother my husband, though. The room was very clean and comfortable.The smell of smoke in the hallways was very unpleasant. We had issues with the cable, was frustrating that it took until the next evening to get it somewhat resolved. The hotel had changed to digital two weeks before our stay. Our room hadn't been updated with the remote, the list of channels and the cable network. […] The evening person helped as much as she could. Friendly staff, allowed us to check in early. While they stepped away to get my reservation from a printer another employee came into the lobby to be sure I was being taken care of. Room was clean with very comfy beds. Easy to get to from interstate.

We have never been disappointed with any of the microtel chain. This was no exception. In fact the room was larger than most. No luxurious frills, but very clean, up to date comfortable, and adequate in every respect. Would highly recommend for the money.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff were really friendly, however being so close to the interstate you could hear the trucks go by. I felt the hotel was very nice, comfortable beds, and easy access off of the highway. Overall the stay was perfect for what we needed it for. - A quick stay before getting back on the road.

Our stay was great. The hotel is easy to get to, right off the highway. We got in around 11 pm, didn't have to wait to check in. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast wasn't fancy, a typical continental breakfast, the coffee was good! I would recommend this hotel.

I have visited the Des Moines area each month for the past 3 months, and each time I have stayed in a Microtel Inns and Suites. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The staff is efficient and courteous. I would definitely stay again at this chain of Hotels and would recommend it to others.

Friendly service, room service forgot to clean room and provide clean towels after 1st nite. However, clean towns were provided when mentioned at desk with explaination that they they have new help. Very limited breakfast. A/C in our room did not work very well. Rooms were clean when we arrived.

This hotel is excellent if all you want is a nice bed and a hot shower. It's starting to show wear on the inside but it still looks better than any of the hotels that we seen in Newton. The staff was very accommodating and very pet friendly to KC and Max our two Schnauzers. Thanks....

The hotel is extremely cheap for the value. The hotel is very clean with large rooms. It is located near the highway basically in the middle of a corn field but the hotel is brand new and the rooms compare to hotels that i have spent over a hundred dollars a night to stay at. Highly recommended!
