"Convenient, friendly stay"
I was able to do an early check in and get ready for a meeting, which really helped. Everyone was very accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel, Noisy Neighbors"
This is hotel is in a fine location in downtown Portland--near the river and many attractions. The valet parking service was excellent, though a little pricey. The staff was great. It was great to have a 24-hour fitness center on site. My only complaint or concern was a party down the hall--must have been 20 or 30 young people...and alcohol. Hotel security […] and I believe the Portland Police had to eventually be called. It cost me a few hours of sleep. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk at check-out, she was very sympathetic/understanding and waived/reversed the valet parking charges, which I didn't request but did appreciate. "Convenient Location Nice Stay"
Hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the places that we were looking to go. Car valet was a bit expensive but their service was very good. Room was comfortable though my wife complained that the sheets made too much noise as my daughter and I moved as we slept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here for a girls' weekend in Portland and everyone here at the hotel was so friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the valet. It was within walking distance to the Crystal Ballroom, where we had to go, and shopping and food places like Sizzle Pie and Powell Books. The rooms were huge, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms were clean […] and up to date. The free Wifi was great too. We didn't hear any noise either between rooms or in the hallway. We would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walk to Voodoo"
Staff is wonderful and the hotel is in a perfect spot for exploring Portland. Within walking distance of great food and bars and Voodoo donuts!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful stay, would like to have a more affordable parking option at the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was great, except for finding black hair on the bed sheets. And the fitted sheet kept coming up off the bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and very comfy. Enjoyed the stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoy Portland and feel at home"
Very nice downtown hotel with easy walking distance to all local attractions via Portland's extensive transportation systems.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Please be aware to add another $32 for parking when booking this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel! Kind of expensive though."
Great location in the heart of downtown Portland! The hotel was nice, the beds were not as comfortable as I hoped for though. Parking was really expensive with the hotel: 30$ over night!!! We had to find another parking space. Street parking would have been free since it was saturday evening and you wouldn't have had to pay until 1pm on Sunday. However […] we didn't find a spot, so we found a parking garage that was 11$ per night on the corner of Spark and Broadway. The hotel was also helpful with finding alternative parking. Overall nice stay but not worth 160$ per night but I guess most downtown hotels are expensive. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
we had a really lovely weekend at the courtyard. The room was what I expect from a courtyard and we really enjoyed the restaurant attached (not a typical hotel restaurant. Fresh, local, creative). The hotel is clean and the location is fantastic. Easy access from the airport on the light rail and we even managed to walk from our front door up into the […] wilderness on a beautiful day. We will stay here again if we come back to Portland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed a couple nights here for a convention I was attending downtown. The hotel was nice, with clean rooms. And the staff was awesome. The people at the front desk were always friendly and personable. And I really liked that the fitness center was 24hrs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Room, terrible service"
The room and location are great, but the nature of the business treats you like cattle. You can get parking for $30/night (note: there is way cheaper parking nearby), and when we thought we might like to stay an extra night on a Monday night when they were not busy, they doubled the price even though we found an equivalent price to our previous nights […] online. As a result, we just went ahead to Seattle as scheduled... so Seattle received our HOT and tourist revenues instead of Portland. Good Decision on your part Marriott. "Great hotel for the price!"
I wanted a mid-ranged priced hotel & was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Our room was clean, service excellent & friendly, and the restaurant served an excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I liked the staff, the room, and the location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was a nice hotel, clean, good location, staff was nice, the restaurant/bar was set up a bit odd but the pie was great! The only negative was no pool or jacuzzi, would have been perfect then.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel and location"
The hotel is in a great location and very clean. The service was friendly and we really enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. The only thing we didn't like was the AC seemed to turn on and off every couple minutes no matter what you set it at.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time in Portland"
Spent the night in portland on our way through. Hotel was in an ideal location. Very high end. Friends of ours stayed in another hotel that were very disappointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in downtown Portland!"
While the rooms were a tad small (or moreso, awkwardly spaced on angles) the location could not be beat! Walking distance to a plethora of food cart strips, Mary's (a different type of strip), Dante's and the Saturday Market we found our selves centralized enough that we got to see what Portland was really about! Also, not far from one one of the many […] bridges that take you over the river to Hawthorne St. and Alberta, so 5 minutes from seeing what was shaking over there. Great, safe neighborhood. Parking $32 a night but you can go in/out as much as you'd like and the valet kids are super nice! Highly recommended! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location for downtown attractions!"
Very comfortable large room with King bed. The shower had great water pressure and I was on the 10th floor. The location was awesome for visiting Pub's, Powell Book Store, Pioneer Square and if willing to walk further the Art Museum is a must see.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Weekend stay at Courtyard Marriott"
Great location, just a couple blocks from the waterfront, pioneer place, and the Pearl district. Tons of restaurants and good trucks in the area. Hotel is well maintained and room service etc was always prompt and on time. We used street parking just outside the hotel as it's free after 7pm and parked at a garage around the corner for $5 during the […] day since we didn't want to spend $32/day on parking. We'll stay here again next time in Portland! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great value!"
The location of this Marriott Courtyard is perfect, just off the bustle worthy streets of Broadway and Burnside. It is walking distance from all points of the city that may be of interest, from the shopping district to Union Station to Old Town Chinatown and all points in between. The hotel itself is well maintained and clean, and the rooms are up to […] date and definitely comfortable! Also, from this location, eating options abound!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, nice view"
The hotel is right downtown, so it's within easy walking distance of Powell's, the Roseland and a bunch of other attractions. Very nice room, beds, bathroom, and the restaurant next door was great. The only downside that I didn't anticipate was the required valet parking for a fairly exorbitant rate. There are some self park options nearby, but they're […] not much better. Chalk my surprise up to being from a small town! Overall, great place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"in the heart of Portland"
Great location, friendly staff, free wifi. my only complaint is they only have valet parking that is way over priced at $30/day.. my rental car was only $22/day...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The front desk staff was very helpful, even at 3:30am! Parking was sold out, so he suggested we use street parking, which is free until 1pm on Sundays. The housekeeper did wake us up at 9:30am, knocking on all the doors around us, asking if we needed anything. That was unwelcome and not necessary.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for cycling"
We stayed at the hotel for one night. We arrived around noon and we were able to check into our room immediately. The room we were given did not appear to have been vacuumed. There was lint and crumbs on the carpet. When the bellboy came up shortly with our bags, I showed him the carpeting. I was given the choice of having the room vacuumed or changing […] rooms. Since the view from the room was of chimneys and rooftops, we opted to change rooms. We were given a new room immediately with a view of the street below and buildings (which was much better than the first room). The staff were very helpful and friendly. My son found the discovery channel (26) on tv and was fascinated with the show, as it was shark week. It was too bad that we kept losing the signal every 5 minutes and at times even more frequent. I was surprised at the cost to park our car overnight. There was only valet parking available at $32. I guess that's the going rate for downtown parking in a big city, but I thought that was steep. "Decent hotel for the price"
Hotel was about 4 blocks away from Powell's bookstore. When booking, hotel claim that guests receive free bottled waters. I saw that there weren't any water bottles, I called front desk and a man answered saying that their tap water is good. Don't falsely advertise. We stayed in a standard 2 queen bed room. It was really roomy and super clean, their […] housekeepers do a great job. Bathrooms had fully stocked towels, maybe even extra because a couple of friends slept over and we didn't have to call housekeeping. Their gym is decent for a brief workout. The tv is a little tricky, had to manually flip the channel 1 by 1 to see what options I had. I really liked how front desk puts away baggage and brings it out instead of being forced to pay bellman to go back and forth. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Easy parking albeit expensive. (32.00). I guess that's the going rate. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was nice, I suggest it!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Sufficient but not outstanding"
The room was close to the downtown event we were participating in, which is why we chose this hotel. There was no parking available and we felt the need to use the hotels valet parking as a result. The room was clean and comfy but outdated. There was no fan in the bathroom which made for a sauna effect in the room when someone was showering. Overall […] the experience was OK, nothing spectacular, but clean and nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great location downtown. Pleasant and comfortable hotel. Easy walk to Powell's City of Books.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Small but nice!"
The room seemed small but over all nice. Roomy shower, plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Bed was ok, a bit hard. Room was quiet. Location was great and staff was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You pay for the location"
A great location, easily walkable to so many cool things to see and do in Portland. At the hotel the room was fine. The lobby was very small and difficult to navigate through at times because of crowds and the location of the elevators. The doormen were absolutely no help when I needed them, approaching with kids, stroller, shopping bags. It feels like […] we didn't get our money's worth on this stay. I'll try somewhere else next time I'm in downtown Portland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This was the perfect hotel for us: great location - close to all the things we wanted to do, very close to the MAX line, friendly staff, affordable. We would definitely stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Love it. Surprised as how large room felt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was good except for the additional parking fees. My Mother is Diabled and the parking Valle was great . But because the room rate was over 225.00 for one night. The additional cost of the parking that was not disclosed to us prior to the check in caused a bit of a financial hardship.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Courtyard Marriott City Center Thank you so much for writing us a review. I am sorry that you were unhappy about the parking charges but we try to disclose everything up front. On the bottom of the Courtyard page they have a section called small print that lists valet costs. I hope you still choose to stay with our property the next time you visit Portland.
Hotel is nice and service is great. The only real complaint is that there is no free parking. Parking at hotel was $32. We decided to park on the street as it is free from 7pm to 8am....just had to run and feed the meter in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location, nice room."
We found this hotel well located, comfortable for our family of three. You can walk everywhere from here. It is especially close to the amazing Powell's bookstore.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place, convenient location"
This hotel has very modern decor and layout. It's close to all downtown attractions. The staff was nice and the fact that dogs are allowed (for a pretty typical fee) was convenient. No complaints. If you like a clean, sharp-looking hotel for a reasonable price, this is the place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall good. The room was clean but the mirrors were filmed from cleanser used to wash and the towels were very thin.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Just ok nothing special"
Of all the Marriott hotels in Portland this is my least fav. The rooms are oddly shaped and the view is ho hum. There is a construction project across the street so not very pretty. The street noise is pretty loud from buses and traffic. The pillows are like rocks although the bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Courtyard Marriott City Center Thank you for writing us a review. We are happy you enjoyed our comfortable beds. Street noise and construction can be difficult.
