I don't like expecting to pay a price and then being surprised with an internet charge and a breakfast charge. The fine print probably indicated that internet and breakfast were not included in the price but I don't think the warning was clear enough and that certainly compromised my experience. The elevator is too small: When I was going up right after […] checking in, another guest who was drinking a beer (and not 100% sober) tripped on himself somehow and poured beer over my suitcase. Everything else good enough for the price but with an industrial impersonal feel. This is an excellent choice for the smart and value-driven international traveller. The hotel is close to everything, clean and comfortable. It is not luxurious so don't expect that. Sort of like an efficient well engineered Audi, not a Rolls Royce. There is Wifi for a small charge and they are pet friendly. The front desk staff were outstanding!

The hotel is well located near the old town and metro stations. However the building is somewhat old, and the facilities are not suited for the updsted safety standards. Going in/out of the shower/bathtub was very difficult and risky, it is ver narrow, slippery, no hand rails, and bathtub is very high.

Great value for money, room was comfy and when asked for extra duvet and pillows they were most helpfull to accomodate us. The staff helped me charge my mobile phone as I left my charger at home. The breakfast was nice with lovely fresh fruit.

Nice hotel for the price. Friendly, good location, clean. Didn't have any towels in my bathroom, but they fixed that straight away. 15 min free WIFI. Bed far too soft... maybe personal preference.

Very handy for Hauptbahnhof and also close to Oststrasse U-Bahn for Altstadt, not that it's that far to walk. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel nicely placed for Altstadt & Rhein. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only stopping one night so room ok but bathroom exceptionally small so I wouldn't have wanted to stop any longer in that room Drink making facilities provided and a small amount of tea and coffee but no milk.

It was a lovely hotel, the only negative part was that the breakfast was not included, and it would cost us 12 pounds per person, that was a bit expensive, so we had breakfast for 4 pounds!

fair sized room but no air conditioning which in the summer was very stuffy...couldn't keep the windows open because of the noise outside so had 3 sleepless nights...the hotel provided a fan but it wasn't enough to make comfortable..the bathroom was absolutely tiny, fortunately i'm thin so i could get into the room and close the door behind me but my […] partner had to use the facilities with the door open, the shower cabin was raised off the floor and leaked violently making getting out of the bathroom quite treacherous, i fell over twice...that said, it's in a great location close to the city centre, clean and reception staff friendly and one of the more affordable hotels on this website and on this basis alone i would recommend it...but why anybody would want to go to dusseldorf is beyond me, it's a building site, dirty and outrageously expensive (May 2011) Read more

Very well located in the centre of Duesseldorf, close to the old city and in the centre, enabling to explore the city and all its sights by foot. Went to Borsenhotel in December for 2 nights. Although requested one double bed - in typical gerna style, two singles pushed together, with a single duvet each. Check in time was 3pm. Room was a standard small double room with a large LCD tv. Being in the middle of summer, there was no air-conditioning but upon asking reception, was given a fan. You reach the trainstation in 5 mins walking, Königsalle is also close by and thus also the metro. From this hotel you can expect clean rooms and a friendly service. However, the comfort is not the highest, rooms are pretty small etc. It is really good value for the money though.
