Five Gables Inn and Spa - Eastern Chesapeake Shore

We loved our night at Five Gables. The room had a gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and lovely decor. I didn't use the spa services, but liked the steam room. We walked to the pub at Inn at Perry Cabin for a fireside dinner, though it was a hard choice between it and 208 Talbot. The next morning we drove to BWI, an easy commute against traffic. My husband and I stayed at Five Gables for Valentine's Day, and it was excellent! The suite was beautiful and relaxing; everything about it encouraged us to take it easy. The only thing I didn't like was a comment by the receptionist at checkin. We have a 6 month old and the receptionist made it known that our reservation never would been accepted if […] we'd tried to book direct with them. Five Gables doesn't accept reservations including children under the age of twelve. I felt that the comment was unnecessary, completely inappropriate, and just down right rude. Our experience was the best! It truly Was a greater experience than some of the hotels we have ever stayed. The services was excellent, the food was great, and the overall atmosphere was the epitome of romance and warmth. We will DEFINITLY be back!

We liked everything about the 5 Gables. The rooms are decorated very nicely, the bed was very comfortable. the bathroom was modern even had a small fridge.The hotel is centrally located so even though the weather was extremely hot; we took short walks and saw what we wanted.Romantic

The Five Gables Bed & Breakfast was nice. The room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was a little dated, some caulk in the bathtub area that needed replacing and not that "I'd take a bath" feeling, we just used it for showering. It also had a little bit of a mildew smell in the whole room. Overall though, it was a nice place, close to […] everything. Also, the breakfast isn't at the hotel, it's across the street at another building. It's a continental breakfast. Good though, everything was yummy but if your looking for pancakes and bacon, you would have to go out. Nice ementities too, small pool, bikes to ride, sauna, steamroom and our balcony had 2 nice adirondack chairs to relax on. I would go back to Five Gables. Read more

The hotel room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a large jetted tub and was roomy. The shower had lots of shower heads including body jets but was very small. We went for a little getaway and can not speak highly enough of the Five gables. We have been other four and five star accomodations this can compete with any of them. The room was extremely well done and made for a cozy and more than comfortable time.

Nice b&b, VERY conveniently located .... we had a king on the bottom floor. The hallways were kind of loud during the day but we enjoyed a very quiet comfortable evening. Cute indoor pool area, nice spa services. Good value, we'd stay again. Oh, and we enjoyed use of the bicycles. Perfect for St. Michaels ! We did not stay for breakfast.

The staff was very courteous and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. I would definetely recommend this bed and breakfast to my friends and family. The Spa was delightful and they made our spa date special for us. All of the restaurants around were great as well. And there is plenty to see and do. We'll be back!.

Five Gables was a great place to stay for our quick one year anniversary get-away to St. Michaels. The staff was really nice & helpful, the room was beautiful and had an awesome balcony, and the pool/sauna/steamroom was a great amenity.

Great location on the main strip, thought the street behind it looked a little bit 'hood. Odd for St. Michaels. Probably a better place to go once they're up and running for the year. Cute breakfast room. Overall, superfically very nice, but lacking on the little details. Perfect when I didn't have my glasses on! -Sauna didn't get hot enough. -Hot […] tub in room didn't work. -No screen door = occasional bugs. -No bikes (not taken out for the season yet, even though it was a gorgeous spring weekend). -Slightly leaky shower, dusty corners. -Only one night stand. I'd come back, but not at those prices (which were off-season). None of the stuff was a dealbreaker or made it a bad stay (though the hot tub was a bummer), and the room was nicely appointed. I would recommend it to others, though. Just manage your expectations. Read more
