The hotel is well located and serviced with restaurants and recreation. The rooms are basic but do provide all that you would expect. There is a overhead walk way that leads into town and we had waterfront access to a great area to stretch our legs on. Hotel in a good spot on the waterfront, only a few minutes walk into town. The hotel restaurant menu is a bit limited but there are plenty of good places nearby, both on the waterfront and in town. The hotel staff, like most people we encountered in Darwin, were very friendly and welcoming.

Hotel was central to all that we wanted to do, however the hotel room was not to my liking. Room was odd shape and so far away from the lifts. Air conditioner vents blew directly over the bed, making it quite cold. Would not want this room again, but would stay again if offered a better room.

My husband and I are in our fifties and just loved the Hotel the surrounding areas, sights, restauraunts and entertainment, the service was above average,very clean the location wonderful, the only quibble I might have is that I thought the beds were quite Hard but overall very good we will be definately staying again

keep us waiting too long to check in. Should have free parking if stay in the hotel. Now we need to pay $10 per day. The carpet in the hallway was not perfectly laid, easy to fall down . So far the hotel is quite good to stay.

Have stayed at the Vibe before and this time found the general cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms was not quite up to previous standards. Really nice modern hotel. Close to most Darwin attractions, and the lagoon. Good number of very close bars and restaurants. Nice pool and pool bar. Would be nice to have had free wifi in the rooms (time limited wifi available in the foyer), and to have recycling facilities in the room. Friendly staff, about $30 taxi from the hotel.

The Waterfront location is a highlight of this hotel. Proximity to the wave pool, waterfront reserve, the lagoon, a range of high quality restaurants and Stokes Hill Wharf made it easy for us to enjoy ourselves in Darwin. The walkway to the town centre was part of the hotel, so we could walk into town in 10 minutes (although it was really hot). Disappointing that we were unable to either have discount being Territorians and / or unable to use our frequent flyer points when on system. We were told due to the wrong type of website! So called compensated by late checkout which we did not require! Also prebooked - rang directly enquiring about parking - offered a car park access (aka key) and […] when we arrived keys were said to be all gone ! Was a hassle to leave Level 6 (was not explained or signed very well ) Next morning to get out - the car park system was not working as described - then there was nil cash left at reception for refund so had to be debited to our card ! Facilities and look of the hotel including location is great. However, the service was very disappointing. Staff at reception were very unfriendly, unwelcoming and unprofessional. Had to wait a long time in the afternoon until our room was ready but that was not communicated to us, we just sat there waiting and noone would update us or tell us to go […] have a coffee and apologise for the delay. Once in the room, we found leftover food and milk from the previous guest in the fridge. Also we requested a twin share which we did not get even though it was confirmed at reception. Then, out of the blue another random guest entered our room - he got given the same room key by reception! Staff were not apologetic about this and the Assistant Hotel Manager later tried to blame it on the fact that their Housekeeping staff is outsourced, which really had nothing to do with anything. Also, I had to explain my story 3 times to staff because no one bothered to complete an incident report. No body really cared. It was a very disappointing stay and i would not recommend anybody to stay there (had a similar experience at Vibe Surfers Paradise as well). Read more

Vibe Hotels charged an extra $100 to my credit card and have not responded to my request for an explanation as to why. I was willing to overlook the haphazard service (including almost throwing away a phone charger) but this is unacceptable.

I regularly stay at the Vibe during business travel via Darwin. I like the location of the hotel as its situated away from the hustle and bustle of Mitchell St particularly the late night venues which tend get a bit noisy if you're staying in hotels nearby. Easy access to wave pool, docks etc. Hotel is new and well maintained, staff are helpful.

The only negative with my stay was the receptionist (young french lady). My online booking requested for two single beds. Without reading the request, we were provided a room consisting of one queen bed. Again on departure, I had left with the vehicle swipe card. When I rang and spoke to same receptionist, I asked for Vibes physical address, Lost in […] translation, she provided me with the email address. I asked to speak to and English speaking colleague, she disregarded my request and became quite terse. I am also employed in service industry and found her behaviour totally unprofessional. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great staff, very friendly and professional. The room was lovely! 2nd time we have stayed there. The only gripe I have is that the pool area was littered with empty glasses and used towels from other guests, 2 staff on at the bar there and neither came and collected the glasses in the 45 mins I was swimming.

The Hotel was in a really good location on the new Darwin Waterfront with the skybridge to town only minutes walk away. The only slight dissapointment was during heavy rain there was no bar to sit at you had to sit in the cafe where they were serving meals. If you sat outside the rain would drip on you. No bar to sit inside.

Loved the location, particularly the view. Not sure about the other side of the hotel - view wouldn't be so good. Bed was very comfortable. The lifts are amazing - no waiting! Gym and pool are small but adequate, and the recliners are comfortable at the pool. Good to have the four internet access terminals as well as the broadband connection in the […] rooms. Not all of us travel with our lap tops, so it's good to have the option. Plus, having the printers with the terminals means you can print boarding passes etc. The wave pool(small charge) and lagoon are right outside the door amid beautiful parkland. This is very comfortable hotel, nicely located at Darwin's waterfront area, with an easy walking bridge connection to Darwin's centre. Great air con - you need it in Darwin and all expected of a 4* place. Restaurant coulld have been better, but there are other's nearby to try.

I have travelled with work all over the world - this hotel was good - it has a good "vibe" but I think it is overpriced for what it is. Its internet service is inadequate and unreliable and does nothing to support the aim of the hotel in being a "quality hotel". Location is good, staff friendly (some a little curt maybe) and cleanliness excellent - […] bar brilliant as is the dipping pool and gym. I would consider staying here again if I could obtain a deal - but as standard rates go there are far better hotels in town that are better value/greater comfort and more central location. I always Ove staying at the vibe. It's close to the city centre, attentive staff and great food. The rooms are not super big but enough to be comfortable. The gym had 2 treadmills and 2 cross trainers along with plenty of free weights and the pool is divine.

You never know what to expect when you book online BUT I was NOT DISAPPOINTED with the Medina Vibe. Lovely Hotel, friendly staff, great facilities and beautiful location right on the harbour and lots of places to eat and drink. We will be back in next year and would definately stay at the Medina Vibe Darwin.

over all very nice hotel, 5 or 10 min walk from city mall, night time eating just a stroll away. would suit young familys who love water!! staff very good(knew me by name after couple days). only 2 things let the hotel down..... car parking, $$$$$$$$$$ per day in a carpark that was never more than 25% full. plus not enough cards for guests. in house […] TV and movies........... not that i was in my room alot, but when i was paytv channels are only sky news and music max. in house movies were pay per view or 24 hours access for a high price. This hotel has a lovely outlook and in a very good location - only a short walk across the bridge to town but you feel like you are away from the city. Great gym facilities, good swimming pool. Cafe and inhouse dining leaves a bit to be desired and air conditioning does not always work.

Arrival - no parking resulted in $33 parking fee in the multistory (very little street parking available) First night - no movie channel. Called reception 3 times - no one did anything. Room service - did not replace tea/sugar or mini bar. Towels not renewed, floor not vaccumed surfaces not wiped. Basically just the sheet pulled up. In room dining - […] dessert was good but Food arrived uncovered and the order was not correct - again no apology or speedy correction. Next night - duty manager makes it to the room to check the movie channel but is unable to offer a fix or apology. Checkout - unable to provide an itemized bill and quite confused as to what that might be. They do have a laundry facility which was good, and so is the view, but we wont be back to try it as Darwin is full of hotels which offer excellent service & genuine staff. Read more

Very pleased with the Hotel. Every night we would walk over to Stokes Wharf (which is at the back of Vibe) and have a great seafood meal. Cost between $11 - 15.00. The position of the Hotel is lovely with gardens at the back and a big wave pool - excellent for children. There is a Skywalk lift on the ground floor which goes up 5 floors and you can walk […] along that straight into Darwin City. A few steps at the end but there is also a lift a well. Only takes a few minutes to walk in to Darwin CBD. As the Hotel is only 1 year old, all the rooms are modern and bright. Good quality bedding. We got good value for our money. Read more

The Vibe is a new, modern hotel set in Darwin's redeveloping waterfront area. I'll be brief and just say, I really enjoyed the hotel after staying in a Vibe hotel before. The bed was extremely comfy, TV was good except the constant stutter on channel Ten. Bit dusty in the corner, even had a cobweb in one corner of the room. Great value for money just a walk away from the city center. The reception staff were very helpful and courteous. We could hear noises from the other rooms every night, especially early hours of the morning, banging noises which kept us up, obviously the walls are not very sound proof. There are two hotels in one, the Medena Vibe and the Vibe. The Medina […] Vibe offers bigger room with balconies facing the habour view, The Vibe have smaller room., a few face the harbour side with no balconies, but the majority face the back with no view.
