The hotel is in a very nice location, people very nice, restaurants very nice, very good breackfast, but the best of all is the spa, after hours of walking in the Old Town nothing more relaxing than a couple of hours in the spa, I really recommend it.

We were celebrating birthday of a friend of mine. Day in SPA was perfect, they have also bar in the pool, which is very comfortable. Many different saunas. Location of a hotel is right in the center so you can easy get to any club and back ;)

Public areas are refurbished to a high standard and the rooms are spacious and comfy but you have little control over the heating within them, so it can get a little cold at random times. Stayed 2 nights with group of friends (4 in total). Had booked two rooms but got suite instead so we could stay all in same room - this is recommended if you are four people. The spa is really nice, with a lot of various pools and saunas. Not as spectacular as a luxury hotel spa (e.g. Budapest) but probably better experience. Believe they had 4 types […] of saunas and 5 different pools - and a bar in the spa, outstanding! The breakfast buffet is also good, not 5* (a la germany) but has everything you need and open until 1030 on weekends - and the staff weren't picky, could easily stay until 11am if you were still eating. As a bonus there was free wifi across the hotel and you could use the spa after you had checked out (we had a 5 pm flight) and it was very close to the airport, max 15min in taxi (which was 8 EUR). We've stayed at spa hotels before, and yes, they had a spa located somewhere off a corridor and to the left through a cupboard, but this hotel has LOADS of spa rooms, saunas, swimming pools etc etc etc. We loved our stay. A large hotel with many facilities and the choice of tour buses. Nice room, double glazed and quiet with comfortable king size bed except for the poor pillows, minibar, TV and coffee making facilities.. Modern clean bathroom. Good buffet breakfast. 10 minutes walk to the Old Town and very close to transport.

Hotel excellent. The staff are very friendly. If you get a bus ticket you can get around Tallinn very easily. Taxi fares are quite reasonable but they vary quite a bit. Some do try to rip you off.

This hotel offers great value for money. The standard breakfast is adequate. There is plenty of choice, but some of the hot food offered is I guess processed. Make sure you get to the spa before 11 am so that entry is free. After that you can stay all day if you like. The pool is better than anything I have used in the UK and the saunas are varied and […] relaxing. The changing rooms and showers are exeptionally clean and well organised. (The Eastern Europeans know how to build spas and pools that work!). I would have expected however not to pay for use of bath robes, (for the room and getting to and from the spa), but given the rate we paid, it was no big deal really. The hotel bar and especially the Tapas bar is expensive as one might expect in a Hotel & the choice of food is limited although the Asian restaurant offers varied and reasonably priced meals. We stayed in "The Classic" room, which is the older part of the hotel and these rooms are much bigger than the newer part. The bathroom was large and very warm with underfloor heating. As for Tallin,-a very interesting city, but I would avoid using the restaurants in Old Town square. Although convenaint, they can be expensive and the food not very good quality. Look outside the main square in the quiter streets & you will find plenty of choice. We found the local people very polite & friendly. English is definatly not a problem anywhere. All in all, a very comfortable hotel with good facilities and would certainly return. Read more

I stayed in the above hotel from the 27th/30th Dec 2011 bed and breakfast only in a standard room. The standard room is basic but clean. Inclusive between the hours of 7a.m and 11a.m the spa is free which is fab It was an enjoyable stay. Tallinn Old Town is beautiful. Full of History and lots of yummy choc places.

This was a real surprise, reasonably priced but an absolutely fantastic hotel. I didn't use the restaurants but from what I could see, lots did and it seemed to be busy which is a good sign, plus Russian restaurant seemed popular. The gym is absolutely top-notch - loads of machines and weights, and the same as a high-quality fitness suite you'd pay […] big money to join outside, not the frequent nonsense in hotels of a few broken machines and a bike without pedals! Sauna and pool is fantastic too - lots of different saunas and jacuzzis. Make sure you get this included in your stay - and get pink stamp on your key card when you check-in - was a bit of hassle as they forgot to put it on mine. Lovely staff too in hotel. Only fault is that Wi-Fi and even cable computer connection was poor - it did work, but not always a strong signal. If that was fixed, would be perfect. There's nothing around the area but the old town is only around 10 minutes' walk up the hill nearby, and a quicker downhill walk home. I would totally recommend this place without hesitation! We chose the hotel for its location, parking and swimming pool - it did not disappoint on any of these three criteria. But you do need to know that if you value being in a small, personal hotel then this is not the place for you. It is clearly catering for large numbers - at least 5 coaches a night. Breakfast is a military operation with canteen style […] facilities. On one morning, no-one had managed the timing of the arrival of the residents from the coaches, so there was a queue of 30 minutes to be seated in the canteen. The food was adequate (however fruit salad was obviously of the cheap, tinned variety) but the waitresses had been taught to wipe the tables onto the floor, so there was a sea of crumbs to walk through before being seated. Really wasn't at all pleasant. The swimming pool was good - you need to take your own towel, or the one from your room or pay1.5 Euros to rent one of theirs. Parking was freely available (10euros per night - may be possibe to park in adjacent streets for nothing - they seemed safe and empty). We stayed 4 nights in two rooms in the modern part of the hotel - one room looked onto a wall of windows on the older part of the hotel, but a request to change was respected and we were moved to a room at the front. Air conditioning was inadequate. So, we had mixed feelings about this place. Since for some members of our party breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we weren't 100% happy. Read more

Hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the old town. This is very good because it is nice and quiet in the evenings. The pool is excellent and we had a "red stamp" so we can use the spa facilities anytime without charge. The staff (and just about all the Estonians) were very helpful in the extreme. We initially stayed 3 nights then 3 nights in Helsinki […] and back to the Meriton before going back to the UK. If you have a choice ask for a room on the 6th floor. These are much newer and has both bath and shower. As for the breakfast, this can be a bit of a bun fight and rather limited choice but adequate. Would I stay here again? Great location for visitng the historical sights. The brand new airport bus stops right outside the hotel. Well worth paying extra for unlimited spa access so I could go there each evening where they had excellent facilities. Breakfasts were great. A really good quality hotel with very attentive staff. Only had breakfast at the hotel but this was of a good quality and plentiful .The location is just outside the old town but the walk up a slight gradient takes only five to ten minutes at most and from our observations the quality of the Meriton seemed superior to those in the old town and has the […] added benefit of having an excellent spa and gym which we used on the morning that the weather was indifferent. We got a twin room and it was spacious and comfortable. The TV had BBC World and CNN as english language stations. The Spa and Pool with Saunas where excellent. We stayed for 3 nights in the Meriton Grand and would recommend it for a short break in Tallinn. It is slightly further from the Old Town than other options, but everything is still within easy walking distance (15 minutes to the Old Town Square / 5 minutes to Toompea). Strolling through the streets of Toompea and the Old Town is a key part of the Tallinn […] experience in any case. A key advantage this hotel has over its rivals is its pool and spa which are top notch. There are also several good restaurant choices in the hotel, and an excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms themselves are not as luxurious as the rest of the hotel but are clean and adequately furnished (think along the lines of one of the budget chains in this country). The bed was comfortable but could have done with a bigger duvet. At the price we paid (which included breakfast and all day entry to the spa) this was excellent value. Read more

The fitness and swimming / sauna was well maintained and very relaxing. The only let down we found for the hotel was the so called "hot breakfast". Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the receptionist even came out into the cold to explain to the taxi she booked for us about the detour we needed to take to pick up a friend.
