"Convenient Location but pretty much eyesore all ar"
Cleanliness was not great. I found a old sock probably the previous resident left (sic). Didnt avail much of the service. Has a pool but looks like its still to reach fully functional state. Nicely re-branded & remodeled hotel. Very good staff, & great value. Beds have some room for improvement on matress comfort level, and bathrooms in double queen rooms are small for 4 people to share. "Rude staff and terrible food"
The furnishings were cheesy. They still had the stickers covering the equipment from the last hotel chain (the Sheraton). We had breakfast ordered room service. They totally crewed up the order. We stayed there 8 nights. Was looking forward to using the pool, but they closed it the day we arrived (Sunday)for maintenence, did not open until the following (Saturday), disappointing but that really was no big deal.The only complaint about the hotel was one day we did not have maid service, went to front desk & the girl was super friendly apologizing. The hotel appears to be newly built. Everything was new, with quality materials, and very clean. Try as I might, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. The rear patio was great in the afternoon and evening for lounging. The fitness room had free weights (not easily found in hotels) and open 24hrs. Pool had been down for maintenance but was supposed to be back up before our stay. It was ready to go the day we checked out. Told front desk the website stated it should have been back up 3 days ago. Was told "the website is wrong". They also advertised a shuittle but this only runs when they have double desk coverage so don't plan on it being available. When I booked online it said to add in the comments if a mini fridge was needed, which is what I did. Then when I called the hotel directly to let them know we'd be late check in I told them that we would be needing a fridge and they said if they had one available when we checked in it would be put in our room. Well when we got to the hotel I again […] asked for the fridge and she said that it was going to be an extra $10 a day to have a fridge! No where did it talk about a fee or additional charge for the fridge. In the end we ended up getting one fee free so that was nice but such an ordeal before hand. I think we got great value for the price. Beds were very comfortable and the location was great, we had a great view of six flags. They had a great happy hour! I stayed in a Quality Inn the night before because all Hotels were sold out. The Quality Inn had bigger rooms with a sofa couch and the price was ½ less that the Wyndham. The Wyndham for being a high quality hotel needs to cater more to its guest for the price they charge. From entering the hotel to when we left, the staff (day & night) were very professional and curtious. We were also impressed with the quality of the bar and restaurant. Both the drinks and food were excellent. The room we had was large and comfortable.
