Very nice place, staff were friendly & professional at the same time. Breakfast was lame tho and plan on taking it back to your room as there's only the lobby to eat in (VERY few tables). I'd be happy to stay there again, but I'd bring some Poptarts or go out for breakfast.

I apparently ordered an accessible(handicapped) suite by accident. Needed a shower right away and the shower head was at my chest, very difficult to shower and also the suite had no couch which it was supposed to have. I asked the desk clerk 'Kay' if I could have another suite and was told i had to pay an upgrade fee. I reiterated that if i had ordered […] a handicapped suite it was an accident. The other desk clerk 'Patti' reminded Kay that i already was in a suite and didnt need to pay an upgrade fee. Then Kay asked if we had dirtied the room and that i would have to straighten it up or be charged another fee. Patti took me aside and assured me there would be no extra charge. Not at any point was i angry or pushy. I understood that i made a mistake but it was a simple and very easily solved mistake that was made into an ordeal. If u stay here, speak with Patti or Judy. Kay is a bitter cougar with a chip on her shoulder. Wont stay there again. Read more

Hotel was nicer than I had imagined for the price. Only problem was in handicapped shower - the shower curtain did not go all the way to the floor so the floor was flooded. Other than that, very comfortable stay.

Overall great.. Included breakfast was not very impressive but will do to keep you until lunch. Front desk staff were polite but not overly friendly. There was not a blow dryer in the room, but one was eventually located and delivered to the room.

We're college students, so a cheap hotel is a must. This was in our price range and I'm glad we picked it. Though the rooms are small, they have flat screen televisions and our room was extremely clean. The mattresses are comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well-appointed, good water pressure. The hotel is on its own little dead end street, so […] very quiet at night, but it is just a short drive away from downtown Bryson City and a lot of food options. The continental breakfast did not have bacon or sausage, which I tend to enjoy, but they did have a variety of bagels and cream cheeses that I loved, as well as coffee and juice. You can also make your own waffles. My one complaint about this hotel is that there was no pool. It was warm during our stay and I would have liked to swim. Read more

If you are looking for some peace and quiet away from it all, this Is the place to stay. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and not over crowded and the continental breakfast was even great! We will definetly stay here again:)

Overall, we were very pleased. The rooms were crisp, clean, and organized. Great hospitality. The employee's there were very friendly and eager to help with anything. There was a little mix up with sign in, but they quickly resolved the issue and upgraded us to another room. The next morning, my fiance and I got off to a later start that expected and […] unfortunately missed the complimentary breakfast. Upon checking out, we asked jokingly if they had any food left over. The lady there was so sweet about it. She went and pulled trays of pastries, muffins, and cereals out for us to choose from. the rooms were very clean except for mildew on the shower curtain and we did not have an iron or ironing board in the room. we had to go to the front desk to get one and they had to search for an ironing board. but overall the stay was comfortable and the free breakfast was wonderful and hotel staff was great. the rate we had was great.

We stayed here for one night after we rode the Polar Express. It was perfect. The room with a Queen Bed and a Queen pullout was great because it provided our family of 3 plenty of space! Hot Chocolate and Coffee are provided 24hrs and the breakfast was pretty good too! Will definitely go back next year!

My family stayed overnight at the Microtel Inn in Bryson City, NC after enjoying the Polar Express themed excursion with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. The Microtel definitely caters to families who are staying overnight after enjoying the ride, as The Polar Express movie was playing in the lobby when we entered. The lobby and room were clean; […] the staff were friendly; the continental breakfast was good and allowed us to immediately get out on the road towards home in the morning. I was worried that the inns "Pets Allowed" (for a fee) policy would result in a room that smelled of animals or would have pet hair/allergens. This was a very clean and well kept hotel. It is located in a very convent and quiet area out of the traffic. We interacted with the front desk as well as the housekeeping staff and all were very friendly and helpful.
