"New, clean and comfortable"
We just stayed for one night while travelling through. The hotel is quite new, clean and comfortable. Lots of pillows, comfortable beds, extra deep tub, flat screen TV. Parking lot is rather small if you are pulling a trailer. Breakfast room a bit cramped for the size of the hotel, but the continental breakfast was good. "Monte Carlo Inn Barrie"
The absolute best customer service ever!! The front desk staff particularly Kristin and Lisa helped us with some issues that we had regarding our length of stay and changing our rooms. We have stayed there before and highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. Could not have been more satisfied. Thanks to all who helped us.

Hotel was great and for the price I could not get any better. Only complaint was the soap they supply in the room. It was all natural which I thought would be good but it left a scum or film on my skin which drove me nuts. I could not even scrub it off. I would definitely stay again but I would bring my own soap.

The cleanliness of the hotel and room was excellent. While almost on the 400 HWY, very quiet and no noise. The included Continental breakfast needs great improvement, poor watery coffee, limited amount of food and bad unprofessional service from the waiter/attendant

"I HATE BEING 'NICKLED & DIMED'"
THE ROOM WAS FINE; COMFORTABLE BED. ALL WITHIN REASON. BUT, $10.00 A DAY FOR INTERNET CONNECTION IS A PAIN. THERE IS A VERY SMALL POOL, BUT NO HOT-TUB. BREAKFAST IS PERFUNCTORY; ONCE AGAIN, YOU CAN PAY EXTRA FOR EGGS, ETC. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD SAY THERE ARE NO ADVANTAGES TO THE MONTE CARLO COMPARED TO OTHERS NEARBY.
"Great Stay"
This was a great hotel. The staff were friendly and the continental breakfast could be upgraded with bacon/sausage and eggs for only $3.75. I would definitely stay there again.

"Monte Carlo Night"
The hotel is great for anyone looking to head into the city to have a good time, It is a short cab ride in. The hotel itself is not very old the rooms were very clean and for the price we got it was a good stay. Would recommend it to anyone who needed to spend a night in Barrie.

Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. I was not impressed with the restaurant staff. The pool was cold on Sunday morning and there was food debris around the deck.

I expected the hotel to be downtown but it was a little further than I had expected but still not too far. It was just right off the highway however and easy to find and get to.

I was put into a room surrounded by people that must have been travelling together - 2 nights of doors opening and closing, running in the halls, children crying, people laughing and carrying on - we had to get up quite early both mornings...I phoned on 2nd night and noise subsided after another 1/2 hr (now almost 1:00am) - I complained when I went […] to check out and and was offered an upgraded breakfast! I told them that for 2 sleepless nights I was expecting something more - he told me he could not and I asked to speak to the manager - she was not in but was told she would call me to discuss...two weeks later I am still waiting for her call - I will NEVER go back to this hotel for this reason no matter how clean it was! the room was nice but we found the bed to be extremely hard, making it uncomfortable. the pool was salt water and this time was a good temp. the included breakfast was pretty good as well.

Pleasantly surprised...the room was very clean...a little small. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was served from 6:00 a.m. on...was perfect as we wanted an early start to our trip.

Good location, newer hotel, just a couple years old, excellent room. However, there is a vent out side the room in the hallway that roared all night long. Staff were apologetic, upgraded our breakfast, offered to move us when we complained, but decided not to at 2am. "Beautiful Hotel...but a little loud."
As an overall rating, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Very cozy and comfortable. Easy to get to off the 400. When we arrived it was nice and quiet and then the hockey team showed up. Understandably, they were having fun but when 11pm hit, it's bedtime. Then the adults started. I'm not sure what was worse, the whispering or the drinking and bumping […] into our door until 2am. "Great hotel"
I've stayed here twice now and really enjoyed the stay both times. The restaurant is small but the food is great. Our second stay included a very loud group just down the hall but the management dealt with it as best as they could, it could happen anywhere. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo in Barrie after a medical appt. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good variety, but I upgraded to a "warm" meal for a few dollars more (well worth it!) I will stay again as it is close to shopping centres & right off Hwy. 400!
