"Great hotel next to Metro station."
Surprised it was right at exit/entrance of Metro so great with luggage. Staff let us check in early. Serve Starbucks so I was able to get my favorite drink.Genuine Expedia guest review
Bathroom was SUPER clean! Beds were extremely comfortable! Right next to the metro. We had a small problem getting them to recognize our included breakfast, but Hotels.com fixed it quickly. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to other people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good base for college visits and city sites"
Pleasantly surprised at the size of our room and bath. Very clean, very convenient. Felt very safe (some other reviewers expressed concern), even when returning in the evening. Next to Au Bon Pain which was open early in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you arrive in DC via Union Station, its a perfect location, easy access to the Metro to and from Union Station and to the National Mall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay and experience"
Loved the proximity of the hotel to Union Station. Couldn't be better. Metro Station practically outside thedoor. Friendly, capable and courteous ser vice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Pool and gym facilities top notch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Metro, comfy beds, funny smell"
Stayed here with my spouse and son for three nights. Great location for Metro access, but there aren't many good restaurants in the immediate area. The room smelled a little musty, probably due to the AC. That said, I would probably stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a great time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel was OK I guess"
Well there isn't any continental breakfast, which was advertised. The pool was pretty small, and extremely salty which isn't normal I'm pretty sure. The "parking," which honestly was the main draw, was $33/night valet only. They probably should mention that. Overall I will say that the staff was friendly and nice, the room was very clean and VERY large. […] There are a TON of TV channels, which I didn't really watch, but good to have on the days that you want it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
the front desk staff was not particularly friendly; the valet and concierge staff were friendly and helpful, however; hotel is conveniently located quite close to the NoMa metroGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place But Some Whacky Requirement"
I checked in at 9:45 pm. The hotel staff and the hotel itself were top notch. BUT, having to sign a document that fines one up to $500 for making noise was bizarre and offputting, to say the least. And when the clerk at the check-in desk could not tell me why the procedure was in place I thought to myself "boy, this promises to be some stay". However, […] all was fine! Nevertheless, one is owed an explanation for such a whacky and peculiar requirement. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great base for DC trip"
Best part was the location practically right outside the NoMa-Gallaudet metro stop...room was spacious and clean...great wifi and having the business center was nice to be able to print out some stuff...staff were very efficient and friendly...not much in the immediate surroundings of the hotel other than a 7-eleven and a Five Guys Burgers though...otherwise, […] a great choice for traveling in DC! "Good location near Union Station, area improving"
Hotel is modern and well-maintained. Very convenient to the NoMa/Gallaudet Metro. Neighborhood is developing, but many restaurants seem oriented toward the lunchtime crowd. Nearby 5 Guys and Harris Teeter are pluses.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, close to Metro"
I'm disabled and this hotel was perfect for my needs. The room and bathroom were roomy enough for me to get around with my power chair. The staff(all of them) were helpful and very friendly. The Metro station is right by the hotel so that was very convenient. My husband and I would stay here again for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel close to the metro."
Whenever I need to get away or have friends or family come to town, I recommend them to stay there. Not only is it located a few steps away from the metro, but there is a Harris Teeter, Five Guys, and a few other places to eat nearby. The pool is saltwater and warm so it makes swimming enjoyable, the gym is nicely equipped. Checking in / out is very […] easy and doesnt take very long at all. The hotel room it self comes with a king bed and a sofa couch, fridge, and plenty of room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Easy access for Red Line"
I spent a week at this hotel during June 2013, 3 days on business and 4 with my son on a grand tour of DC. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice. I only had a couple complaints one was actually the reason I had chosen it...it's close to the metro. The problem was my window overlooked the rail lines coming into Union Station. Consequently even […] with very good sound insulation, you still hear the trains at night. The other issue was that I had been told that breakfast was included but Marriott decided that they would no longer include it at Courtyard. You will find that the hotel is strange in that the lobby is on the second floor. The first floor has a guard. There is a 7-11 next door, 5 Guys burgers across the street and an Indian place connected to the hotel. I must say that the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean every day. I would recommend it again if I could get a room on the other side of the hotel away from the rails. I tend to be a light sleeper so that was a bit annoying. Otherwise, it's a great spot for a vacation hotel if you want to do DC. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel fit all our needs with nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, a nice breakfast offering, washing machine/dryer and most of all it's close proximity to a Metro station with only one stop away from Union Station. The location made it so easy to use the subway to get anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely stay there again when in DC.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The best hotel stay"
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It has the best breakfast and dinner you will ever eat. The waiter and waitress was so nice and they gave you suggestions on what to order. They do have Starbucks coffee for all the coffee lovers. We ate the bistro every night we was there the food was amazing. The spinach dip was the best I have ever had, […] the flat breads was great also. We will defiantly be back and we will stay at this hotel again. I would recommend this hotel. It does have valet parking but it is definitely worth it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"OK digs in D.C Just OK tho."
The hotel is in a good location if you're in D.C. to lobby Congress. Luckily it's next to Metro so getting around is easy, it's not luxe in any way and the surrounding neighborhood looks like it might be dicy, lots of new construction going on.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Courtyard in a brand-new neighborhood"
The Courtyard is a fairly new building, no older than five years, I'd say. The reason for that is the neighborhood it's in. For those of you familiar with Washington DC who haven't been back behind Union Station in a while, take another look. This was a truly scary part of town (and I'm from The Bronx). Just five years ago the Greyhound Station was […] located in this part of town. And is often the case, where the bus station lies, so does crime, drugs, panhandling and prostitution. I haven't been over there since dropping a friend at the bus station--and then waiting with her until she was safely on the bus--some six years ago. But since then, Washington DC officials have engineered a brand new neighborhood consisting of highrise apartments, tech companies and (under construction) NPRs new headquarters. Anchored at one end by Union Station and at the other by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' new headquarters, the neighborhood is clean and safe. The only downside is since it is so new, the variety of restaurants is lacking, although if I'd have counted, I'd say there were close to a dozen, including the ubiquitous Starbucks. The hotel itself was very nice. Clean and neat with large rooms. The staff was VERY friendly. And, the price was good. Take this from someone who generally spends between 75 and 100 nights away from home each year. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient spot in DC"
We stayed here for 2 nights - the hotel is 1 stop from Union Station and a 10 - 15 minute walk to H street and all of the wonderful restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. Some people complained that the area was rough - it's urban, if you don't like the diversity off the city you should stay in the burbs. My family loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok stay for business"
Staff was very very pleasant. Breakfast at the Bistro in the morning was a bit confusing. Order at the counter. Meal was brought out later. Hotel will be much nicer once the construction is completed. It is nearly impossible to get to the hotel from NY Avenue.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient for metro use"
Hotel 1 station away from Union station and itself not even 1 block from the train station. Only thing was this train station does not open until 7 on weekends and if you have a conference session starting at that time, you might want to book a cab or you will miss it. Otherwise, a perfect price and location. Friendly staff. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while in DC for the Nike Women's Marathon. Got a great deal from Hotels.com. Everything was superb, and the metro is right outside the hotel, so you can get to the heart of DC in a matter of seconds for really cheap!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, great hotel."
Great check in/check out experience. Staff was very friendly, esp the Sat night bartender! Very helpful in giving dinner recommendations- he rocked. Loved everything about this hotel, the only downside was that because it's downtown the outside noise when you are trying to sleep is very disruptive. Other than that I give it a 5....Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great place to stay!"
The location of this hotel makes it easy to access all of D.C. via the metro. The staff is helpful, and the building is clean and well kept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is very Nice and the staff is also extremely accommodating and friendly. The only downer is the area has stray people walking by but there is a 24 hour security guard right in front and valet parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the savings."
This is good hotel, with very close metro access. However, not ideal for a family trip. The area is a bit sketchy after dark, as others have pointed out. The indoor pool is very small, very warm, and not as clean as I would have liked. The cable TV options are limited and there is no ability to rent movies from the room. Otherwise, the service is good […] and the restaurant is convenient. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Hotel for the Price"
This is a very nice hotel, especially for the price. It is located within moments of a metro stop, so it's very easy to get around DC. I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at this hotel because of the NCAA basketball tournament. It was convienent to many restaurants, grocery stores, and the Verizon Center. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. Liked the security of the building. "LOVE and literally by the METRO!!!"
WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! Service was great! They kept our bags for us after checkout for several hours since our flight wasn't until later that night. It was right across the street from the Dept of ATF and several restaurants!!!! Metro was within 20 yards of the hotel's front door!!! So do not rent a car. YOu don't need it!!!! The metro is KING here!!! […] Union Station to NoMa Gaulladuet Univ Metro...wish we would have known that before we walked 1.4 miles from Union Station to Hotel!!!! "Not goin back......"
The location of this hotel is useful for DC Metro access. The down side is that there are trains running all night and lots of construction surrounding the building. A real mess with jackhammers going all night. Nowhere to walk in the evening. Did I mention the party on our floor in the middle of the night? Several rooms, lots of people, loud music, […] yelling, screaming ( kind of scary). Called the front desk at 130 AM. Never sent security until after 2:30 AM. I was told upon checkout that the guests were kicked out in the middle of the night. I was compensated for no sleep with 2 cups of complimentary coffee from the hotel Starbucks. Not goin back....... We enjoyed the stay very much. It was convient and close to where we needed to be. The breakfast was good and the service A-1. Everyone was friendly. We would book rooms at this location again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel appears to be in a not so safe part of the town. Police cars patrolling there. No good restaurant around. Close to metro station which making it convenient but also noisy when sleeping at night. It is worth the extra $$$ for me to stay at the Fairmont the following day on this trip.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, Well Run, Convenient Location"
My wife & I came up by train for busman's holiday. Selected this hotel based on ratings in Expedia and it's location on a metro stop. For the cost, I cannot imagine a better choice in a location this close to the Capital Mall. Staff was very nice and the room was clean & quite on the 8th floor. Our room included free breakfast from the on site restaurant. […] The menu is limited but sufficient for our needs. The pool, although small, was clean. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Some have mentioned the location as a transitional area. Not sure what they are talking about. I think they may have never stayed in a large city before. The location was fine, it's across the street from the ATF headquarters! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Weekend in the City."
Was looking to get away for the weekend and had never even to DC. The hotel is perfectly positioned for anyone using public transportation, as it's positioned right off of the "Red Line" of the Metro. The bar downstairs was nice, but grossly overpriced! What I really like about the hotel is that you can check in anytime. It's a hotel that's convenient to 7 Eleven, Harris Teeter and a few other places. "Best DC Hotel yet!"
This was the best DC hotel yet. I've been to DC 4 times over the years. Free internet, small pool, extremely helpful front desk, immaculate room. Free Washington Post and USA Today. Right off the Red line Metro. A++Genuine Expedia guest review
It was the worst hotel experience we have ever had in 40 years staying in Washington DC - bar none! With the metro and Amtrak trains passing outside the room, all the surrounding construction, the construction taking place in the restaurant below our room starting at 6:30 AM, no street parking, desolate streets on a Saturday and Sunday evening, an uninviting […] hotel lobby...it goes on and on!
