"Miramar beach hotel - tiara"
Awesome awesome awesome Highly highly recommend this boutique hotel of 54 rooms located in the spectacular theoule-sur-mer also known as balcony over the sea. The hotel location is perfect for couple or solo getaway. Rooms are very inviting with their middle eastern feel and super clean and spacious. Not to mention the view from the room (highly recommend […] a seaview room). The gym is very small but has all you need to get some cardio going. As a guest you will have access to the steam room and sauna. Should you desire a massage, their spa will cover a variety of treatments, Nice size pool big enough to do laps and heated (we swam on dec 21 and laid out shortly after since the weather was very nice for winter - 66 F or 16 C). Marine and Corallie at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Easy parking for a small fee and nice place for brunch with friendly servers (tony was really nice as well). It was the perfect escape I needed at the time. I'd stayed in the hotel 3x before, so I know & have seen the surrounding locations & area. This time it was all about doing nothing. "Cannes Festival Option"
The rooms are quaint but the bathroom are sizable. The Hotel overall is older but not run down. The staff is great and they are very courteous. The bed (full size) is not comfortable is you're attempting to curl up with your mate/it was 2 twin mattress on top of full size box spring. "Romantic getaway in France (but maybe too remote)"
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it was very nice oriental design (which we like), very clean, private beach, beautiful garden in the hills, very nice set up of the property. There were few things we didn´t like about this place though: room service was not available 24 hours a day, lunch or snack not possible form 3pm until 7pm (what can you do […] if you are hungry if there is also no room service available that time?), hotel is quite remote from everything, if you want to explore a bit, you don´t find much. Only 2 local restaurants in close by harbour and 1 local pizzeria. Otherwise no shops around, you have to drive 5 km to nearest small town. Also breakfast was quite expensive if it is not included in the price (32 EUR per person). We know that prices in South France are not cheap but this place was quite over the top - it was our honeymoon so we didn´t mind too much but anyway.... We stayed here for a weekend in September for my husbands 40th and judging by our lovely stay we will be returning next year. The rooms are spacious, and the staff a very attentive. From start to finish this hotel was a class act! Beautifully decorated, amazing rooms and facilities and staff were the best I've ever experienced!! We had booked two rooms in The Tiara Miramar hotel , which is beautifully decorated and situated in a gorgeous site. However it would be difficult to justify the expensive prices of a 5-star hotel : The "sea-view" room was blocked by the pool restaurant rooftop and enveloped in frying & roasting odors! The "hill-view" room had a roof view and other […] rooms appear to be overlooking the rooftops or cars! The air-conditioning didn't work and the technician promised to fix it but disappeared! The porter explained that the technician was short- sighted... The shower smelled like a sewer; unpleasant odors permeated the corridors. The room service brought in 3 bath gels (a room with a shower) instead of shampoo & conditioner. Many details were ill-designed such as: a very small room, no place for the suitcase, unclimbable beds; in the pool-side restaurant the square table-leg was so thick that there wasn't enough space for the diner's legs. Our beds were not separated as we had asked and we got the answer: "everybody had already gone home". We were told that we could have tea in the lobby for free. Yet, to our embarrassment, a waitress said that we should pay. We asked at the desk for 2 sun-beds to be reserved for us at the pool-side but it was not done. The plate we had ordered was too expensive for what we got. Upon checkout, we were required to pay dozens of Euros for beverages we had never consumed! Nyrenoverat fräscht hotell med fantastiskt fint läge längs med havet. Standard är 5 stjärnigt. Rum något små, men i gengäld snyggt inredda och mycket fräscha. Vi bodde på våning 6. Mycket trevlig personal i reception (5 stjärnig standard på service) och restaurang. Hotellet är litet vilket gör att det känns personligt. Härlig frukost, men kostade 32 […] euro per person. Lunch likaså dyr, men det är Frankrike. En liten behållare med Pringles (minibar) kostade 14 euro. Perfekt om man bara vill åka med respektive och stanna på hotellet och koppla av. Det ligger en bit från Theoule by, så bil behövs. Taxi finns, men tar tid att beställa etc. Ber du hotellet beställa en bil, så kommer det en limousine. Fina bilar, men det kostar rejält. "Lovely hotel with stunning views...."

Just returned from a weekend stay at the Tiara Mirimar Hotel in Theoule sur mer. The hotel is really lovely with morrocan style decor throughout. The staff were attentive and polite. Being a 5 star hotel of course the hotel restaurant and bar were extremely expensive which I suppose can be expected. The outdoor heated pool and view of the sea were stunning. I have a couple of small disappointments to share however. There was no hospitality tray in the room. We rang before and requested a kettle in the room which was provided but I was surprised that there was no tea or coffee in the room. For a 5 star hotel i think it would be so simple to offer such a small service which you can find in many other more humble hotels. Also, what a shame to have a spa and hammam but no jacuzzi or indoor pool. For sure the outdoor pool is heated but in the spring its a bit cool when you leave the pool! The spa and hammam are very nice but a bit small, big enough perhaps for 5 or 6 people. On our first visit to the spa we were told it was full and had to return 30 minutes later. I imagine it must be incredibly busy in the summer months!! Also,there was a prevailing odour of sewage in the corridors when we first arrived but we were told that it was probably due to some work which was being carried out in the hotel which I'm sure is true and it was a temporary glitch. All in all, a very beautiful hotel with gorgeous balconies and stunning views of the sea.

A thoroughly pleasant hotel with super friendly staff. The location is a little isolated, out of season, as many of the nearby restaurants are closed or deserted, but the hotel has its own excellent restaurant (I just like to get out a bit). In season I guess there are lots of options. The bar/lounge area is un-exciting and it would have been nice to be able to have a beer over-looking the sea, but again I guess in season the pool area will have a bar. The style is contemporary classic with an African touches but well done. Rooms are a little small, especially the basic rooms not over-looking the sea. The higher grade rooms with balconies and sea view are good, Excellent breakfast and very good helpful service.

Such a beautiful hotel, with really excellent service! If you can, book a terrace room and have room service lunch or dinner - it is so beautifully served and absolute luxury. The spa treatments were fabulous too.

We stayed a week-end in this lovely hotel located on the seafront. Service was excellent and we felt welcome upon our arrival. The Spa is small but nice ( a bit crowded when there are more than 8 people ). We enjoyed an excellent diner at the restaurant ( lentil soup and codfish were both very tasty ). Breakfasts are great too. A great location from which to visit the Esterel region...

Would have given the place an Excellent rating if not for the room service. From the moment you arrive the service was top notch. We were greeted at reception and directed to the lounge where we were served a welcome beverage. Check in was easy and quick. Really enjoyed this place and definitely plan to come again. The site was very lovely. The room was warm and clean. You can tell the place has been nicely renovated. Our veranda was unusually large, which was nice and able to accommodate two loungers, a breakfast table with two chairs comfortably. The rooms all face the ocean except, I think, two. The view at daybreak is spectacular. Room Service was another story. We placed our order for breakfast on the forms provided the night before. We have been traveling in Europe for the last three months. We have become accustom to European breakfast but the hotel's menu presented something that resembled an American style a la carte menu for breakfast. We selected eggs and bacon and the European bread basket. What arrived was something totally different than what we had ordered. The room service delivery gentleman was apologetic and tried to make things right. Next time we will stick to the restaurants at the hotel. There are three of them. This trip was too short to experience the spa but the services looked great and given the fact the service we directly received was old style grand, I can only believe the spa will be a winner too. We will definitely be returning to the Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel.

The fact that this hotel had been recently renovated appealed. I was not disappointed. A successful face-lift with great design. Flat-screen TV in the room. WI-Fi, new furniture, comfortable bed with luxurious bed linen and a modern bathroom. The access to a private garden and a private beach is a big plus in this highly developed, access-controlled area of southern France. Our room had a sea-view from a private balcony - magnificent. Only negatives from me was the absence of a bath (shower only) and lack of tea/coffee-making facility in the room, thus having to phone room service and wait up to 15 minutes for a simple cup of tea.

Beautiful rooms (though small); beautiful private beach! Don't stay in Cannes or in St. Tropez - this is in the perfect spot in Cote d'Azure! Only an hour away from the Nice airport. The pictures on the website are a good showcase for the property. Here are some things to be aware of: 1. You must walk through the breakfast restaurant to get to the beach and room - subsequently when you are done swimming you must go through the restaurant. 2. There is not coffee pots in your room and a pot of coffee is $14 Euro 3. There is room service - that is priced exactly as that of the restaurants - there are two restaurants 4. The restaurant food is adequate - so therefore overpriced 5. The staff is exceptional! 6. Make a reservation for your lounge chair even if it is not busy (especially on a Sunday). No fee - but very limited seating - If it gets busy - you'll be out. All in all - a beautiful property!

This a review for lunch only - we can't comment on the state of the accommodation. Firstly, let me say that we are (or were) great fans of this hotel. We have stayed here 3 times in the last few years. Because our itinerary meant that we were passing through rather than staying in the area, we were keen to see the result of the improvements and therefore booked for lunch only. It started well and we were warmly greeted at 1:00 as our car was whisked away for us. The new terrace looks terrific if a little less homely. However, the service was abysmal. There were plenty of very busy looking waiters and waitresses who were all earnestly scurrying around but never seemed to be able to catch your eye. Eventually we ordered drinks and simple salads and a Miramar Burger for my son. The food took an age to come and when it did it was very average. The Caesar salad was uninspiring with pre-chilled chicken. My son's burger was just OK but the coleslaw was soggy and had no crunch. Simple things that you'd expect from a 3 star restaurant but this is supposed to be 5-star. Things should be more then OK. We were going to order a sweet but were fed up with being ignored at this stage. We couldn't find anyone to ask for the bill so paid on the way out. No-one asked us if we'd had a nice meal or thanked us for our custom. We just felt like a nuisance. On the way out we heard another couple complaining that they had waited an hour for lunch only to be told that the kitchen had closed. So not a terrible experience but Hotels must remember that every guest is important.

I must say, the staff do their very best here. They are welcoming, hardworking, and overall, lovely people. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the decor seems to have a Moroccan bend that you don't expect in the South of France. It's unfortunate that there's not much "beach" space and that you have to "sign up" for that and the pool spots a day in advance... At least it's quieter than smack in the middle of Cannes... Julie and Amadine always had a smile and were always willing to go above and beyond.
