"2 star no more"
This hotel did not have air conditioning, nor hot tea/coffee in room. Bed was hard flat as were the pillows. The shower head was weak and dated and the whole bathroom needs updating. The molding around the room entrance door was falling off. Tried the breakfast one morning, bad coffee, milk bad. Overall would not return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was hard to get there from the train station because we didn't know you can take the bus which drops you right at the corner... The hotel is on a cliff so ten view is fantastic! The room was very spacious and clean, the only inconvenience is that at night you can only eat in the hotel restaurant because there is nothing else around, and the food […] was not impressive but extremely pricey! "Great location in Meta just up from the beach"
Problem is no ATM near the hotel. Great tours to Capri and Amalfi provided by the staff. Scuba diving requires going all the way to Positano. Train goes to Sorrento and bus. The maps do not show the bus station or train station (located together) in Meta.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Didn't meet expectations."
Unfortunately we did not feel this hotel lived up to it's expectations. We ended up not staying there as it was not what we wanted when we booked it. It is in Meta, a few km outside Sorrento. It did not appear to us to have many nearby bars or restaurants. The beach below looked fine but very busy. The pool was small but looked fine and there were tables […] outside on a terrace, but in the kind of courtyard of the hotel so no views. Our room was an economy double, but in a 4 star (?) hotel we thought this would be fairly nice. The room was a disappointment. The bed seemed fine but the bathroom was grubby and the shower was the smallest I've ever been in and leaked onto the bathroom floor. The room felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Usually this kind of room wouldn't bother us but as we had splashed out for the last couple of days of our holiday to stay in a 4 star hotel we expected much more. The communal areas looked alright. Staff were a bit defensive at first but then booked us a taxi etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Really enjoyable stay"

I do not usually write reviews but I feel obligated to do it by the amount of fake bad comments: 1: unfriendly and blunt personnel. Not at all true. I happen to have stayed for a whole week and been attended by all of the receptionists, neither one of them made me uncomfortable. Franco is a nice old school receptionist who was always giving me good advice and even cared about my safety/well being (he was doing the night shift often and I happen to be going out when busses weren't running ;)). I think those who didn't like Franco caught him on a very very bad hair day. Pasquale, the young chubby guy, was also ok, maybe just a medller by birth. Teo, my favorite: always well prepared, ready to give info, suggestions, good advice and always smiling. So... No rude men behind the counter. 2. Cleaning couldn't be better, all maids clean thoroughly. I always found my room cleaned, spotless sheets (of course they don't change sheets daily, dahh, every two-three days), towels even if they are not thick dry perfectly good due to the fabric. Svetlana is one of the maids, she's great, never woke me up, just came back in the afternoon. 3. Food. That's tough: dinner is great, you can pick what you want to eat out of three daily options (they do not repeat but pasta is eaten a lot in Italy so you will find each night one different pasta dish). Honestly I am not a fanatic of their breakfast (different tastes) but I never found out of date ham or cheese, that review is simply unfair, there are always croissants, pastery products, milk, coffe, tea, toasted bread, fresh small buns, butter and jam(not limited to one piece) and yes: juice is not natural and coffe is boiled, not espresso. For espresso and fresh orange juice you can order extra at the table or go by the bar in the hotel's lobby. Not responding to criticism but agreeing on a point: the views are stunning from the sea-view rooms ( not my case though, I would have had to pay extra 20 euros and I'm only 26 so I guess you got the point) and from the terrace in front of the hotel, there is also the hotel's rooftop terrace which you can use to watch the lights of the Sorrento peninsula peacefully. Yes! It is family owned and runned but that is one of it's charms, they put more passion in it.
"wonderful hospitality and atmosphere"

I discovered this fine hotel thanks to the recommendation of two friends and must say that my time there was a great pleasure. The room was bright, spotlessly clean and had a spectacular view of the water. The hotel was crowded with large groups, but I always felt that the staff had time to answer my questions and went out of their way to be courteous. One thing I always notice as a single woman traveller is how the restaurant treats me. Panorama's was great! Because of the large groups, dinner time could have been very noisey and hurried. Instead, I was given a peaceful table near a window and was able to relax and enjoy the food. Risotto Sorrentino style was fantastic! WiFi is available in the reception areas, not in the rooms, but that was ok, because the reception areas face the sea. Panorama also has a terrific outdoor terrace bar for the aperitif hour. Highly relaxing! I would definitely return, and have already told several friends about this hotel. By the way, Meta is an excellent place to stay if you want to be near the sea while avoiding the crowds of Sorrento and Naples.
"DO NOT STAY HERE!"
This hotel was awful! Just plain and simple. Staff were rude, air con (if you can even call it that) only turned on from 4pm to 7am. Hardly any hot water for a shower. No safe, no water in room you had to pay for water and also (quote from reception) "go get it yourself from the bar downstairs" no customer service from this hotel at all,Single beds when we paid for a double bed and requested one. Food wasn't the best and pretty expensive. Only good thing about the hotel is the view from the room and honestly you can get the view from any hotel. Overall worst experience I've ever had from a hotel, you guys either need to sort out your staff and customer service or maybe you shouldn't be running a hotel in the first place.

We stayed at Panorama Palace in july, and we spent some of our time on one of the small terraces located on the third floor, where we played cards and talked while looking at a good view of the city and the nearby Mountains. From our Premium rooms also located on the third floor, we had an amazing seaview. In general the staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was not very far from the beach, which was a paid beach, and somewhere between 10 and 20 minutes from the train station. All in all we had a wonderful vacation in Meta.
"No Air conditioning and rude night staff"
08/11/14 CHAWL18 London, United Kingdom
Good location with sea views, generous sized rooms and friendly day staff. Very rude and unfriendly night staff called Franco. Air conditioning in the room is ineffective and turned off completely at 7.30 am every morning- there is no warning of this anywhere!!! You need fans in the rooms to cool down. When we asked Franco at night for the fan he refused to help and was very rude in his demeanour. Breakfast is poor quality and value with limited choice - Ham appeared grey and stale to say the least. We had to pay 10 Euros per night for parking in hotel. They don't even give you a free bottle of water- charged 1.50 euros per bottle- very expensive. Meta beach is private and small but full of frienly locals. Close to hotel is a fantastic restaurant called Bar Antoinette, super food, reasonably priced, family run and friedly.

Checked in to this hotel a week back, outside looks good and the lobby is nice. The staff were brilliant and the food was okay but very limited choice at breakfast. Entered the room on the first day, there was one working plug socket which later stopped working resulting to use the shaver plug in the bath room. Cleaner didn't replace sheets but just made the beds with the same covers. The towels were very thin and wouldn't dry you enough. The view outside was amazing and you had a panorama view by the hotels outside bar. Overall the stay was fairly poor and i wouldn't stay again.

My friends and I stayed here near the end of the summer. Perched high up on a hillside in Meta di Sorrento, overlooking the water, this hotel was a wonderful surprise. The rooms were more spacious than any others that I have encountered in most modest budget hotels in Europe. The air conditioning was on and cold, and the water was calling to us from below. If you walk down the switchback road from the hotel, you end up in a great little black sand cove perfect for swimming and relaxing. We ate dinner in the hotel twice and were pleased with our meals both times. All in all, this is a wonderful find located close enough to larger towns to be accessible, but removed enough to feel relaxing.
"Great Views, Short stays only"

Its in Meta which can be ideal depending on what you want from your holiday but for us Sorrento would have been the ideal choice as all transfers, trips, restaurants and shops are in Sorrento. Meta has a beach and cafe, restaurant, and a few shops, train station and bus services but expect to walk. The bus service to and from Sorrento is unreliable and only runs to approx.10.20pm, taxis are expensive approx. 35 Euros from Sorrento to Meta, walking takes 45mins to an hour and they don't favour foot paths. I recommend the cafe just down from the hotel, value for money, very friendly and polite and tasty food. Any meal in Meta/Sorrento seemed to be approx. 10 Euros per person and alcoholic drink 6-7 euros but the measures are generous. Be careful when booking trips from Sorrento as they generally only include the transfer/tour in the price, admissions to sites and lunch etc...are additional. As for the hotel, its good for a few days pit stop. Positives Superb view with a sea view room, spacious and clean. Extended check out time by 1-2hrs on day of departure. Negatives The hotel manager seemed friendly and helpful but rarely seen, all other staff barely smile, welcome or seem friendly. The breakfast options are limited as is the hot water for shower. It says the hotel has airport shuttle but we had to sort our own transfers. The air con didn't work in any of the rooms. We had ants and noise from the square out the front (sea view rooms) goes on until early hours of the morning 4.30am-5am, but quiet during the day. No sun loungers allowed by the pool, and small pool.
"Very beautiful Panorama, but try to avoid beaches in Summer"
08/20/13 BAC6815 Lugano
We stayed in this hotel just for One night, as we wanted to see beaches near Sorrent and Napoli, the Hotel is a little old-fashioned, family run and may need modernisation. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast only up to 09.30, but quite reasonable for Italian Standards. We were disappointed by the beaches, totally overcrowded with THOUSANDS of tourists and locals on less then 600meters of Beach, very commicialized. Better avoid the beaches in August (Summer Time is Italian Main Season) - Black sand, not by clean, entrance Fee expensive, (30 Euros for 2 persons for 2 Sinnes and 1 umbrella). The really best is the view from the Hotel and the Piazza outside, try to get a Rom with Sea view (about 20 euros more then Standard room). The Pool inthe Hotel is too small (just 4 x 4 Meters).
