Leon's Place Hotel - Rome

The lighting fixtures in the lobby is gorgeous, I will go back to admire them and the bar is nice. I was not pleased with room service that they could not provide me with a basic pasta promodoro e basilico. The front desk is very pleasant tried. Rooms are quite dark but cosy.

The hotel itself is very nice. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the design is appealing. Breakfast and wifi are also included, which is a big plus. However, the location is not ideal. It's a 30-40 minute walk to most main attractions, or a 10-12 euro cab ride. Close to repubblica, and piazza Bernini , beautiful hotel, great staff, very helpful with everything, spa & fitness are on site & are nice as well, although small. Very rare for EU. Great place for the $$$!

located pretty close to the train station (ok if you like being near the train station). but a far distance from anything worth visiting in rome - restaurants or otherwise. horrible room location with a view of some mechnical equipment. no ventilation and poor air conditioning (the room was not cooled before our arrival nor did it ever get cool one […] we were there (wall unit is covered by blackout curtains so when you sleep you don't get any air). they don't offer irons or any way to play music in your room. fee internet is a plus. My wife and I were very pleased with Leon's Place. The hotel was updated, fresh and nicely decorated. We had a great room with a king sized bed and an updated bathroom. We chose this hotel for its location near Villa Borgese. This was nice and close to a lot of sites. Room was nice and contemporary with a large flat panel TV. Internet was cheap allowing you to pause the time. Bathroom was quite small as well as the shower for the junior suite; can't imagine a smaller room. Nice long balcony to enjoy. Brilliant hotel... 5-10 minute walk to republica and termini stations. You can easily walk to many of the attractions in Rome like Trevvi fountain, Spanish steps etc and there are many bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was Free wifi in our room and throughout the hotel. Reception staff were okay, […] but the barman was superb, very polite and made us feel at home with his cocktail and drink recommendations along with a bit of local info and knowledge. The Hotel itself is nice, the room was big enough. However there is no restaurant, just microwaved food in the bar. The heating wasn't working properly and it took two inquiries at the reception before that was fixed. The staff was really nice though an quite helpful.

This is an extremely nice hotel with clean and modern design. Large lobby and a nice private outdoor space through the lobby bar. Rooms are nicely designed, comfortable, with high ceilings and large bathrooms. Friendly staff was helpful in giving directions and arranging tours. We were not completely happy however to have a 2:30pm check in, after an […] all night flight from Vancouver, and unfortunately the staff was not very accommodating to this - no temporary room, no water offered. The hotel is a bit of a walk from Rome's centre, though its a nice walk through a less hectic area of the city. Still plenty of nice cafés and shops along the way. It'll take you about 30 minutes at least to get anywhere by foot. This hotel is very quiet - for a boutique it was a bit surprising. The lobby bar is quite nice, but at no point were there more than a couple of people around. This can definitely be a nice thing when travelling but we figured it would be a bit more lively. I would recommend this hotel for anyone not concerned with staying right in the heart of the action. Read more

Leon's Place ist ein schönes Designhotel in Rom. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein und strassenseitig etwas laut (Verkehr). Très bel hôtel de style moderne. Les chambres ne sont pas très spacieuses mais elles sont bien équipées. L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier residentiel a environ 15 min de marche de la gare termini et a 10 min de la station de métro la plus proche. Cet hôtel est a conseiller, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour.

Das Hotel ist "durchdesigned" hat aber schon erhebliche Gebrauchsspuren. Die Luft ist schlecht und die Reinigungstruppe versucht das über zuviel Raumspray auszugleichen. Dieses Designhotel bietet ziemlich alles was man braucht. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung jedoch mit Teppichboden ausgelegt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss leider nur mit einem kleinen Fenster auf den Innenhof. Besser sind die Zimmer in den oberen Geschossen. Das Zimmer war sehr steilisch eingerichtet und mit verspiegelten Kästen und Wänden ausgestattet. […] Das Bad war beim Check-In nicht ganz sauber geputzt, dass wurde aber am zweiten Tag in Ordnung gebracht. Die Badewanne hatte eine Regenwalddusche und sehr schön designte Armaturen. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse mehr als reichlich. Die Hausinterne Bar war für unsere Geldbörse etwas zu teuer. Das Hotel liegt nördlich ca. 5-10 Gehminuten von der U-Bahn und 10-15 Gehminuten von den spanischen Treppen entfernt. Wir haben die U-Bahn aber kaum benützt und sind sehr viel zu Fuß unterwegs gewesen. Rom bietet an allen Ecken sehenswerte Häuser und Gassen. Read more
