Location is good , hotel counter person can speak english and help to keep my mail package. But the bedroom is smaller than expected. Coz the room have some cosntruction stand inside the room. Make the room space smaller than other 3 bedroom. And the hotel did not memtion before and advise us. Even i have send the e-mail before for confirmation.

Another pass with the vacuum cleaner before check-in would be appreciated. And though I couldn't personally smell it, the comforter apparently had a slight odor to it. The bed semi-double bed (in out room at least) was actually bigger than indicated (maybe a 'normal' double bed), which was a pleasant surprise. Outside the room, the cough near the elevator […] on our floor had a huge noticeable stain on it. No reason for us to sit near the elevator, but if we did need to sit, we definitely wouldn't do so there. We never used any of the hotel services (the only time we were in the hotel was when we were sleeping), so I can only judge the quality of the hotel service based on the check-in process (which was great). The train station is within walking distance, many stores and restaurants. Aside from some cleanliness issues, it was a good stay. If money was no issue, I would obviously want to stay at the more expensive Hilton in the same area. But since we were going to spend most of our time outside of the hotel at Universal Studios and we were only staying in Osaka for half of one day and all of another day (we live in Japan), I didn't make much sense to pay significantly more for a bed and a place to shower. If we were staying for longer though, I might have paid more for the Hilton across the street. One last thing, make sure to request a room not facing the train station. Best feature: location. Typical small Japan-size room, but perfectly fine accommodations if you just need a place to sleep that is really close to the major Osaka train station and shopping areas. Very convenient to the Herbis bus terminal, where the airport bus stops. Clean, safe neighborhood. Excellent Japanese breakfast buffet, reasonably priced […] (1050 yen). The Good: Close to the Umeda station and food streets. It's 5 min walk to the Osaka Umeda (main) station. Easy to get to any train (except Shinkansen which is 1 JR stop away). The Bad: Thin walls. Typical Japanese sized rooms in good condition. Very convenient to the train station once you find the correct exit. Ask for a room facing the train lines as the other side leaves you with a view of another building about 20 ft away. Nothing spectacular about this hotel, but for the price it can't be beat.

This hotel was adequate and only that. It does not live up to its 4.1 out of 5 star rating. The hotel is tired and old, desperately in need of refurbishing and the rooms smell like smoke and have mysterious stains on most everything. The hotel is conveniently located in the quiet business district. The room is very clean and well equiped, We tried the breakfast buffet for Yen 1050, You need to eat a lot to get the money worth, though. Near the hotel, there's a tunnel leading to Osaka Station. I was on a trip with a group of students from my university. We stayed here for 8 nights and it was great. Staff was very nice and helpful when trying to locate places surrounding the hotel. The location is very convenient to the train station and subway, as well as shopping and restaurants. There is also a Starbucks just around the corner!! The hotel is very close to Osaka station where trains, subways and buses are operating. It is also a couple of steps away from airport shuttle bus stop. Around Osaka station there are tons of shopping and dining places. The hotel room is very small, but it is clean and has all one needs.

Hotel was hard to find being new to Osaka, but once we found it, very convenient to the new jr Osaka station (use exit 13? (it's named and starts with an 'S') and cross the main road using the crosswalk. No room to lay out suitcases while sleeping. First of all, the room size was smaller than other hotels I've stayed in. But I already expected that prior to booking this hotel. The english instructions for the TV and AC can be found in the table drawer. They do provide toiletry essentials but there is only a cup warmer instead of a thermos that can boil water. There is an ice machine and drink […] vending machine on every floor. About Y150 for a drink. We utilized the washer and dryer on the basement floor to do laundry. This did allow us to pack light. We were given some scratch cards that allowed us a Y3000 discount at Garden Cafe. The breakfast choices were fine from eggs, sausage, pastries, tofu, miso soup, coffee, teas and juices. Overall, the staff was friendly and nice. The location of this hotel next to the JR Osaka Station was the dealmaker. It allowed us to go to Kyoto, Kobe, Ibaraki, Universal Studios, and other places. There are other places that are within walking distance also. Check out Yodobashi Umeda for shopping. They also have various restaurants on the 8th floor. Probably my only advice is to brush up on your Japanese. We took the limo bus from Kansai Airport that dropped us off at Herbis Osaka. This is a high end mall next to the hotel. It's very convenient. The hotel is close to the station to the point you can hear it in your room. The staff were unhelpful and gave us a smoking room even though we had indicated a nonsmoking room in a non smoking floor. The room is pretty basic for the price you pay. Stay away from this hotel

Hotel room was a bit too warm, we can not control the temperature. We end up with opening the tiny window and have to put up with the noise. Hotel gave us a fan which turn out to noisier than the noise from outside. Horrible 7 days sleep.
