"Thanksgiving days in Portland"
The room was a bit chilly, even with the thermostat turned up but overall I enjoyed the view. The hotel was right in the middle of our activities and convenient to the lite rail line. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"pdx downtown courtyard"
we moved to this hotel from staying at the Loyd Ctr Residence Inn (because it was too noisy) and loved the price and location. not as modern as many Courtyard hotels but could not beat the price and right across the street from Portland City Grill! "Easy downtown spot for staying with a dog"
We've stayed at the Courtyard Marriott City Center half a dozen times now, and keep coming back for multiple reasons. First of all, we are usually traveling with our dog, and the folks at the Courtyard Marriott are always welcoming and friendly when we bring her in. The "pet floor" on the 2nd floor is super convenient, and there's a few easy spots to […] take her out to within a few blocks of the hotel. Second, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. And lastly, the location is great! We can walk to basically wherever we want, but at a much lower price than most of the other pet-friendly hotels downtown. Highly recommended! "Great hotel in a great location !!"
I stayed four nights and it really was a great stay :) They offer complimentary internet in your room (they give you a code when you check in). There is also complimentary coffee in the lobby early each morning. The food carts are just 1/2 block up the street to get cheap Mexican, Korean, breakfast burritos, ect... Also, the bathroom that I had in my […] standard room was huge !! The hotel's location for downtown Portland can not be beat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"2 nights early 30's"
great location, great room and great service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
3 issues: It was difficult to find a place to park/stop in front of the hotel. We circled 4 times before a spot opened up. Rooms were not ready at 6 pm and the staff was defensive instead of supportive. Clearly it had been a bad day. Not a good start. In the morning I discovered no sugar or creamer in the room for the coffee. :-(Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quick hasty hotel decision"
Not the best PDX hotel experience. Parking is outrageous for the level of hotel-granted, it is downtown but $30 a day is crazy, not to mention waiting 17 minutes for it to be brought around..(and yes, I texted ahead as instructed) Front desk staff distracted, robotic and not outwardly friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Unfriendly hotel staff, expensive hidden overnight parking fee etc... Not sure if we will use this hotel any more...Genuine Expedia guest review
Very surprised to find out about the $50 pet fee for our small dog after booking the room. That is not "pet-friendly". Assigned on the second floor of the high rise, dogs barking all night. Found coffee stains on the to-go coffee cup lid. Found long black hairs in the bathroom and also on another coffee cup lid. Disgusting. Front desk staff was not […] very friendly. "overall hotel was a pleasant surprise"
great downtown location - very nice and contemporary inside. some rooms have great city views (including the one i was in). above average fitness facility - although when will hotels wise up and get more free weights - ie, heavy dumbbells to 100 lbs, and a full squat rack with bar and free weights - this one piece of equipment can be used for a wide […] variety of exercises and is a very efficient use of space. would definitely stay here again. We were on the 16th floor and everything was great, until we tried to fall asleep. There was a noise coming from the door. Did not know about the extra charge for parking.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice property with friendly front desk staff. Room very clean. Great location in the heart of Portland's downtown. Can walk to many bars/restaurants very easily. Expensive valet parking, but that's to be expected with an inner-city hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel situated perfectly for walking Portland."
Hotel states that check in starts at 3 p.m. However, we arrived at 11:30 a.m. and went to the desk and they said yes, our room was ready and we were welcome to check in early. Great! We let the valet park our car and we had the entire day to enjoy the town without having to find a public parking place for a few hours before being able to check in. "Nice hotel in downtown."
A great place to stay if you are there to explore the city.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was in a great location and the staff members were all friendly. I wish I could say more great things about my stay but the beds were VERY firm and uncomfortable, the rooms were cramped and the parking is expensive ($30/night so take that into account when looking at the nightly rate). "Had a great stay."
This hotel looks brand new on the inside. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. It is also right across the street from Portland City Grill, which has amazingly delicious food and sweeping views of the city. Great downtown location. The only surprise we experienced is how much they charge […] for parking a car ($30 a night), which seemed like a lot, but that would not deter me from staying there again. This is my third stay at the Courtyard Marriott City Center and I've never had anything but a great experience here. "Hard to Beat"
I really couldn't have asked for more from the Courtyard Marriott City Center. It is really a boutique hotel that happens to have a Courtyard sign on it. The staff was excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location could hardly be better if you want to stay downtown. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the Money"
Upon arrival at the easily accessible front door, the valet handled our bags and car efficiently. The check-in process is standard. The rooms are tight, but have all the basic components. There is no bath tub. Otherwise, the bathroom is large and would accommodate two people preparing at the same time. The style of the room is modern and soothing. The […] hotel is close to Voodoo donuts, the Alder Street Food Carts and transportation links to the rest of downtown. We took light rail and the streetcar directly to 23rd Avenue. "Nice hotel in a great area"
The hotel is quite nice and is in an area where you are in walking distance to a number of great restaurants and pubs. I had planned to get to the gym but with all the walking we did, I didn't get a chance to try it out. The room was clean and quite comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is connected to a nice restaurant, we stopped […] in for a drink and the food looked great and we had heard good things from friends. We tried to eat there on a Friday night but there was large gathering and it was really noisy and we knew the service would be slow so we ended up leaving to go somewhere else. Our room was on the Oak street side and we were fairly high up. In the middle of the night, there were some workers across the street in another building throwing trash out of the building in to dumpsters below. It was quite annoying and went on for quite a period of time. I know this isn't the fault of the hotel but if you are sensitive to noise I would request a room that isn't on the Oak street side. Overall this is a really good hotel in a great location and despite the noise in the middle of the night, we enjoyed our stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Room was small. Didn't offer much to accommodate our dog. Shower and bed were nice. Good location with surrounding things to do and rail access. Recommend saving yourself money and park your car yourself in a nearby garage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, downtown, easy access to everything"
Nice hotel in the downtown area. Easy access to everything. Modern vibe. Pros: clean, polite staff, again - easy access to everything downtown, room had all the regular amenities. Two minor cons: incredibly slow elevators - expect to wait. and Google directions to get there were incorrect (look to the left when it says the hotel is on the right!)Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay at Courtyard Marriott City Center was excellent. The room was clean and very nice. The concierge and staff were excellent and EXTREMELY helpful. I would say the front desk could be a bit more polished, when I asked to have our room freshened while we were at dinner. I had to explain to her that we needed fresh bathroo linens, etc. In addition the response from front desk was 'I will see if we can do that'. As well they did freshen but it was sloppy and a fresh bathmat was not given.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Night with no kids"
Stayed was great. Went to Portland for a night away. After checking in there was a knock on the door, wondering who was knocking we answered. The staff set up a bottle of wine to help us enjoy our night away from the kids. This was very unexpected. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quite might away.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, clean, comfortable"
Valet was quick, room service was good, the room was clean and comfortable. There were tons of food carts nearby if you want a quick bite. The Tom McCall waterfront park, Powell's, VooDoo doughnuts, and other popular tourist sites were within a short walk. It is pricey, but worth it if you want a nice hotel in a good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice hotel in downtown portland. Only complaints hotel accidentally left us 2 conditioners and no shampoo. Didn't realize it till I was already in shower. "Great hotel - Downtown Portland is a let down"
Hotel was nice and the people were very accomidating. As much as we enjoyed Oregon, Portland was a let down. Tons of street people. "Would definitely stay here again"
The hotel was so conveniently located - literally steps away from a Starbucks, the light rail and around the corner the "FOOD TRUCKS!" We didn't rent a car because we knew the valet parking was high - but if you don't rent a car and can walk and/or use public transport, you're golden. We walked most of the time to the Brew tours, the Shanghai tunnel […] tours, the farmer's market near the university, the markets near the Reddick Fountain and at nearby the Pioneer Square shopping district. We would definitely stay there again. The fitness centre was very well equipped and easily accessed, the Dinerant nearby was helpful our first (late) night, the staff was friendly and upon checkout (after booking and prepaying via Hotels.com) we were met with NO surprises on the bill. They had a mini fridge in the room. That mattress was awesome. It really highlighted out need to get a new mattress at home because we didn't wake with back stiffness - which is our usual affliction at home. So all in all, great wonderful and great. The Courtyard Marriott City Center was the perfect place to stay. I was blown away by how beautiful and clean the lobby, elevator and room was. The decor was funky yet relaxing. "Hotel overall is good"
Hotel overall is good, close to downtown locations. Neighborhood is not so good, with a lot of homeless. If you have a rental car, park somewhere else as the hotel valet is overpriced at $30 per night. It is not safe to park on the streets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect location for Downtown Portland!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only thing that is good about this hotel is the distance between the public transportation and the shopping areas. But the hotel itself suck! "Excellent Downtown Location"
As first time leisure travelers to Portland, we found the location of the Courtyard Marriott City Center to be excellent. The location provides easy walking distance to different venues. "Perfect for a weekend getaway!"
This hotel is in the heart of Portland. No need to rent a car, just walk!
