Great hotel for a four night stay in Cape Town. Conveniently located near the Castle of Good Hope & District Six museum. Easy access to highlights of the city center. Beautiful restaurant with a delicious & bountiful breakfast buffet (especially for the price!) Concierge & porters went out of their way to suggest attractions not to be missed. Room was consistently spotless. Would definitely stay there again.

On two occasions hotel staff entered my room unannounced while I was undressed. The first was there to check the mini-bar and insisted on asking what I used even as I stood there shocked in my underwear. Second occasion involved staff member just walking in saying he was there to "check the room"??? Otherwise, front desk and concierge services were helpful. On site beef restaurant was pleasant but did not come close to serving quality of beef it advertised.

Good hotel despite some other posts I read. Modern clean. Street noise is no joke. Great Asian food downstairs. Front desk and resturant fantastic service.

The Adderley is a great little funky hotel. The front desk staff and manager went out of their way to help us rent a car, buy a cell phone, plan day trips. Having a kitchenette was great. We used it quite a lot. The pool is a wading pool, no laps, but refreshing. I would definitely stay there again.

"Amazing hotel!"
Loved this hotel - breakfast was fantastic, suite was massive and amazing. perfect location for the V&A waterfront. Staff all very friendly, Nobu was amazing. Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Definitely made our trip, thanks One & Only! xxx
"One&Only - its name says it all"
Stayed there for 2 nights on Nov 2011. Got the island room. Amazing location, spacious room with the state of the art facilities. I never been to such room, and I’ve been to quite a few. "The One and Only - Cape Town"
The One and Only is certainly a hotel which is very close to the V & A Waterfront with only a 5 minute walk at most. It is also extremely close to a stop for the open top sightseeing bus which we did, and found it a great way to see the city to get your bearings. The hotel itself is of a very high standard, and provides an extensive buffet for breakfast […] which is of a very good standard. The room we stayed in was a marina view room with a large balcony, and this too was very well appointed, with coffee/tea machine; fridge; tv; sofa; large bathroom. We used the laundry service a couple of times - it was very efficient. There are so many nice restaurants on the V & A to choose from so there will always be a draw away from the Hotel to eat on the waterfront. However, Ruebens was very good which is situated in the hotel. It has a good selection of fish and meat. We had a rental car so drove out most days exploring - we also took our own sat nav from the UK and downloaded to SA maps which was proved to be a great move on our behalf as it got us around the Cape into the Winelands and back to the hotel without any problems. The Staff at the Hotel were all excellent in every aspect of customer service with nothing appearing too much trouble for the guest. Read more

our rooms were amazing and the service was next to none. hotels .com got s an incredible deal and we really felt we hit the jackpot the whole time we stayed there. included in our stay was a breakfast buffet that blew our minds. oysters, pain au chocolat, and everything in between, miles of yogurts and fruits and nuts, breads, meats, eggs, you name […] it. this really is the most spectacular place on earth. "One and Only Capetown"
Wonderful facility in a great location. Close to tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants. Staff exceptional. Views to Table Mountain from balcony were wonderful. No obvious security issues in the area. Would stay there again and strongly recommend to anyone going to Capetown.

Très grand hotel 5 étoiles, chambre marina suite absolument magnifique avec vue sur le table mountain, petit-déjeuner buffet hors du commun, restaurant japonais délicieux mais trop bruyant. Un séjour magique, mais trop bref pour nous....
