Howard Johnson Inn Hershey - Hershey

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while going to Hershey Park. It was close to the park. We then did some shopping in Lancaster, PA which was only about 40 min away. The hotel was newly remodeled. I was impressed with the bathrooms. No complaints here! I would stay there again!

I woke with an extreme backache the first morning we were there. The beds are like sleeping on a rock. They are in very dire need of replacement. The furnishings are all very dated. The hotel was a great choice for us. However, the restaurant was not. The menu in the room had incorrect prices as did the menu posted outside the restaurant. Portions were small and tasteless. Overall the hotel was a great value for the price but the restaurant was anything but!

I went to take a shower and there was big black hairs all over the walls. Very gross. Also the blankets and sheets could be way more nice. Scratchy and uncomfortable. The breakfast offered was severely lacking- one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have ever had.

Went in February so renting a room was really cheap. Its so close to the Hershey attractions. Chocolate world and Hershey story are open year round and crowds are at a minimum. Its a great time to go. The staff is very accmodating and kind. I honestly could not have been happier with our stay.

My stay at the Howard Johnson in Hershey was very much worth it in terms of location and price. Our room was a decent size and the same quality you expect from hotels that charge twice as much. There was a flat screen on the wall, mini fridge, nice shower, comfortable beds, gym, decent restaurant with bar, and continental breakfast. The only downfall […] was that the doors of the hotel are never locked and do not require your room card to access them. My friend and I arrived late after the hockey game we attended and were able to waltz right in. While each room required a key, it was uncomfortable to know that literally anyone could be trolling the halls. Other than that one concern, I would recommend this hotel based on bang for the buck. This is our second stay at the hotel. My daughter competes in a gymnastics tournament and this saves us the early morning 120 mile commute. First off, this hotel is ideal if you are visiting Hershey Park and want to stay the night. After saying that, be prepared that the rooms are old and basically outdated. It's a Howard Johnson so don't expect the Ritz. The price is affordable so if you are on a budget, this is a good bet.
