Situated near the beach in the heart of Byron Bay, Bay Haven Lodge is close to Main Beach, Belongil Beach, and Wategos Beach. Also nearby are Byron Bay Lighthouse and Tallow Beach.

In addition to tour/ticket assistance and barbecue grills, Bay Haven Lodge features a garden. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas (surcharges apply). For a surcharge, guests have access to a roundtrip airport shuttle (available on request). This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms.
The 2 air-conditioned guestrooms at Bay Haven Lodge include CD players and coffee/tea makers. Beds have memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, and premium bedding. For a surcharge, guests can use the in-room wireless high-speed Internet access. 32-inch high-definition televisions are equipped with digital channels and DVD players. Bathrooms offer showers with handheld showerheads, and rainfall showerheads. Bathrooms also include makeup/shaving mirrors, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries.
Additional amenities include ceiling fans and windows that open. All guestrooms at Bay Haven Lodge are non-smoking. Renovation of all guestrooms was completed in December 2011.

I did not find the overall setup of this establisment to my liking as you were expected to share lounge and kitchen areas with strangers,this was not the impression given by the description on the net. The owner was not very helpful and seemed to be begrudgingly sharing his house with visitors.The use of the spa was off limits as well and this would […] have been a great incentive to stay there.
