Very nice place. A bit if a distance from the Palmer Event Center but only about 15-20 minutes drive for an early morning Sunday. Hotel Personnel all very friendly and attentive, and accommodated a request for a first floor room. No free breakfast but I knew that going in and wouldn't have had time for it in the morning anyway. "Nice enough room, brick for a mattress"
The hotel itself is fairly nice and the rooms seem nicely appointed; however, the first room they sent us to upon arrival smelled musty and was right by the elevator, which seemed odd considering the hotel was not very full (or didn't appear to be). "Comfortable rest for a chaotic weekend"
The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the restroom was a nice upgrade to other hotels that claim to be a bit more classy. "Great hotel if you plan to eat somewhere else"
The food was not very good. The menu was limited and expensive for what it was. The hotel and the room were nice, but the food service was definitely lacking. Most hotels in that area provide food at happy hour and free breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review

First of all, I would like to apoligize for the fact that your stay did not meet your expectations. The food service here at the hotel is actually Marriott standard and unfortunatley the food choices nor the prices are set by anybody here at the property. In addition, the Courtyard brand offers a variety of healthy food options that are made to order off of the menu as opposed to a continental style breakfast that is generally complimentary at other Marriott products. Being that we are located directly off of IH-35, which is one of the main corridors through Austin, traffic is generally the only barrier to getting around. We do offer a complimentary shuttle service Monday - Friday that travels within a 5 mile radius and takes guests to several of the North Austin hotspots for food and entertainment. Again, I am very sorry that your expectations were not met during your stay with us but, I do hope this response clears a little bit of that up. Should you need anything else, please do not hesitate to contact a team member at the hotel!

The ice machine on one of the floors was recently serviced due to the fact that it was not making ice. At anytime, you can call the front desk and we can deliver ice or most anything else to you for that matter. We are here to ensure that you have a great stay and want to come back. We are also currently working on getting refrigerators and microwaves in the entire hotel. At this time we have them available upon request. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. My kids enjoyed the pool because it was inside and it wasn't so hot and we enjoyed the hot spa. We got a great deal on this last minute weekend getaway. Hotel is located on I-35 and not what I consider the best location. I prefer the quieter Domain or Arboretum area. Had an awesome time at this Courtyard! Hotel was updated/fairly new and very clean. Check-in was the fastest I've ever experienced and the lady was extremely friendly! Room was very clean and quiet. "Clean rooms, safe area, nothing worked!"
Honestly, it was very disappointed considering this was a Marriott. My family and I were on an extended vacation/ house hunting trip. This was a 3 day stop for us which happened to be in the middle of our trip. Everything was broken. The ice machine did not work on our floor, but the staff did move us to a floor that had a working ice machine after […] several requests. There are only 2 washers and dryers for the entire hotel and the are both located on one floor. Both washers were broken our entire stay. We had to lug all if our laundry to the next hotel to do laundry and sit there 3 hours while it was being done. This was not fun considering we had a small child with us. The staff seemed very rude and made us feel Like we shouldn't complain because we already received a good deal from Expedia. If you are lookin for a 1 or 2 star hotel then I say stay here. The check-in was easy, the staff was great with every encounter, the rooms were large, comfortable and I loved the shades that could make the room completely dark, even on a bright day. There were some comments about the noise level due to the proximity to the freeway, but honestly this was not an issue for me. We had a great stay. It was perfect for our family's vacation. I really loved that the fitness room overlooks the pool so while I was working out I could watch my kids and husband playing. Even though we were doing different things at the time, I still felt like we were "together". The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. Being that we are a branded hotel, we do have to stay within the brand requirements for something and unfortunately mattresses are one of those items. Marriott tries to provide mattresses that are in the middle when it comes to how firm or soft they are. I definitely understand though where you are coming from.
