Mayafair Design Hotel - Cancun

I was surprised to be Yves Saint Laurent room. When they say design hotel they mean it.

Hotel was bad. Escalators and elevators were not working. Had to wait past check-in time for room to be ready. No baggage help. Had to ask for towels every day. I fixed their internet router. Water went out for 2 hours one morning. Asked for an iron and never got it. A Super 8 hotel has better service for the money paid.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the black comforter had white stains (soap or body fluids?), the spa services and other anemities listed as room service were not available, the one time I tried their continental breakfast they only had 6 mini muffins, milk, grapefruit juice and orange juice, as well as a few boxes of cereal and a loaf of white bread. I […] had one slice of white bread only to spit it out and want to vomit. It was stale and when I turned it around there was blue/black/green mold growing on it! I also asked the receptionist to walke me up at 6am as the room had no phone or alarm clock. He forgot! Thank GOD for cell phone alarms or I would have missed my tours!!!! The conditioner dispenser in the shower was out after the first day and never refilled. The tv had no remote! What is with that? The jacuzzi was broken/drained for most of my stay and the escalators to get to the hotel were off the 6 days I was there. Also, loud people were around and kept me awake! You have to walk a lot to get to decent food as well. It also has no view to the ocean. It is a ghetto hotel. NEVER AGAIN!!! Read more

everything is about to fall apart. everything is outdated, broken, not painted, if painted it is very low quality like in getto, ventilation 0, smell horrible, all furniture looks like from garbage halve broken, to say that it is in poor condition it is to give a compliment. Very good location with short walking destance to central tourist locations. The hotel has a nice and special wildforest feel with open room soulution so bathroom and living rom is in one, wery cool for you and your wife but maybe not so for a family that like a closed bathroom. Probably the cheapest hotel you can find so close to tourist centrum

You should delete this hotel from your site! It was not at all like it was advwertised.. Located in an old mall, with escalators that did not work and many staris to climb. The room was a square box, with no sep.arate bathroom, so the toilet and shower stall (no bath tub) were just in c orners with a waist high partition. This is the worst hotel that I ever met. To start it ins't an hotel, it was an Shopping Mall that turned an hotel. The room are the old shops... The escalator was broken, as well as the AC at the lobby. And there's no ELEVATOR and no STAFF to carry you luggage. It's a bad experience.

Efter besökt många hotell i området så får detta ett mycket bra betyg både prismässigt och hög standard, sköna stora sängar. Frukosten kan man dok hoppa över, bättre att äta ute då det finns många bra ställen att äta på och inte dyrt.

Je déconseille fortement cette hôtel. La réservation sur internet précisait une chambre double avec 1 lit king size et un lit double. Arrivée sur place nous avons eu un drôle de sentiment. L'endroit ressemble beaucoup plus a une galerie commerciale abandonnée qu'a une charmant hotel de bord de mer. Notre hôte n'étant pas des plus efficace, ni des plus […] accueillant nous dirige nonchalamment vers une première chambre avec un seul lit. Après négociation nous avons du payer un supplément pour avoir la chambre réservée. Resultat : une chambre certes propre avec deux lits king size très confortables mais dans laquelle règne une forte odeur d'humidité...Logique la chambre est dépourvue de fenêtre ainsi que de porte pour séparer les toilettes du reste de la chambre. Das Mayafair Design Hotel wirkt individuell und charmant. Wir mochten das Design des großen Zimmers und fanden es witzig, dass das Bad ins Zimmer integriert war. Das ist nicht jedermanns Sache, daher ist es gut, wenn man das vor der Buchung weiß. Das Hotel hat leider keinen eigenen Strand, aber wir sind an die schönen Hotelstrände der großen Hotels […] am Meer auf der anderen Straßenseite gegangen. Der öffentliche Strand (1 km) entfernt hat uns nicht gut gefallen. Wir waren 2 Tage im Mayafair (und sind von dort weiter die Küste runter gereist) und würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder für den Preis buchen. Read more
