The hotel was beautiful, I just wishes we would have gotten what we paid for. Was put in a handicapped room, which was not what I chose. Had to argue about the breakfast for 2 that was paid for, and didn't get the hotel credits that were paid for. Overall, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again.

Everything was perfect. The rooms are very nice with great amenities. Only one small thing went wrong when we received our wake up call 20 mins late. Good thing we had set our own alarm! The concierge apologized and refunded our service fee, so that was kinda nice. However, I feel like a late wake up call may cost other tenants more than a $25 refund […] can fix. My wife and I were looking for a nice place to spend a much-needed weekend together and to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival the valet wowed us with their eagerness to take care of us, our car, luggage and even offer a bottle of water. The concierge greeted us, reminding us of our hotel credit as well as breakfast for 2 up to a certain amount. […] We were excited about our stay! The room was gorgeous and the big TV was nice to watch a movie together (no DVD player to speak of so we had to do pay-per-view, which is just a little irksome). The hot tubs were kept nice and warm despite the falling snow. Then we went to the restaurant to use our hotel credit and maybe a little more. However, we had no idea exactly how much more until the check arrived. Total bill: $130. For what exactly? A restaurant experience that was under construction, extremely unsatisfying food, and they even charged us $8 for the "still" water that was offered at the start of the meal! Even with the hotel credit I would never have paid $40 for that meal, let alone the balance that we were stuck with! Needless to say, we decided to get room service for breakfast: much better! Then upon check-out, the new concierge labored under the pretense that there was no record of the hotel credit, nor the breakfast for 2. So we had to go upstairs to print our itinerary to prove our case right as we were leaving. It felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on us. A bad note to end on for a pretty mediocre stay. After a summer of sweltering heat and drought, my husband and I wanted to go somewhere cold. While we knew the likelihood of any ski resorts being open was slim, we decided to go ahead and stay at the Waldorf for our honeymoon. Because it was right on the edge of ski season (two local resorts were open), the hotel was fairly deserted. We were in a […] King Residence, which included two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and fireplaces in the bedroom and living room. Unfortunately, due to altitude sickness, we spent the first two days in room. Luckily, it was quite comfortable. The pool and hot tub area were wonderful. We managed to take a dip in the hot tub before we left, and it was quite wonderful to be out in the chilly weather, under the stars, in a warm pool. The staff were wonderful for the entire stay. We rented a car, and valet is the only option - there is a $25 resort fee per day. We never took advantage of the free shuttle to Park City. The valets were very quick in getting the car when we needed it. The only problem we experienced was related to my husband's down allergy. We notified housekeeping upon our arrival that we needed all the down removed from the bedroom. They took the comforter and pillows, but left the down mattress cover, which we only discovered 2 days later, after 2 nights of bad sleep. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The room and hotel are beautiful, and when the Canyons resort is open, you can literally walk across the street to go skiing! Read more

We normally stay at the St. Regis, Deer Valley at this time of year but for some reason their rates have increased. We had never stayed at the Waldorf, but it looked nice and the rates were closer to what we were used to so we decided to try it. We were very pleasantly surprised! They even brought us freshly baked cookies and a personalized card after we checked into our room. We had a King Suite room that was very nice...again we felt it was a step above the St. Regis which we love. We stayed overnight at the Waldorf for our anniversary and we were quite disappointed in the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The floor had food crumbs on the floor, the microwave was disgusting and tub didn't drain very well. It gave the room the feeling that they don't clean very well. The turn down service came after 9:00 and kept knocking […] on our door until we answered and the maid came first thing in the morning before we were even dressed to clean the room. We stayed at this hotel with our three sons. The concierge was fantastic. We hiked daily, went white water rafting and relaxed by the pool. The amenities at the hotel were wonderful. I would highly recommed this hotel.

We decided to overnight at the WA in Park City rather than down in Salt Lake City at the airport. The rate on Hotels.com was so low, it was a no-brainer! Just got back from spending 2 nights at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with a full (beautiful) kitchen. This room easily accommodated 2 adults and 3 children. The sofa bed was very comfortable and they provided a free roll-away bed. The pool was heated so everyone enjoyed swimming even though it was cold and snowing. I use to stay in Salt Lake City for my medical trips. Since staying at the Dakota Waldorf in Park City, I will not be going back to SLC! Twice the Hotel […] for almost as much per room. The off skiing season, is the best price and staff are greatful to help you. And they have lots to do biking, ski lifts to the top of the mountain, local scenery is outstanding and local caves for spelunking, Sundance (Town developed by Robert Redford) great for its beauty, hiking and entertainment. The overall hotel was great the room was another story. We had several issues with the room from small moths flying around all night to the tv not working they fixed it the first time but gave up when we had to call again. We also had issues with the jetted bath tub which they told us to make sure we filled it to the top before turning on the jets. […] I think anyone who has stayed at a waldorf astoria has probably used a jetted tub before.
