Well to start off when we got in the room we went to put our drinks In the refrigerator to find it was broken ! It was water everywhere inside when we opened it . We called the receptionist to let her know and she told us she was calling maintenance . Not even a minute later she called back and said they didn't have anymore refrigerators and that she […] was putting us in a new room. We got in the room and I immediately noticed it wasn't in as good of shape as the other room . There was also a stain on the bed spread that I was able to pick off so that let me know the spread hadn't been washed and it made me wonder about the whole room. We told the receptionist again which this time she gave us new sheets and cover but gave us the wrong size sheets so they didn't fit the bed .. My boyfriend took those back she gave us new sheets but told us they weren't anymore cover blankets so we would have to come back down . By that time we were tired so we slept without the blanket which made my stay uncomfortable because my boyfriend likes it cold in the room and I like to have a blanket .. My weekend at Comfort Suites started bad and the customer service was horrible! I only choose this hotel for the hot tube and inside pool. On arrival, I went through 3 rooms. Country Inn and Suites Review This was our third stay at The Country Inn & Suites; in the Hampton Roads area to visit our son and daughter in the Navy. Every staff member has been friendly and very willing to meet our needs. The rooms were clean and there were plenty of power outlets for computers and cell phones. I did notice that it is time for a remodel; the shower pipe had created an ugly hole in the wall and the hallway door and obvious heavy pry marks on the frame. Had to go to Churchland for my Sister-Inlaws funeral. We stayed two nights at the Comfort Inn - Joint Forces. We got a King no smoking reservation and upon arrival the staff were friendly, and curtious. I would probably stay there again. However, upgrades are required at the complimenary breakkfast. These include thicker bacon, and homemade scrambled eggs in lieu of the frozen heated ones served. Additionally, personel should be available at night for maintenance issues. I had to switch rooms because no one could repair the TV channel changer.

This is an out of control party hotel on weekends. We were kept up until 3 AM with people shouting in the halls & children running everywhere. No help from the front desk. The noise started back up at 6:45 AM. We have stayed in hotels all over the world & NEVER anything as out of control as this, with no help from the staff. We found a pair of dirty socks under the covers of the sofa bed, they appeared to be taken off while the person was in the bed because they were at the foot of the bed under the covers. Room was good. Bed, in my opinion, was rock hard! It had a very thin inadequate pad on top that did little good. Also, the closet doors had too strong a spring that closes them. They snapped closed on my arm twice and left a big bruise.

This hotel is clean and spacy, but is not can be maintained better. The coffee maker in my room was not working and called front desk for replacement. They said they can replace the coffee maker next morning! I should depart early morning and no need for replacement. Breakfast was okay, but there are too many people in small space. Nothing nearby.

Great value for a quality room. The location is great for families looking to enjoy Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens, and Williamsburg among other locations. There were many convenient restaurant and shopping locations nearby. We arrived early and were pleasantly greated by staff who welcomed us to check in to our room early. We were there during what turned out to be a busy weekend for them. They didn't have enough staff to handle the crowd, which led to long waits at the desk and not enough upkeep of the hotel. The front desk staff was not friendly (perhaps because they were overwhelmed#. For example, the pool area was dirty, as if there had been a kids' birthday party […] and no one had cleaned up properly. The pool was also filled with unsupervised and FULL of rowdy children. Our room was okay, but the pull out sofa was more uncomfortable than we expected it would be for our poor kids. There was also a hole in the bathroom door #like someone had kicked it in# that was covered with duck tape. Frankly, given the crowds and room quality we wanted to leave after being there an hour. My husband and I visited this hotel as a "get-away" from all the hustle and bustle of the past few months.. The hotel stay would have been great except for the 13, 7-9 year old girls who decided to take over the pool area. Have stayed here many times, but none compare to this horrible experience. First the keys did not work, and then the elevators and hallways smell of straight marijuana. In a supposed smoke free hotel. Gave me a terrible headache and made me sick to my stomach.
