"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Coast Coal Harbour - environmentally friendly"
The Coast Coal Harbour was a very clean and environmentally friendly hotel. They offered large reusable shampoo/soap bottles, recycling bins, and even provided a compost bin. The food served at the Coast was delicious, and I would highly recommend eating there. My only complaint, which is minor, is that the bathroom door needed a doorstop because […] I couldn't get it to stay open. It kept closing all of the time. Read more
"Good Choice"
Clean and bright with comfy beds and nice deep bath tubs. Felt safe to take a walk around the neighbourhood for a late night stroll. I thought the rate was very good considering the location and newness of the hotel. Only thingI can complain about is the complementary razor they gave me. Come on...single blade in 2012? Because of the pain my face endured, […] I will never forget my razor again. (I hope the hotel reads these and fixes this problem ASAP) Read more

Loved your hotel and the view. Loved Vancouver.
"I love this true green hotel!!"
Sometimes hotels uses "being green" as an excuse for lack of comfort etc. but not this hotel. It is very clean, and very comfortable, and very GREEN. The shampoo and shower jell were in the large bottles, and there were three garbage baskets - one for garbage, one for recycle, and one for compost. Now one for compost really impressed me! How many times […] have I regretfully thrown a banana peel into a trash! Here I did not have to! The hotel is clean, stylish, comfortable, with great staff throughout. This will be going to be my choice hotel in Vancouver!! Read more
"Great Place - Great Location - Great Staff"
Need I say more?
"Great place in Vancouver"
I have stayed at a few other high end hotels in Vancouver downtown, CCH is definitely among the best. I found out it was just built in 2010, which explains the modern style and super cleaniness. The room is very comfortable and spacious, staff are super friendly and helpful, location is great. Will return again in the future.
"Wish we could have stayed longer"
This hotel was AMAZING. It is about 4 blocks from Canada place and we woudl have walked with our luggage to the cruise terminal if we wern't with our parents. The staff was GREAT. The only minor thigs were no free breakfast and mostly doble beds. Those aren;t problems at all really. I woudl reccomend this to anyone.
"Hotel Coast Coal Harbour - Vancouver"
Excellent location/facilities/service etc. Couldn't have been more pleased with every aspect of this hotel. Would definitely recommend this.
"Convenient to waterfront and Bayshore marina"
I stayed here on business for a meeting at Westin Bayshore; the hotel is very clean, quite quiet, and convenient to the waterfront (1 block). It is close to the Waterfront rail stop from the airport, and a short walk to the Marina and Stanley Park. Nice hotel, free wi-fi (as it should be, Westin and Marriott!). Rooms are not spacious, but efficient […] and well-designed. Only complaint - my room A/C system was rather noisy - it started intermittently with a startling roar; I had to turn it off to sleep. "Top Class Hotel Near Harbor and Canada Place"
The Coast Coal Harbor hotel provided an excellent base for touring the beautiful city of Vancouver before our Alaska cruise. Only one block from the harbor and within walking distance of many sights. Don't miss the Big Bus tour and Granville Island. The Urban Fare food store and cafe diagonally across from the hotel offers wonderful breakfast, lunch […] and dinner offerings and coffee in an upscale setting at very reasonable prices. This hotel provides top value and is very environmentally conscience in its operation. Read more
Was surprised and delighted with out stay
"Perfect location for cruise ships."
Hotel was within walking distance to the cruises ships, restaurants and shopping making it a perfect location for our stay in Vancouver.
"Very central location & great rooms & service."
The staff is really nice. Room was new & clean. Nice comfortable bed. Few blocks to Robson. 7 min walk to Gastown pubs & restaurants. 7/11 around the corner. Parking expensive due to city's taxes, so don't rent a car until you absolutely need it. I will definitely stay here again!
The staff were exceptional. Beautiful rooms and bedding. Very clean. Would definitely stay at this location again.

"Close to Convention Center"
This hotel is very clean, quiet and convenient to many parts of the West End. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
"Great Modern Hotel Great for Convention Center"
I stayed here for 4 nights because I was at a conference in the convention center. The view is great, the room was clean and modern, and with Free wi-fi the cost was perfect. I would definitely stay here again. I miss Vancouver.
Great hotel...we will definitely be back!
"Expensive parking"
Overall this was a nice hotel except for expensive parking rate and noisy heater Heater in the room was very annoying that heater turned on and off every 5mins and it made the room so dry
"Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in downtown Vancouver"
This is a luxurious yet inexpensive hotel for a downtown location. The rooms are neat and clean and done in a Scandanavian style that is pleasing and restful. The thermostat is manually controlled, so it is possible to adjust the temperature of the room. The bathroom is huge and has a deep tub and is supplied with many fluffy towels and soaps and lotions […] that are better than any I've purchased. The carpeting and bedding are a sort of oceanic floral and also very pleasing, and the wall art is contemporary (though I'm sorry to say I can't remember much more about it). The drapes insulate the room well and open to a remarkable view of the downtown area and the harbor as seen through the spaces between the surrounding skyscrapers. The room features a flat-screen TV with a very easy to navigate menu that allows for in-room music, local broadcasting, and movies - you can order 1st-run, still in the theater movies and watch them from your hotel bed! The coffee supply is good, and black and herbal teas are supplied as well, along with hot chocolate. What is most pleasing is that this is a green hotel - you do not have to throw out any trash. You can compost your orange peels, recycle your newspapers (there are complimentary newspapers - The Globe and Mail, which is very interesting to read), and dispose of your plastic coffee lids in canisters that vow to make energy out of it all. Canada is good this way. The hotel restaurant is also very contemporary and understated, and the food and drink are good. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The gym is nice and overlooks the Bureau of Fiscal Services. There are elliptical machines and treadmills, as well as free weights and nautilus machines. My only complaint was that a reading lamp in the room would have been nice, one that stood above the lounge chair. Read more

"Coastal Coal Harbour Vancouver........fantastic"
The hotel is ideally situated for easy walking access to the harbour, Stanley Park, Gas Town and all the other areas of Vancouver. Our room was fantastic with a brilliant view out over the harbour area. Everything was clean and the room service was excellent. Hotel facilities were also good and the pool and gym are well maintained. All the staff were […] very friendly and we were made to feel extremely welcome. Excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again. Read more

"Coal Coast Hotel"
I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was very modern and in excellent condition. Location was perfect as the cruise terminal and other attractions were only 5 minutes walk away. Everything in down town area was in a short walk(5-10 minutes). An excellent choice also considering the price is much less than the other major hotels in the area. Not as crowded […] and busy as the other hotels which made getting in and up to the room easier. Read more
"A restful stay"
After arriving early from a cruise my wife and I were greeted by friendly staff who stored our bag until a room was available for early check-in. The style was a bit more minimalist-modern than I was expecting, but was done very well. The room was clean and comfortable for an afternoon of gin & tonics, reading and football. The proximity to the harbor […] made for a nice evening dinner and stroll along the "boardwalk". Even though the day was overcast, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I would definitely stay again. "Coast Coal Harbour excellent for Conv Center"
I booked a room for my business trip for an event at the new Convention Center. Took Canada line from YVR, walked to Hotel (3.75 dollars vs 40 for taxi) Very convenient to other coffee shops, restaurants, meetings at other Convention Center hotels.

"Clean Modern Hotel"
A very clean modern hotel, minimalist interior (i.e. Modern) with friendly staff and in a nice business district (from the looks of things). We walked to the Olympic torches from the walkway that is very close to the hotel. Very nice gym and the outdoor pool/hottub looked great (though I didn't go in). Overall had a great time at the hotel.
"Coast - Coal Harbour"

"Coast Coal Harbor Hotel in Vancouver"
This modern hotel just blocks from the harbor and downtown shopping was exceptionally clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel as very good value for the money.
"Great location and staff!"
This hotel was everything I was hoping it would be. We walked everywhere we wanted to get to in Vancouver, the view from the room was beautiful, and the room was comfortable and clean. The parking was expensive, but I got the impression that was the case at every parking lot on the street. I would absolutely stay here again.
What a lovely modern upscale hotel. Beutiful view. Great neighborhod. Loved it.

"Coast Coal Harbour in Vancouver is the BEST!"
I chose this hotel because of excellent reviews and a great weekday rate, and I am so happy that I did! We were in Vancouver celebrating my husband's birthday. When we arrived at the hotel, I told the front desk that I'd like a quiet room with a view. She told us we could go upstairs with one of the bellman to check out two different rooms and let her […] know which one we liked best. This has never happened to me before! I thought it very generous of her to let us choose our own room. We selected a corner room on the 15th floor with glass on two sides looking toward the bay. Spectacular! The room was quiet and soothing, decorated in pale shades of grey, white, and sea-green. Because the hotel just opened in January 2010, everything worked flawlessly. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. I have not a single complaint about this hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Read more

"A brandnew hotel in downtown Vancouver"
It was absolutely great. They did upgrade our room for free and everything was perfect! very clean, very elegant, nice view and all. You just have to pay extra 37$ [er night for parking witch could be an issue!!!! and do not freak out bu the name of the street "W Hastings", the hotel is located near Stanley Park and actually in good part of the city. Overall […] it was great! ;) Read more
