Carson Plaza Hotel - Gardena

The hotel was located near several freeways making travel convenient. Service was great. Lots of parking. Has a pool and jacuzzi. However, the hotel is a bit dated and old. The gym equipment was old. Continental breakfast was great.

Pros: Price was great for LA Nice pool, hottub and exercise room Refrigerator and microwave in room Beds were very comfortable Staff was awesome Cons: Industrial neighborhood, not glamorous but safe Some ambient local noise from the freeway While not fancy, the hotel was safe, clean and the free breakfast was pretty good. It included hot foods like […] hard boiled eggs and sausage, egg and cheese croissants. I was really surprised at how good it was. There were some noisy kids that were staying there and partying around 1:00 am. I called the front desk to complain, they were warned once, then they were gone by 1:30. If you're looking for a hotel with Super 8 prices and some Hampton Inn ammenities, it's a really great place to stay. Read more

front desk staff were very accomodating. fresh towels provided daily. breakfasts were hearty and delicious. all you can drink juice and coffee machines were superb! micro and fridge were very helpful when you're traveling with young children. pool and spa availability made our trip more enjoyable.

I loved this place. I know it's in a spot of town where they need bars and cages on the windows which made my wife a little nervous. However the free breakfast and free toothbrush, paste, shaver, coke....OH man this place was awesome. We will definitely come back.

I checked-in with my wife then went to our room. We used the wireless to book another room in a different hotel and checked-out. We were there for a total of twenty minutes. The bars on the windows, security window, security door in addition to our room door and the smoky smelling, non-smoking room convinced us that this was not a place to park our […] car packed full of our belongings. We had gotten a non-smoking room and somehow the room had cigarette burns (on curtains and on bedspread). Also, got a call from another hotel room asking to bum cigarettes from us. No wash clothes for the first night. Jacuzzi was actually an oversized tub that didn't dispense bubbles. Stains on the sheets, curtains and towels. Room smelled a little […] funny. We ordered non-smoking room. The only evidence that we were in one was the placard mounted on the wall. However, the smell definitively proved that it used to be a smoking room that got converted to a non-smoking. Also, it doesn't look anything like the photo. Everything was old! Really old. Carpets, mattresses, drapes, furnishings... Perhaps these […] contributed to the retention of the burnt nicotine scent. Forget about the free breakfast if you have any dietary restrictions - maybe just the juices? The only positive I can think of is that it was literally a step south of the 105 freeway and just one exit east of the 110. But freeway noise might be a problem at night for some. Read more

It is not in the best area and you can tell with the bars on the windows and gates to get to your room. The fact that the man behind me when I checked in wanted to know if they rented for an hr (they do not) made me question staying at this hotel. Actually we had a pleasant stay. As I was only staying 1 night I was not too concerned about quality as needed something close to Home Depot Center. Hotel little bit old and not too much around the area. Rooms a little dated and dark but for 1/2 nights more than adequate if you dont need luxury. 5 mins drive from Stadium and probably 15-20 minute walk down main road
