"Nice hotel, jump on the metro to eat"
The hotel is very comfortable and ultra convenient to the red line Metro. There is lots of fast food in the area but literally no restaurants. You will need to jump on the Metro to head to Gallery Place for dinner. Luckily, that takes less than 10 minutes.

"Appreciated the Early Check-In after a Red-Eye"
I was just going to check my bags at 11 am and then kill 4 hours before the 3 pm check-in, but the front desk checked me in and let me have the room right then. I was so impressed and pleased, especially after a long overnight flight from the West Coast.

"Comfortable accommodations but..."
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and responsive. The down side was the inadequate food service. The cafe was pleasant but had a limited menu, basically sandwiches, and limited hours.

"Great price and convenient to public transport."
Hotel check-in clerks and doormen were professional and curtious. Price and location to public transportation was ideal. Hotel is located in a business district so fine dining and entertainment is not close by but a convenient store (7-Eleven), Starbucks, and other small eateries are located within yards of the hotel enterance. Hotel was as good,or better, then was advertised on-line.

"Close to fast food, and Metro"
Our stay for a college graduation was nice. The only exception was that one of the daytime valet service men was quite rude, and seemed annoyed that our full party wasn't on the street when the car arrived. The beds were comfortable but there were no blankets available to use if the temperature became cold. Just a suggestion for other guests. Maybe I missed them? The showers were wonderful, and the maid staf were excellent giving us extra towels. Overall the stay was nice, maybe a discount to parents coming to stay for graduation weekend would be inorder. Some of the other hotel chains offer this. Maybe you can do it also.

"Nice Hotel in developing area, near train."
Love that there were eateries nearby and hotel gave easy access to train. Staff was nice, hotel lobby area was a nice place to visit with family stopping by for daughters graduation.

"Didn't get a good night sleep"
The hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. But it was in an unsafe neighborhood and on the train tracks which was very noisey at night. Plus the air conditioner was also very noisey each time it turned on so I kept waking up all night.

"Very Nice Hotel"
My husband and I came to DC for a Nationals game, and chose this hotel based on the location/price. Price wasn't crazy, compared to hotels that were closer to the stadium. The room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. It's nice that we were able to print our parking passes out in the lobby. However, we weren't able to leave on time the next morning, due to the valet. WOW. They had apparently damaged a vehicle, so we waiting in the lobby for an hour, along with a huge group of other guests waiting, until we finally got our car. That was the only issue, though.

Good location, next to metro station. Good hotel for the price. Clean, quiet, several eateries on the block for quick breakfast. My only complaint is the entrance to the building smelled strongly of tropical plants. It was overwhelming, including the elevators. The hotel lobby on the second floor was scent free, so just hold your breath until you get there. We would stay here again.

Nice, clean, consistent as always. The room I stayed in facing Florida Av on 3rd floor faced the metro tracks and was a bit loud. Very close to metro stop so a big plus in DC.

"Just Fine"
This facility has been remodeled in recent years in response to the growing regentrification of the surroundings. There are limited restaurants nearby, although some, but the Metro stop is at the edge of the property. The inside of the hotel is very nice and clean. We will stay there again.

"Great place to wait out a snowstorm."
I had to spend the night because of bad weather and the need to get to work the next day. This was my second stay this Winter and I have nothing but good things to say about the Courtyard Marriott in DC. Everyone was nice. My car was indoors so no cleaning it off from snow. Had a drink prior to sleep in the bar, which was good. Normally priced for DC. Business area good to check email on computer. Convenient to where I work so did not have to drive far in bad weather (1.6 miles). A little costly. May want to think about offering deals for those trapped in town due to weather. I am sure you would get more business. Overall very nice.

"Mariott Courtyard"
The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly however, there seemed to be no monitoring of the amount of people staying in a room or rooms. The pool was very crowded with some sort of children's pool party. The adults there were not at all concerned with the imposition on the other guest using the facility. The kids screamed and hollered and splashed everyone. They ran in and out of their room all night long and the children were not quieted at all. Overall the hotel stay was disappointing because, the other guest were not made to respect the hotel policies. In the future I would pick a Mariott but, it would be in a nicer part of Washington DC to try and avoid the "Riff Raff"

"If you want privacy, this isn't the hotel for you."
The location and being directly above the metro is why i chose this location. The room was updated and very comfortable. My only issue is awkward entrance arrangement. The first floor entrance is basically a filter that allows scrutiny of every and anybody that enters. The lobby is on the second floor. No guests you might have are allowed past the second floor unless they have a room key. You must go down and retrieve your own guests from the lobby where there is no real waiting area for them but plenty of prying eyes. Strange. Next time, different hotel.

"Nice hotel"
We had a late check in and asked for a late check out. They allowed us an extra hour to check out. At 1 instead of 12. The valet is expensive in my opinion however there is nowhere else to park

"wonderful stay!!"
We stayed in this hotel as it was close to where my daughter lives and we were visiting for Thanksgiving break. I found the hotel to be outstanding. very secure for a city hotel.A very modern, luxurious and clean facility. The swimming pool was nice and warm. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. The computer office area was large and looked out at the city scape. Only problem was reaching it by car trying to get around the one way streets in DC.

"Right by the Metro and restaurants"
This is a business hotel with not a lot of amenities--no free coffee, no free parking ($33 a night), no concierge desk. However, the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, which made up for the lack of frills. Our room had a king room squeezed in, and it was fine for us because we were in town to see family for the holiday weekend. We weren't in the room except to shower and sleep. The room was stuffy, and the heating/AC system was either too hot or too cold. The bathroom was clean, and they gave us lots of towels--we liked that. The room could be cleaned better. We found popcorn on the floor by the bed, but we never had popcorn in the room.

"Bed not made/convenient 2 min walk from metro"
booked and paid for 3 people in the room. When we opened the sofa bed, it was not made. Got free breakfast with our reservation thru hotels.com but they did not have record of that. There seems to be a disconnect between the hotel and hotels.com. This leaves lots of room for improvement. On a positive note; Manager gave us free dinner vouchers (we did not use them) but that was nice enough and the hotel is just a 1-2 minute walk from the metro.

"Nice Stay!"
I had a great stay here. The only thing that bothered me was the parking. I had to pay for valet and that is not cool. Why can't Marriott have a parking garage? I do have to say this, the valet guys were good guys and they were very helpful in getting our car to us in a timely manner. Another thing that was very bothersome was the construction because it was not a straight shot to the hotel. The hotel was very clean and the customer service was awesome.

The hotel had 'car service' which I had not been aware of prior to getting there. It was much easier to get to and from my meeting using the car service rather than relying on taxis. Everyone was extremely helpful. I needed a hotel in this part of town (not considered a particularly good part of DC but close to Catholic University) and chose it in part because it had a restaurant on site. Felt I had chosen very well and would not hesitate to use it again.

"Excellent hotel one stop away from Union Station"
The hotel was beautiful, clean, staff was friendly helpful. One thing I appreciated was the safety and privacy in order to use the elevator to get the the rooms you had to swipe your room key in order for it to move which was awesome. The food at the Bistro was excellent. I will most definitely revisit and recommend this hotel.

"Metro Good, location not so much."
This new hotel is clean and functional. Having the Metro practically in the lobby is a feature that is useful if you are a subway denizen like me. The location of the hotel is newly gentrified. You will not this by all the new building surrounding it and as such these establishments have limited history and track record. Also, just a few blocks in any direction but South you will find what remains of some very rough neighborhoods, including an honest to goodness Projects complete with rats, and corner boys. Assume by the mass of cranes and pits that even this little slice of American history will be white washed and wiped off of the grid.

"construction in area, difficult getting to hotel"
Our stay was wonderful once we found access to the hotel. Metro Police in DC were very inept at accomodating drivers in area. The hotel staff were wonderful, we felt extremely safe, great location next to NoMa Metro Station.

"Good Experience"
Stayed 3 nights and was very enjoyable. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Food was good in the bistro downstairs. Not a bad location of the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in getting cab, and helping with places to eat. Just happened to be there when there was construction happening around. Looked like another hotel going up in next block. Only 1/2 block from Metro.
