TRAVELERS INN - Nags Head

We wish the hotel had notified us that they are currently undergoing renovations; but the rooms were great and the staff did everything possible to make us comfortable. The hotel restaurant had great food and was very affordable; especially for breakfast. Off season pricing was great and our family would love to go again!

Hotel staff was very friendly, it was clean and overall nice hotel. Our Air/Heat in the room sounded like the motor was going out, and was very loud. Once we unplugged it, it was fine. On our last morning, did not have much hot water, but besides that it was a very nice stay and would definitly stay there again.

We had never stayed at this hotel before and were very skeptical. We were pleasantly surprised. We had originally booked an "interior" room. When we checked in I asked about an ocean view room and the desk clerk hooked us up at no extra charge. Way cool. It was very comfortable with a heater that didn;t sound like 747 about to take off.

We visited friends in the area of Duck for the New Year’s holidays. I decided to book with the Barrier Island Station Resort, which offered a very attractive off-season rate. We were given a two-bedroom, two-bath suite on two levels on the third floor. It included a full kitchen, dinning room and living room. The rooms were clean, well-appointed and offered a great view of the ocean. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would recommend the Barrier Island Resort to all visitors.
