Super hotel, convenient, very close to MTR

This new hotel is clean with modern decor, good service and even with harbor view. I guess the reason for the lower rate compare to other hotels is the location. The area is surrounded by small business mainly catering to the local, less ideal for the tourist.

Bad food made me sick, noise from highway, not easy to subway.

We enjoyed our stay because the service was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. The beds were the best during our entire stay abroad. The hotel is not in the main tourist areas but is close to the MTR and you can get anywhere.

Beautiful and modern hotel, with very helpful staff. I had reserved a regular room with a low rate, but upon arrival I was upgraded to a very large one bedroom corner suite with a kitchenette and breathtaking view! Next time even if they don't upgrade me I will spend whatever it takes to get this larger room because it's worth it. The food at the Breakfast […] buffet and Afternoon Tea was great. The Harbor Grand was more beautiful than the website pics give it credit. A gorgeous lobby and rooms with amazing views of the harbor, downtown Hong Kong and Kowloon. The bar and restaurant on the top floor is incredible. Only word of caution is not to use the Grey Line tour service recommended by the concierge. We were very underwhelmed by the Kowloon […] tour and dinner cruise that the concierge enthusiastically recommended. This is one of the newest hotel in Hong Kong that provides a wonderful harbor view. The west side of the hotel rooms provide a great view over the center of the Victoria Harbor between Hong Kong island and Kowloon. However, the hotel is not located at the center of the business district nor a shopping center. The buildings and the streets around the […] hotel looks quite bad and awkward. If you want to go to a nice restaurant or a good place for a drink, you have to take a taxi to travel to other district (like Causeway Bay). Read more

My wife, 8-year old daughter and I absolutely LOVED this hotel. The room was clean, and suprisingly large for Hong Kong standards (enough room for a desk to work on and a rollaway bed for my daughter to sleep in). The lobby is stunning, the cafe restaurant was great (albeit a bit pricey), room service was excellent, but most importantly the gym and […] the swimming pool were fabulous. We stayed for 10 nights, and used the swimming pool 9 of the 10 nights we were there (it's open until 9 pm and heated to 84 degrees). The hotel also arranged for us to have an early check-in (our flight from the US arrived in Hong Kong at 7:00 am and we were in our room by 11:00 am) and a late check-out at 2:00 p.m. All-in-all, it was a great stay at a reasonable price by Hong Kong standards, and it had all of the ammenities that we were looking for. The hotel is fabulous, but does the standard high end hotel kind of stuff..... charges exorbitant rates for 24 hour internet access, high cost for breakfast buffet etc. But the room and bathroom are exquisite (careful - the bathroom in my room was separated from the main area only by glass. There is no way of having privacy when using the toilet if […] there are two of you in the room, unless the other person actually leaves the room.). There are surprisingly few TV channels - about 40, of which only a handful have English language programming, none of which are a movie channel. Traveling on business alone as I do a lot in Asia, I am often in the room after dinner and want to relax by watching TV, but that wasn't so easy her. Though the hotel is very high end, the immediate neighborhood is very low end. But it' feels perfectly safe. The location is also way away from the typical areas in Hong Kong that a visitor or business person might want to visit, but the MTR station is two very short blocks away so it's not really a problem. For cheaper internet access or breakfast coffee you will find several Starbucks lined up on the surrounding streets, just a minute or two away from the hotel. The hotel did not list them in the printed sheet that shows the immediate neighborhood, but they are there. Read more

We decided to upgrade to the Harbor Club package which seems to be well worth the money. We had breakfast on the 41st floor executive lounge. The afternoon tea time and cocktail hours were great. After two nights though, we started to get tired of the food. Maybe, we were really spoiled. If you take a taxi to the hotel, make sure that the taxi driver […] knows where he is going. We got dropped off at a wrong hotel which has a similar name. That was the only frustration. We found out later that it happened frequently. The hotel was wonderfully overstaffed. Assistance was always readily available. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a room right by the elevators and did not hear a sound. I was disappointed in the price of obtaining internet service and the price of the restaurant meals. The food was good and the buffet was huge but the price was just too much. […] Pool is beautiful and well maintained. We were mislead about a hot tub. There is no hot tub at the pool area, it is the bathtub in your room. It is close to the subway/train station but other than that, one had to travel to do anything. This is a four star hotel, both in the condition of the hotel and the service. Some of the staff behaves as very attentive and willing to provide service, while others seem not to care. So proper training is in order. Rooms are not updated. Furniture is all and discolored. Floor rug needs a thorough cleaning or replacement. The hotel seemed to be one of those gigantic super hotels seen all over Hong Kong, but staying on the Harbour Club level allowed for quite personalized service. The hotel is located close to a MTR station (Fortress Hill) where you can get to virtually anywhere in Hong Kong quickly. excellent new hotel in slightly out of the way location. Great views if you get them- we have stayed 4 times now and very reliable all over. Price can be very competitive sometimes so look for best deals. HK has many good hotels so competition is fierce.

We like to stay in town while we are working at the AWE. The Harbour Grand is a very beautiful hotel. The rooms are rather small which is typical of HK hotels, but the glass walls between the room and the bathroom and the bathroom and the shower/tub area really helps open up the room. Plus it is very unique. We chose the less expensive view room, and […] the bay view was still very nice. At over 40 floors, the 6 elevators were a little slow at arriving. Even though the foyer was large and beautiful, it seemed to feel cold without any comfortable seating area to relax and read a newspaper while waiting. Lastly, the hotel was not close to downtown shopping and the market place. You must catch a taxi or the Fortress Hill MTR, which was close, to do anything. This hotel was an amazing experience. First of all, it was very easy to get to (right near the subway stop) and in the perfect location right on the harbor. It is also gorgeous; With giant chandeliers, incredibly architecture and a wonderful view. We got upgraded from a delux to a superior room and I would highly recommend it. Both rooms were a great […] deal and looked really nice, but the superior room had a huge bathroom with an amazing shower that made you feel like you were in a rainforest every time you used it. The staff were also very nice. I had a snag with my credit card because of "irregular activity" due to using it outside of the US and they were very patient and helpful in resolving it. The quality of the hotel was wonderful. Service was efficient and I think up to par of a 4 Star Hotel. My room was impeccable and the view was wonderful. I was upgraded on my second stay and had a room on the Spa level...it was a bit larger with a Jacuzzi on the balcony. It was incredible. Highly recommended.

An absolute bargain as the stay was part of the hotel's 'soft' opening. It's very nice and the staff were very helpful. The location is a bit different but the views from the room and especially the top floor bar/restaurant are amazing. You get to see the fabled Hong Kong skyline and Kowloon. The MTR link is only a few minutes walk away and getting […] in and out of the main areas was not a problem. A couple of things to be aware of, firstly there were not many restaurants nearby and secondly don't get a room by the lift shafts as it will shake!!!! Alovely hotel overlooking Causeway Bay and with magnificent views over the Harbour.,especially at night from the wonderful restaurant. The staff were marvellous. Our 2nd visit and we were not disappointed again.

The hotel is really nice, great view for the room, rooms are big, bathroom is super nice, fantastic breakfast. Close to the subway station, but lots of construction around, not good for walking around. But still very good hotel, and I will stay again. Love the fruits in the room every day.

The hotel is very modern and is very close to the MTR station. The hotel room's view is fantastic. There are also quite a few eateries nearby. The hotel's swimming pool is beautiful, just a pity that I went in the winter, hence did not use it. The male staff at the concierge could be a little more friendlier and with more smiles. Helpful polite staff at all levels earn its 5stars BUT greedy internet charge. Buffet breakfast Christmas Morning served in a chilly room. I have had better sausages & bacon in meaner establishments. Views from our room & penthouse restaurant overlooking harbour were memorably spectacular. Hotel not very central Disruptive noise from nearby road works […] & traffic when sitting out on patio. Hotel it self is great but surroundings are bad. It's located on back ally and the ex-government building that is now vacant looks like ghost house. And speaking of harbor view, yes I can see the harbor view but the road construction in front of the hotel breaks the nice view. Ok hotel a little out of the way but close to the MTR station. Got a room on the 12th floor and the noise of the highway was omnipresent. Internet fee at 18usd is an inconvenience when many hotel offer it for free.

The hotel is delightful inside and while it has close access to the subway it sits below the freeway. Was not able to do much exploring as had a typhoon warning which meant everyone had gone home and locked up.

The Harbour Grand Hong Kong has great views of the habour. The hotel is new and very well maintained. However the breakfast spread choices are limited.

The hotel is at a quiet cul-de-sac facing the harbour. The view is great. It is also convenient, only 5 minutes walk to the MTR station, which is only 2 stops away from the busy Causeway Bay. The restaurants around the area are mainly for locals, but with good quality and cheaper than those in Causeway Bay and Central. The hotel seems to be targeting […] for business customers. i like the lobby, its really grand and nice!

We loved this hotel. We chose the Club floor, because it gave us the views we wanted, and a lounge to retreat to for coffee or cocktails between quite frenetic excursions into the city and beyond. Service was great, and the food in each of the restaurants (we tried them all) was excellent

What a beautiful hotel - breathtaking yet so helpful and friendly. The nicest reception area I have ever seen especially the Cyrstal Christmas Tree - and the room was designed and maintained to the highest standards.

This hotel is a large hotel, with a beutiful pool, great room service and nice and friendly staff. We were upgraded which made things extra nice. At the end of the street is the entrance to the train station which was easy and effiecent to use with a tourist octupus card. Fantastic service and hotel facilities. Check in was a breeze and was promptly escorted to my room and shown all the usual features. Service was outstanding. Public transport was short walking distance with good selection of food outlets and shopping. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful facility, very polite and accommodating staff, but not a good choice for female business traveler. Internet in room is not included in the club price. Elevators too slow, one time waited 5 minutes for an elevator, and this was not a question of too many people in the hotel. The hotel is located in a neighborhood, if you want to walk around […] at night, there is nothing to see.
