Needs maintenance. Tiles missing from bathroom, loose taps, furniture scuffed and broken, leak from breakfast room roof with buckets on the floor. We stayed for two nights as some friends were getting married at The Pavillion. When we arrived there was a warm welcome and the room was great! Breakfast was yummy and the staff were so friendly and ready to help with any request. Only mildly negative comments would be that, in places, the hotel was slightly run down (one light out in the bathroom […] and a few loose tiles etc). We stayed on the top floor, there are a lot of stairs to climb, but there is a handily placed chair half way so you can catch your breath! I spent a great weekend in Brighton, with Friday and Saturday night accomodation at the Neo. It's a small guest house, near the sea front, about 15 minutes walk from the main pier, 5 mins walk from the shops in Western Rd and 20 mins walk from the train station. I had a single room with ensuite bathroom on the first floor - it was small but clean, comfortable, […] quiet and had all the essentials (tea/coffee facilities, TV, shower gel). A hearty breakfast was served until 10:30 in a ground floor dining area - pick your choices from a fairly extensive menu, then the waitresses bring it to your table. Reception desk is open until 10pm, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They notified me a few weeks before my stay that there would be scaffolding around the building, in case I wanted to cancel, but it wasn't a problem for me. In fact, there didn't seem to be any builders working over the weekend, so I wasn't inconvenienced. On the downside, the water was extremely slow to run away from the washbasin in my bathroom, so I reported it to the chap at the desk. He said he'd get someone to sort it, but I said it didn't need to be done immediately - it was just a minor irritation. All in all, a pleasant stay, and I would recommend it to others. Read more

The carpet in the bedroom had marks in it at the foot of the bed and could also have done with a vacuum. Wifi did not work even though we were given both guest and staff networks to use. At first glance the Neo Guesthouse has it all. Excellent customer service, good breakfasts and a comfortable bed. So what's the problem? I have never known such trouble is getting to sleep. If it wasn't the drunken revellers shouting, screaming and swearing at all hours directly under your window, it;s the seagulls screeching at 3am every night. I travelled to Brighton for an interview. Having just arrived back from 5 star luxury in Dubai earlier this month I decided to steer clear of the bog standard travel lodges etc and opted for this. It was a mistake. Reception closed at 9pm, this was not stated on my confirmation email. I arrived just after 9pm and although the young gentleman was very […] charming he was clearly desperate to leave. Now, I will not deny that room was clean, the bed comfy and stylish HOWEVER it was tiny! The bathroom we had at the Marriott in Dubai was considerably larger than my entire room (including en suite) in Brighton. Now you might be reading this and thinking, well I'm sure you paid for that however I paid not even £40 per night more in Dubai for 24hr concierge, an executive suite and the most sublime Marriott beds. Moving on, I was woken many times throughout the night by the noise outside (people walking home and traffic) which was not good for those who have an interview at 9am. Also, breakfast begins at 0800, far too late if you are a business traveller, so off I went to my interview on an empty stomach. I was also unable to get signal on my Orange phone in the box room or anywhere in the building which made it very difficult for me to call a taxi next morning, as there were no staff on hand till 0750, I nearly missed my train. The "minibar" consisted of £1.50 for a bag of walkers crisps that were fast about to go out of date and were completely crushed to no more than crumbs. Read more

Veldig fint og lite koselig sted å bo, god frokost og veldig god beliggenhet i forhold til sjø og shopping. Vårt rom hadde dessverre ikke toalett på rommet, men det gjorde ikke noe da toalettet på gangen var rett i nærheten. Ellers var det ett flott og nyoppussede rom. Kan anbefales.
