"Waking up every morning to a beautiful view!"
I recently spent 10 days on holiday in Rhodes Town. This was my sixth visit to Rhodes and my fifth to Rhodes Town. It was, however, my first staying at the Aquarium View. I chose the hotel because they offered sea view rooms to single people. This is a big issue to me, see one of my previous reviews. I was not disappointed with the view. As I am an early riser and the hotel from faces east, I had the opportunity of seeing some beautful sun rises and watching the large cruise liners arriving into port. The hotel is listed as 4 star, I'm not sure I agree. I would say it is at the mid to bottom end of 3 star range. It is a bed and breakfast only establishment and the rooms are quite basic, missing the extras I associate with 4 star such as tea and coffee making facilities, all-inclusive or half board option etc. Having said this, it is clean and comfortable, not rowdy, and the staff are pleasant, helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfast is reasonable and plenty of it, although the range of cooked foods for those wanting a hot breakfast is limited. The breakfast room (it is called the restaurant) is functional rather than impressive. The bar is open at lunch time for drinks and hot and cold snacks and in the evening from 5pm to 1am for drinks. The barman is very friendly and hospitable, finding time to talk to guests. Guests have use of the facilities at its sister hotel, the Hotel Cactus, which is next door, including the hotel shop selling drinks, snacks, personal items and the like. The hotel is situated at the Northern tip of the island and the city. It is within walking distance of Rhodes Old Town and the New Town shopping areas. There are also plenty of restuarants around for meals. The hotel is patronised mainly by Scandinavians, who tend to keep themselves to themselves. The abiding memory for me of my stay at the Aquarium is the stunning sea view.

I was disappointed when I first came into the room. It was much smaller than I expected and worn down. The bathroom was ok, seemed clean and ok size. However the most disappointing thing was the balcony. We had payed extra for a view of the ocean, but we got a room on the 2nd floor, so I felt like I was on display for all the people in the street outside. It was a busy street so kind of noisy as well. I learned to accept this after a couple of days, but I didn't enjoy sitting on the balcony as much as I had hoped. No pool either. Ok bar and breakfast buffée on the first floor. The location is very good though. Practically located on a very nice beach and there are streets with good restaurants close by. The old town is also within walking distance.

Great location lovely view from our seaside balcony, nice and clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast average. I would definately stay there again when in Rhodes! Recommended! Aircondition is included, lovely mattress! Slept like a baby.

I have visited Rhodes island couple of times,(i love this place) staying in different Hotels with different prices each time. It's my second time in aquarium Hotel and i believe that it really worths the money, for the hospitality, people there, are more than kind and ready to help for any occasion. The view is just great facing the two hudge beaches exactly in front of the Hotel. Clients can use the pool of the sister Hotel (Cactus) 5 meters beside. The area that the Hotel is situated is great , just great...you may go to any place ( beaches, several kind of bars, restaurants, or to the town center- old town) just by few minutes walk. The rooms are really clean, the wi-fi has a great signal 5/5. I admit that in that price, you may not find any Hotel with such advantages.

Excellent location; perfect sea-view and close to all; city center and beach. Big double room with spotlessly cleaning, very good service from the staff all over, nice breakfast. Cold be some noise in the corridors when doors were slammed at night but no big deal.
"Great view and great service!"

We had one week at this hotel. The view is breathtaking and the service in the reception as well as in the bar is GREAT! The rooms are old and need a refurbish. Small bathrooms but tidy and clean. The WIFI is also quite bad. Again a plus for great service!

We had a nice holiday in Rhodes and at the Aquarium view. The hotel has a very nice location (there can be some traffic noise), and its cheap. The rooms are simple, but we spend most of our days at the beach and exploring the city. Rhodes has many places to explore (the old town, shopping street, acropolis, neighbooring towns). We ate our dinners at a new place every night, and there are many to choose from and lots of different specialities. We recommend walking through the old town at suset. The views are memorable.
"Great location, spectacular view"

I went with two friends over the summer and we had a great time! We loved waking up with a full view of the Mediterranean Sea and being able to just walk across the street to the beach. We found the staff to be very helpful, especially when we had questions about getting to and from the other islands. Free breakfast was good. The decor isn't the most up-to-date but we were more interested in the beach than the carpet so it wasn't a big deal. Would definitely stay there again!
