"You get what you pay for"
TV is from the 90s, and tiny. I woke up at 3am to the refrigerator motor screaming at me, had to get out of bed and unplug it. The lobby smelled like baby vomit mixed with a retirement home, as well as the hallways. The room was "clean" as it could be but I doubt anything had actually been cleaned in quite a long time. The toilet had a thick layer of […] sediment built up from not being used, so i'm guessing nobody had been in to clean for quite some time. The only plus was the girl at the check in counter, she was very polite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not awesome"
The place is clean and well maintained, and is a short walk to downtown Bennington. But the owners also cut a few corners, like the ancient shower curtain in my bathroom. Although I rented a suite to have a separate sitting room, the extra space was set up for additional sleeping, not socializing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful hotel experience, highly recommend!"
I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking excellent accomodations and a great hotel staff. A staff member personally walked us to our room and asked if we needed further assistance. Our room was beautiful! When we visit the area again, we will definitely book the Paradise Inn!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place for a night"
We found this on Hotels.com and I was a little hesitant as we normally stay in 4-5 star hotels. Based on reviews we stayed here for a night on our way to Okemo. Place was cute, clean, and the staff was nice. The rooms are dated; but clean. Was fine for a night or two!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent place to stay for a few days"
Overall everything was great minus the not so comfy bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice and large; very clean. I liked the artwork on the walls. The lobby area was large with two big couches. "It was really close to must see sights"
After reading a variety of good and bad reports I decided to take a chance. The price was right. Everything was clean and very confortable. They provided a refrigerator and coffee pot for our convenience. The staff was friendly and most helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice rural setting"
Nice rural setting, cozy comfortable rooms, staff was friendly and eager to please. Had the pleasure of staying at this establishment 2 times in a two week period. I would definately book this venue again the next time I stay in Bennington.Genuine Expedia guest review
Over priced, was not told when I made reservation room had sauna and Jacuzzi making the room really overpriced. No coffee pots in room and for the price of $140+ there should have been. I was told this was the last room and when I tried to get an economy on arriving told I would need to call agency I scheduled with. "Cheap owner, nice staff"
We arrived on the Sunday evening before Columbus day and settled down to watch some football and Masterpiece theater. No football--not a single channel!! The two sports channels had soccer reruns. Then, we found PBS on the FOX channel, got half way through the drama when suddenly the tv switched to FOX. PBS is not carried by the cheap, cheap satellite […] package. When I complained I was informed that this sometimes happens. Well, it shouldn't happen in a hostel of any ilk. This place is cheap, cheap, cheap on anything that costs management. The carpet is filthy in the hall, there is a single tiny window in the room, etc, etc. Try another place in Ludlow. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Quaint old motor inn needed better care."
Interior was in need of update and general maintenance. Corridor smelled like Pine cleanser/deodorizer (trying to mask something else). Paper thin walls made rooms very noisy. Old refrigerator in room was so noisy we had to keep it unplugged. With a little tweaking this could be a nice lodge-type accommodation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Halls smell. Rooms smell. Antiquated furniture and tv, threadbare linen, stained blanket. This place really needs a makeover!Genuine Expedia guest review
Halls smell, rooms smell! Very old furniture and tvs. Threadbare linens, stained blanket. No tub, ancient stall shower. This place really needs a remodel. We had two itinerary numbers for some reason. They gave us a room for one night and then informed us we had to move for the other two nights. Had to unpack, then repack then unpack again, etc. So […] unaccomodating! I would not recommend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Clean, Comfortable, and Reasonably Priced"
I was quite pleased with my stay at the Paradise Inn. My room was clean and comfortable. While the room was a little dated, it did not detract from its serviceability. The room did include a modern, descent sized flat screen television. The staff was helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure I enjoyed my stay. "This facility was once a top notch hotel."
This hotel needs a refurbishing. It's seen it's better days. It's old fashioned and needs to be spruced up to bring it back to the hotel it once was. The main problem for our disappointment was a stale smell in our room. Almost like someone had smoked and tried to cover up the smell with something. It was terrible and I kept blowing my nose during our […] stay, but only in the room. The staff was pleasing and helpful. The facilities were ok if you don't care about mediocrity. But it wasn't over and above what we are accustomed to, and make us come back to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. On reading other reviews, we brought our own coffee maker for our room. But they had coffee in lobby. Short walk up the hill to Old Bennington. Hotel had a nice handout with a walking tour. Pool looked great but we were there in late Sept and it was too cold.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff were very friendly and most helpful...every single one! That said, the room was sadly out of date and smelled damp and musty. There is no breakfast included or even a coffee maker in the room. Coffee and tea is available in the main lobby, but we were in building three. Not helpful if you like to take coffee in your robe and slippers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wish we had longer than one night"
Although the check in was a little problematic, once the issue was solved, it was a great night's stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The town was great, but they do close down early, so we had to make a few phone calls before finding someplace to have dinner after 8:30. We chose this hotel because we knew after a long day of driving, […] we would want an outdoor area to enjoy being outside, with a little bit of cover if the rain in the forecast was actually going to end up falling. When we checked in, we were given a room that did not have outdoor access, which the hotels.com website for the hotel specifically said came with every room booked. After going back and forth with the front desk person, asking to move our room (which she wasn't exactly too keen on doing) and finally showing her the fine print on my reservation from hotels.com, she eventually moved the room. The only time I've ever had to explain to someone in customer service that I don't care about their business to business relationship, that I only want what I've been told I was getting. At any rate, once we were in the room, and could relax, everything was great. I would recommend this as a place to stay if you don't mind a place with a little age, but that's in a great little town and is clean and comfortable! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Place for Pooches"
Personnel were solicitous and helpful with local information. We brought our dog, and everyone made him feel welcome, too! Nice pool in a lovely setting: hammock, gazebo, comfortable outdoor furniture. Wi-Fi worked fine in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms fine, great pool area"
Visited with my husband and two year son. The pool area and large enclosed lawn were perfect for my son. The room was basic, not great, but not dirty or anything. We'd stay again if we had reason to be in Bennington. Honestly, the town itself was more of a disappointment but the hotel was fine. In fact, great for the very low rate of $80 in August.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very pleasant stay"
Very nice room. Quite large with a king bed. The bed was slightly too firm for me but not excessively so. Note: there is no elevator so if you can't do stairs be sure to specify a ground floor room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for a trip to the Green Mountains"
Paradise Inn made a great 1 night stop during our trip to the Green Mountains. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. It's just a block or two outside of downtown Bennington, so it's an easy walk to restaurants, and the hotel itself is set back from the road so the noise from traffic is reduced.Genuine Expedia guest review
The beds could have been more comfortable. The pool area was really nice. The location was central to everything. The hotel/room were clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent place to crash"
It was tough to find the hotel up behind other buildings with a drive in disrepair. Night deskman was helpful and friendly, day staff had to be dragged out of her office and was brusque at best. Room fine, other than waterproof covering on the mattress that made moving very loud. I wonder if we tripped into a local no-tell motel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Basic Hotel"
Very pleasant but basic. Attractive but small swimming pool. Large and clean room with iron and ironing board, but no coffeemaker and no refrigerator. in the laundry facilities there is only one washer and dryer, so the wait can be long if others are using it. Very nice and helpful staff. Entrance is on a main road, so not difficult to find.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable if others not available."
Obvious efforts to update older facility, but not quite there yet. Courteous at desk. However, set-back location and office not easy to find after dark. Beds a bid saggy, but not terrible; pillows a bit firm. Parking and roadway could use a topping. Lovely lawn and pool area at rear.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely outdoor pool"
My wife, who is a water aerobics instructor, likes to stay in hotels with pools. Although I was skeptical about an outdoor pool in Vermont, even in August, my wife found it perfect. Large, very clean, in a lovely garden setting, and with comfortable water temp. Inn is a little dated, but in good shape, and very conveniently located just a few blocks […] west of the town center. Great place to stay for exploring southern Vermont or the Berkshires. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"3.8? NO WAY!"
Again, another sub-par motel with a high rating. Our room stunk, literally. It smelled like old dirty socks. In fact, after a few hours it became nauseating. The wi-fi didn't work most of the night. The bathrooms had hairs on the floor and sink. Parking was inconvenient. Check in took way longer than necessary. The room was dated -- like from the 60s […] or 70s. The TV was from the 70s -- literally an old picture tube TV that had lines going through it and the color was wrong. What a joke. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"ok for one night"
The Paradise Inn was ok for one night, but I'm not sure I'd stay there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great- just a few blocks from downtown Bennington. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. Overall the place is a bit dated, but clean. However our bed wasn't very comfortable and the constant dripping from the a/c […] upstairs onto our a/c unit drove us crazy. We had to put a towel out there to muffle the sound so we could sleep. I would have been even more annoyed if the room had cost more. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay for one night and are ok w/ lack of creature comforts it's ok. There is something special about the grounds that surround this hotel. One can truly just relax and feel at peace while walking along the grass - or by taking a swim. Over all a very good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I wish that there had been a breakfast served. A continental breakfast seems to be the norm at most motels. Also, although there were three people in our party, the maid service routinely left only towels and cups for two. A little inconvenience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for price and location. Dirty and outdated."
Check in was pleasant. While walking the hall to get to the room was dark and dingy. Very poor lighting. The room was outdated and dirty. Would not reccomend for a 'romantic gateaway'.Genuine Expedia guest review
