THE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD. THE HOTEL HAD NO PERSONAL ATTENTION AND NO AREA KNOWLEDGE. MORE TIME COULD HAVE BEEN SPENT ON RECOMMENDATIONS TO RESTAURANTS AND EVENTS. SUGGEST BETTER CUSTOMER ATTENTION FOR FUTURE SUCCESS AND BETTER RATINGS.

We spent 5 nights at the Hotel Armando, using it as our base to explore this part of Italy. The hotel is very modern looking on the inside, both in the rooms, as well as the public areas. Every portion of the hotel is clean, and they provide an excellent free breakfast each morning. The rooms are quite large for a European hotel, especially for the […] prices. We also found that the restaurant that is directly next door was an excellent choice. The main issue we ran into here had to do with parking. On their site, as well as on 3rd party sites, they advertise free parking available. The parking though is street parking only and it is extremely limited. You're basically on your own to find it and the hotel will only give you a permit to put on your dashboard to allow you to park there. If you can't find a parking spot on the street near the hotel, you'll be forced to find a parking lot that you'll need to pay for at close to 20 Euros/Day. To us, this was basically false advertising and needs to be adjusted on the advertisements for this hotel. Also, after 10 PM, the only staff on duty is a security guard from a 3rd party company. While he is friendly, he doesn't have the ability to handle any typical hotel requests during late night hours, which could be problematic if you have an issue during those hours. However, the location of the hotel is excellent as it is within easy walking distance of all attractions in Verona. Verona as a city is also centrally located for day trips to Lake Garda, Vicenza, Padova and portions of the Dolomites. This is a hotel we'd recommend, but if you are driving there, make sure you take the parking issues into account. Read more

This is a good location to walk to downtown. However, the "free parking" means a permit which allows you to park on the street. You must find parking on your own which can be a challenge depending on the time of day. The beds are very hard so not comfortable. Breakfast is good.

Very well kept hotel! Rooms were large for european standards. Breakfast included eggs, meats(turkey, ham,salami among others) , cheese, cereals, bread, fruits and coffee. Except for one snippy, arrogant, spiked-hair hotel receptionist the staff was quite helpful. They made reservations, recommended restaurants, and answered all of our questions. We loved the Hotel Armando in Verona. We visited in February, so the weather wasn't the best, but there is plenty to see and do in the City and we didn't mind at all. The location was great for us to explore the City each day and they even provided umbrellas for us when it rained. The hotel is a short walk from the Arena and surrounded by great places to eat and shop. It is tucked away a little bit and doesn't have much parking out front but just a couple blocks away is a parking lot. The room was spacious and very comfy. My wife and I chose this hotel based upon previous reviewers comments and we were not disappointed. The location is very convenient being a gentle 5-10 minute stroll to the Arena and the centre of Verona old town. If I were to have a criticism it would be that there is limited storage space for clothes, other than those that can hung on hangars, and […] that there is nowhere to hang a damp towel after having a shower. I guess the fact that the towels were changed daily (as was the bed linen) meant that the towels could have been left on the floor. This is a lovely, older hotel, and our room was clean, updated bathroom, and quaint - just the kind of room you would hope to find in Italy. Staff were great and buffet breakfast was always good. Location is excellent, we could walk everywhere. If not carrying a lot of luggage, you could walk to the train station from the hotel in about 15 minutes.

Convenient location, 20 min walk from station and 7 min walk from Arena & shopping. Old building beautifully refurbished and maintained,spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet breakfast. Lovely little hotel in Verona, don't be put off by the outside of the buiding as once inside it is really modern and well furnished. Only 10 minutes walk to the Arena but quite a jaunt from the train station (too far with cases - we got a taxi back!). Overall, good service and a good standard room at a good price - would reccommend.

Gute Lage, Sehenswürdigkeiten in Gehdistanz. Von aussen würde man nicht erwarten man nicht, dass das Hotel innen so modern und zweckmässig eingerichtet ist. Zimmer sind grosszügig. Frühstück bestens. Das Hotel kann in jeder Beziehung empfohlen werden.

Der gesamte Aufenthalt verlief ausgezeichnet. Auch für das Auto war gesorgt, man erhält beim Einchecken eine Berechtigung zum Parken in der blaue Zone, es gab genügend freie Plätze in der Umgebung. Die Stadt lässt sich vom Hotel aus wunderbar zu Fuß erkunden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, das Personal sehr aufmerksam.
