5 min walk to the metro. And 10-15 min walk to Shinjuku. All in all. Great price and perfect location. And the room is pretty big as well!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is great, specially for that price. The location is nice, close to the subway. Really good find if you want to stay in ShinjukuGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Six day stay -- very pleasant and great value!"
A terrific hotel and experience for the price. The concierge staff was very helpful with providing suggestions of places to eat -- drawing clear maps and providing good directions -- and also calling taxis and helping tell taxi drivers where we were headed. The location is enjoyable with many good places to eat in easy walking distance, including terrific […] coffee (charcoal roasted and regular, from top growers) at a Kohi Kan nearby. "Nice and clean"
Last leg of our trip in Japan. Nice to stay in a studio and see what living in Japan would be like. Clean and tidy. Close to Shinjuku station. Right down the street from 7-11 . Employees were friendly, helpful and courteous. Would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Place To Stay"
We went to Japan for tsunami relief work and had a few days at the end of the trip to explore Tokyo. We knew nothing about the city and booked this hotel based on comments we viewed on the Hotels.com site. We loved this place! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well setup with features such as a sliding TV on […] the wall, movable walls to personalize the space, dimmers on the light switches, and a full size bathtub... believe me you will appreciate this after spending time at other places in Japan. This was way more than we expected for the price. We are definitely booking this hotel the next time we come to Tokyo regardless of the price. Note: all hotel staff speak English and are happy to help you with directions and recommendations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great place to stay. Good location, very helpful staff, very nice rooms (but small by western standards)Genuine Expedia guest review
Only got to stay one night because they were full but was the best of four hotels I stayed during my ten days in Japan. Would have liked to stay there four my entire four day stay in TokyoGenuine Hotels.com guest review
""Non-smoking room" reservation: Not really"
We specified a non-smoking room for our stay during the reservation process through Expedia. When we arrived, after a long day of traveling, we were simply told that they no longer had any non-smoking rooms available and that our smoking room was available. This seems to be not too uncommon in Japan but it was still an issue for us, particularly my […] girlfriend. We looked at other options but since we booked through Expedia, canceling the reservation after check-in wasn't really an option - something I'm sure the hotel understood. After much back-and-forth with the front desk clerk and his manager, they agreed to put us in a non-smoking room with two single beds, instead of the non-smoking double that we had booked. Overall, for the romantic vacation that we were excited to have, this was not an ideal plan B, but it worked. And I do give the staff credit for trying to make our stay pleasant in every other way - other than not giving us the room we booked in the first place. The hotel is comfortable and in a relatively quiet neighborhood, just a short distance from the craziness of Shinjuku. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Our stay in Japan"
We stayed in two location in Japan at two separate hotels. We enjoyed the location and quality of Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo and plan to stay there again on our next trip. We actually preferred it over the Hyatt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cosy, wonderful staff"
A very small, but cosy, well-equipped room complete with microwave and stove. And the best part? The wonderful, helpful staff. The only (very small) negative....instant coffee instead of a coffee maker and "real" coffee. Other than that...next time we're in Tokyo....we're staying there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Citadines Shinjuku /Tokyo"
Great room. So nice to have a kitchen area. Exceptionally helpful staff. Walking distance to subway (metro). Be sure to ask which subway exit has an elevator if you are arriving with luggage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved the staff. Price was great. Neighborhood is VERY close to a lot of things but the hotel tucked away just where the neighborhood quiets down. Would def recommend to others and would stay again in a heartbeat!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Citidines, Shinjuku - well located, great value"
This well appointed facility is an easy 15 minute walk from the Shinjuku subway and train station. Good neighborhood with all facilities at the Shinjuku hub. The Narita Express stops at Shinjuku. We took the JR train from the Haneda Airport without difficulty. Free WiFi in the lobby. We did not have any meals at the hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff. […] Highly recommend staying here. Good hotel. Close to Shinjuku station. Easy access to metro, shopping, food, etc. 7 eleven right next door. Only setback is no wireless in the rooms. Must use it free in the lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great base to explore Tokyo"
This place was ideal for our 5 night stay in Tokyo. The metro is truly the heart of the city and the only way to properly explore and there is a station exit within a 5 minute walk of the Citadines Shinjuku (note - not the main Shinjuku stop). The Apartment suited us perfectly as the kitchenette meant we could make some toast/cook simple items to balance […] things in between sampling Tokyo's many delights. To walk to Shinjuku station (in the heart) takes 10-15 mins and Shinjuku us a great central place to explore Tokyo. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Simple but good"
The hotel is conveniently located just 2 subway stops from Shinjuku station on a main street. The area behind the hotel has small streets full of restaurants. The hotel is simple but clean. This is the second time we have stayed at the Citadines Hotel. It is a great hotel with a large room and everything you need. It is about a 20minute walk to the main train station - Shinjuku. The walk is easy though (one straight street) and is full of shops, cafes and restaurants along the street. There is a closer train station (2minute walk) Shinjuku […] gyoenmae station which is one stop from the main station Shinjuku if you don't want to walk and only costs 170 yen. If you want an apartment style, larger room-like hotel than this is great but if you want to be really in the heart of the city I would book somewhere closer to it. A very pleasant stay though. "Nice and comfortable hotel"
My family and I stayed 4 night at the hotel. The staff is friendly , we have two rooms to be next to each other when we request for it. The twin bed room is comfortable. We like the small kitchen and utensils which are provided in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good accommodation for short stay in Tokyo."
Contrary to some reviews, this hotel is close to an underground station - merely a few blocks away. Those who have remarked negatively on its proximity to transport have probably used Shinjuku railway station as their primary reference. However, the nearest underground point to the hotel is located on the Marunouchi line, a major artery that provides […] ready access to Shinjuku (two stations away) as well as central Tokyo etc. The staff were helpful - and having noticed my partner's birthdate when confirming our check-in, even went to the trouble of writing a greeting which was left in our room with a sweet treat on his birthday, the day after our arrival. "Perfect hotel for a small young family"

"Excellent excellent excellent"
Nice and comfortable room. Convenient location. Nice staffs. They even left a note and cookies as a happy birthday treat for my 5 yr old son. "Perfect for Shinjuku Gardents"
My wife and I stayed here for one night as we prepared to depart back to Toronto on a lay-over, but wanted to get to see Shinjuku gardens for the Cherry Blossom Season. You are about a five minute walk from the edge of Shinjuku if you want to experience the bars and restaraunts which the area has to offer, and the same amount of time to walk to Shinjuku […] Gardens (which are magnificent). The hotel itself was relatively compact (which is probably normal for Tokyo) and the rooms are clean, although unspectacular. We had a room with a little kitchenette and slightly separate living area, which was fine but we didn't use any of it. Staff were friendly, all spoke English and were helpful with ideas on where to eat. All in all, pretty good location and a short taxi ride from Shinjuku station. "Spacious Hotel Room with Hairdryer"
Stayed at this Hotel for the last two nights of a two week trip to Japan. The location in great as it is only about a 15 minute walk to the train station area where all the main night life and shops are located. If you're not keen on walking you can always get a taxi at a reasonable price, we paid 1000 yen for a taxi from the train station to the hotel. For […] the ladies out there (and any well groomed men) there is a hairdryer provided in the room. It doesn't say this on their website but they do provide one and it's decent. I don't know about you but my happiness is very sadly dictated by having a good or bad hair day! Another great thing about this hotel is that the rooms have a good amount of space, even a little kitchen area. Our other hotel in Tokyo may have been closer to the train station but it wasn't nearly as comfortable. Hope this helps and enjoy you're trip to Japan. "Very decent size for Japan"
The room we stayed in was quite larger than expected. We had a kitchen and a sofa lounge. It was quite clean and spacious especially for accommodation in Japan. Was very comfortable - couldn't find a fault in the room. "Big rooms in modern hotel in Shinjuku"
We love the Shinjuku area of Tokyo and would definitely stay in this hotel again because of the location and the hotel amenities. The rooms were a good size with useful facilities such as a small kitchenette (microwave, hotplate, fridge, sink) small dining table and chairs. the rooms were clean. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. There is a […] dining area in the hotel for breakfast (charge incurred) but we did not use this as there are many restaurants and eateries nearby, plus convenience stores. "Great stay with baby"
We stayed at Citadines Shinjuku for 8 days, used it as our base in Tokyo. We chose Citadines because we wanted a kitchen to cook our 10months old baby's food and prepare milk and so on which would have been hard to do in a conventional hotel. The stay was lovely and the facility was great - it had everything we needed including coin laundry and 24hr […] supermarket locally which was very helpful as well as pharmacy down the road which was great for baby stuff. 20mins walk with buggy to Shinjuku station which was a bit far but a lovely walk in the morning and if you wanted to, local underground station is 5mins walk. all in all, highly recommended for young family. "Simple, Clean and Affordable"
We stayed as a family in 2 rooms. The facilities were fine, the rooms clean and staff polite. The only problems were that the water pressure on the seventh floor room was very low. Clean and spacious especially for Tokyo. Lovely staff who wrote a note on one of the guests birthday. Only slight negativity was a male staff who checked us in at night. "Great staff, adequately sized rooms."
Great staff make this hotel better than the average, and very well appointed rooms don't do any harm either. "Convenient location and large room"
Very nice stay at Citadines. The room is large for a Japanese hotel, the location is great at 15mn walk from Shinjuku center and 5 from a metro station. It was a little noisy so beware if you are a light sleeper but overall, it was a very good place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

Would definitely recommend this hotel/apartments - rooms were of a adequate size for two of us. I shared a standard twin room and it was a snug room but by no means pokey. Brilliant hotel with really large rooms in comparison with what you can usually get in Tokyo. Staff were very friendly and could speak English well. "Great hotel in Tokyo - Shinjuku"
My husband and I stayed at the Citadines for four nights. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a kitchenette which was a big bonus for us. The staff were helpful and polite at all times. The hotel was walking distance to most places and the subway was very close. The bus from the airport drops you off at the Shinjuku station and you […] need to get a taxi from there or walk, it is about 20 minutes away. The only concern we had was that the hotel does not really advise on the best way to get to the hotel. We paid a lot for the taxi and the driver did not seem to know where the hotel was. If we had been given more information from the hotel we could have caught the bus which stops right outside or even walked. A really nice place to stay would go back there again.
