The hotel is nice and out of the way. However , the staff is in need of overhaul. They lost my reservations. When I showed them the email confirmation and transaction ID., they gave me a room but said they would have to charge me the hotel rate and not the Hotel.com rate. It was a difference of $30.00 per night. When I insisted that I would not accept […] that , they magically found the reservation. The Oxbow Restaurant is nice, but staff there is also a bit loose. The Port LaBelle Inn is a great place to overnight when business brings you to LaBelle. It is built on a pasture with livestock, but also on a waterway so it is next to a marina. The on-site Oxbow Grille is always an enjoyable experience.

This is a nice spot out of the way, was in room 219 overlooking the canal. Lots of fish and turtles to watch and a 6' alligator swam up on shore and was sun bathing for hours. I could of sat with the patio door open for days looking at the wildlife

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed infor under $80.00. The room was clean and had no smell waht so ever. The bed spread was homey as were the pillows not your typical hotel linens! The interior has an open courtyard surrounded by the rooms and is very airy should you want to sit outside. The restaraunt was closed on Manday so I had to go […] out for dinner. My mother accompanied me on both visits - she is 90 years old and we requested the room with handicapped facilities in the bathroom area. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading reviews, but the hotel was perfect for our needs. Clean room; comfortable bed; helpful staff. I would list this as a 2 star hotel, but a good 2 star. The restaurant's food was enjoyable. All in all a pleasant stay.

In addition, they have a Corporate Policy that firearms are not allowed in the rooms. This means that anyone with a Concealed Carry License has to leave their firearm in their car which is about as stupid as it gets. This is a rare find for a rural area. It turned a business trip into a pleasurable stay. There is a nice restaurant and bar on the premises, so there is no need to drive. Also a plentiful continental breakfast saves time and money. Not to mention beautiful water views, along with pasture and cattle.

Beautiful wild setting across from the Caloosahatchee River. Very convenient (about 1 mile) to La Belle. Some excellent cuisine (i.e.Foreys) the hotel has great restaurant and bar as well.

I thought the continential breakfast was great; the hotel provided more than what would be expected and/or provided at other hotels. The location was like being at a get-a-way or island. Stay wasn't too bad. We went to change out our towels with the front desk after everyone got a shower from the pool and the front desk told us they didn't have any fresh towels they could give us. When housekeeping cleaned the room they never wiped down the tables in the room. They were sticky!

If you want a quiet getaway with no noise except for the noise of peeping frogs and sounds of the night and the ability to see the sky at night without the lights of cities (just trillions of stars0 than you need to be there. We had a great time at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable and there were things to do. We enjoyed our time at the pool, on the tennis courts and also playing shuffleboard. I will probably go there again.
