The rooms are falling apart! Instead of professionally correcting the issues PATCHWORK has been performed. The room was TOTALLY rigged with "repairs". What a shame.

I booked a room for 2 people with 2 queen beds when I arrive I had 1 queen bed and it was small the room was really small they had a bug problem which wasn't too bad because it was ladybugs but the room was really small the hotel was sold out I couldn't change my reservation had to find another hotel

The location was close to my business meeting, and that is where the positives end. I requested a non-smoking room, but it smelled horribly of nicotine and smoke. The toilet leaked and the sink didn't drain. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Overall I would not visit this establishment ever again.

Stayed there several time during business and vacation trips. It was very nice, clean, quiet, friendly & helpful staff. I was able to leave my vehicle there, shuttled to the airport and picked up timely. I would stay there again or recommend.

My stay at this hotel was terrible. Pure false advertisement online. When I first entered my room there was a full live coachroach. I just swiftly turned around and headed back downstairs. Because I had a late arrival and checked in around 2am. I had not other choice but to stay. They did however gave me another room. The entire facility was run down. […] When I got around to looking for another place to stay all nearby hotels were book because of the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston. I was stuck. I never went to the pool for fear that it could be unsanitary based on the interior of the rooms. This place didn't even provide lotion. I had to asked for soap a day after my room was serviced as though they didn't realized that I didn't have a fresh bar. The wall paper was peeling off of the walls. It was just terrible. The continental breakfast was ridiculous, as if I was, after seeing a cockroach the night before. If you are ever in Houston, Texas, please please please don't book this hotel. America's Best Value Inn is a very strange place. We got in late at night and had reservations, but until we called, the shuttle wasn't coming to the airport to pick us up. On our way out of the airport, our driver got a call that said two others were waiting, and so he turned around and went back for them. But they didn't know which terminal they were […] in, and so we couldn't find them for a while. It just kept getting later. Then the other couple asked to go get food, a request which the driver acquiesced, but which made the time add up. Finally we arrived at the hotel, which is decorated with lavish touches (a leather chaise) next to shabby construction (walls, ceilings, hallways with no air conditioning). Our room was host to a large roach on the pillow. We moved to another room, but it has not been updated in many years, evidently since before the Americans with Disabilities Act, and there is only so much that can be done with age and wear and tear not on your side. Overall, a sad place, with front desk staff as best as she can be ... but this is America, where despair is inescapable. Read more

The hotel seemed very cheap and old. I thought I was getting a good deal and staying in a nice place or at least decent, but I was wrong. It was dirty and uncomfortable. The shuttle was only for airport transportation but the door man arranged for a shuttle to take us to a close by restaurant so that we wouldn't have to get a cab. First of all, the staff was wonderful. No complaints at all there, in fact, only praise. Very friendly and efficient. The condition of the hotel was decent and in good repair, but certainly nothing fancy. The room was clean, but a tiled section of the floor near the kitchenette was sticky all around, apparently from cleaning solution not thoroughly […] rinsed off. That also left the room with a smell of mop water or cleaning solution that was not terrific. Otherwise, a pretty comfortable stay and extremely easy to get to IAH, which was the reason for staying. Well the hotel has its pros and cons mostly cons to me.... They are cheap wouldnt give us extra towels for anything for the pool or anything. Internet was down alot and the tv sucks! I also bought like 8 nights off the website here once I got there I see they have a Weekly rate for wayyyy cheaper than buying it by the night so I asked if I could switch it and of course not I couldnt. There was no clost, no coffee the second day, no Internet in the room and none in the business center the second day. We had only two pillows and it took two days to get two more--the chair was wood and slipped to the side when we sat on it--we requested another (that took 2 days) and the bed was as hard as the floor.

I have never stayed at a halfway house but this is what I'd imagine a room there would be like. I served in the army for five years from 99-04 so it takes a LOT to make me "squimish" but this place did it. The furniture was dusty and nasty where you woudn't want to touch it. My room didn't have a closet. The remote didn't work, the a/c was LOUD it kept […] me up all night. The staff was courteous and kind but the upkeep at the hotel was atrocious. I made it through the night and the room served it's purpose, I would never stay here again tho, take my advice and stay at the Baymont right down the street. The hotel is in a good locaton. It's close to the airport and restaurants. But the most disappointing things that I've noticed were the roach traps in my room. They were under the air conditioner and the bed. I wasn't to able to have a good night sleep because I kept thinking that a roach might crawl in bed with me. Also there wasn't adaquate bars of […] soap to take a shower. I left the hotel and went to the nearest CVS store to buy body wash. The hotel seemed to old and out dated. I also noticed the breakefast hours were short. I left the hotel a little before nine a.m. and there wasn't hardly anything left. I liked the rate and felt that I could trust a property recommended by Hotels.com so I chose this one. After checking in and finding the way to our room, I was startled at the stains on the sofa bed and immediately noticed I was unable to pull out the bed completely without the entire thing collapsing. I decided my daughter and I would have to share a bed. We put the TV on briefly and ate our take out at the table. I felt like I couldn't wash my hands enough after touching the sofa bed and the table. It felt like there was a film on the furnishings that stuck to you. After using the bathroom, I noticed that it had been a long time since a maid cleaned in there with the door shut. The wall behind the door included a mirror and there were spots and stains against the wall and marks on the mirror. The next morning (after 5 hours sleep) we were awakened by the wake up call. I turned on the shower for 20 minutes before the water got warm. I attempted to use the hair dryer which shorted. I made coffee with the in-room maker and my husband had to get a cup with sugar & creamer from the front desk. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Read more

We had to stay here due to a flight being cancelled out of IAH. It was the cheapest thing near the airport and not too far, so that was good. The building definitely needs some maintenance. General cleanliness and upkeep of the public areas wasn't too great, but our room was surprisingly clean and comfortable (and that matters the most). There was no hot water during my stay. After midnight the night I arrived, I ran it for several minutes, and it stayed cold. I assumed that was because of late check-ins from the airport, which seems to be most of their business. But the next morning, it was only marginally better. When I asked at the desk, the clerk said, "They told me to tell you, […] you have to run the water for 10 minutes before it warms up." But I really think their hot water system was down. It was relatively cool while I was there, but because the through-wall HVAC unit seems to have no provision for removing humidity, it was very damp in the room. This hotel was just what we needed. Inexpensive and close to the airport so we could get some sleep before our next flight. The shuttle driver was extemely nice and helpful. We noticed that airline pilots and stewardesses were staying here. Nothing great about the place, but not too run down or anything.
