We stayed in Abilene as we attended the Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater. It was a good location and the mall and restaurants were just around the corner. When we first arrived, I opened the closet door, which was a full length mirror, and it fell off the hinges in my hands. Overall, this hotel is in great condition. It appears to be new and well maintained. The breakfast was better than most, although the coffee was cold on Saturday (was fixed quickly though). I would recommend!

My stay in Abilene was to assist a family member while she was in the hospital. Comfort Inn and Suites is very close and convenient to the hospital. My room was comfortable and clean. A complete breakfast was available and everyone at the hotel was courteous and friendly. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.

The hotel was extremely clean and organized. Our only complaint concerned hotel guests next door to our room that were out in the hallway at 2am making quite a lot of noise. This continued once they were in their room and lasted at least 30 minutes. Because the hotel was very full we did not call the desk to complain.

Our stay at the Comfort Inn was no surprise since we are frequent guests at Comfort Inns in our travels across the USA. Located just three blocks from the Abilene Regional Medical Center it was very convenient for our overnight stay while a family member had surgery. The only minor hiccup we had in our stay was getting the room cooled down initially, […] but the a/c unit worked fine later. The staff including the francise/owners were very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was tasty and included fresh scrambled eggs and ham. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Read more

Had trouble checking in -- first, my key didn't work, after which I walked into the room to find that another guest was checked into the room with all their things about (thankfully the guest wasn't in the room at the time) and finally got into my own room. Good experience. Very clean, friendly staff. The only thing, I told housekeeping we were staying an extra night, so if she would leave clean linens she wouldn't have to clean our room. I had to go down to the desk and ask for linens. They didn't empty the trash cans or check the toliet paper.

The hotel was new and very nice. Staff were courteous. Everything was clean. I like to read the local newspaper and there were plenty of papers available. The free breakfast had a good variety. The room was roomy, quiet, clean and neat. Enjoyed everything about the stay.

I thought that breakfast could have stayed open maybe another half hour. When you arrive late sometimes you want to sleep in a bit before heading out again. Even fast food restraunts stay open until 10:30.

The facilities are clean and quiet, and we found that access to most any location in Abilene involves very little time so that this location proved to be onvenient to both the college and shopping. Everything was clean and neat. Employees were courteous. I just wish the outside pool had been open since the temperature was 90 degrees and my granddaughter really wanted to swim. To early in the season I guess but that's ok.

Great hotel, definite re-stay. Disappointing factor, we arrived at 2:00AM due to travel issues. Asked for a late check out of 12-Noon instead of the 11:00AM time, and clerk was very cold about that we had to be out before 11:30AM or earlier...she really didn't care!

Hotel was nice but due to two (2) star construction the walls and doors were not sound proofed as say in a Marriott so there were some "cross noise" issues. In addition, we were located by elevator and we could hear it's operation/dinging at floor and the loading/off loading of passangers.

Overall the hotel was not bad at all - what was HORRIBLE (and I realize this is personal preference) was that the mattress was like sleeping on a cement slab! Both my back and hips ached by morning. I'd think they'd select a firmness that was more middle of the road rather than extreme.
